The Uganda Lead receives a part-time wage to deliver stakeholder advocacy and training services in her country; I do not pay myself, and I finance everything from project delivery to procurement from my own savings. 

We are seeking volunteer fundraisers to help us promote, update, and widely share our active and future GoFundMe campaigns and to help us form a funding pipeline in a more raitonal, proactive manner.

In our current project and campaign, we are trying to raise essential funds toward our Uganda training and upskilling incubator project in partnership with Tranz Network Uganda. This particular GoFundme campaign supports the delivery and sustainability of our entrepreneurship incubator.

With future fundraising and comms, you will be involved in shaping our strategy to generate income to implement our other educational mission: to deliver low- or no-cost coding bootcamps to vulnerable LGBTQ+ communities in Africa and South Asia, and to deliver refugee-specific empowerment programmes.

Every year, RSPCA North West London & South Hertfordshire Branch CIO rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes hundreds of unwanted, stray and abandoned animals. As a separately registered RSPCA branch, we are responsible for raising our own funds locally. Donations, grants, gifts in wills and support from our community are vital to making sure we can continue helping animals in need.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to different cultural, social, and organisational contexts.
• Alignment with Disability Africa’s vision and way of working, including the Social Model of Disability, and a willingness to apply this ethos in practical partnership-building.
• An ethical and reflective approach to collaboration, grounded in integrity, transparency, and accountability.
• Commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities, and to approaches that expand access and participation for disabled children and young people.

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience in partnerships, fundraising, business development, CSR, or NGO work.
• Familiarity with international development, disability inclusion, education, or community-based programmes.
• Experience working with or alongside grassroots organisations.

Time Commitment

• Flexible; typically 4–6 hours per week.
• Minimum commitment of 12 months.
• The role can be adapted to the volunteer’s availability and interests.

YOUR MISSION

As Treasurer, you will oversee the financial heartbeat of the Lyonic Scots. Your work ensures our projects thrive, our community grows, and our heritage endures.

You will:

• Maintain clear, accurate financial records

• Manage membership fees, donations, and Clan funds

• Prepare simple financial reports for the Council

• Support budgeting for cultural projects and events

• Ensure compliance with UK community‑group and charity‑style standards

• Advise the Council on sustainability and long‑term planning

Your leadership will help guide the Clan with transparency, wisdom, and honour.

For banking, compliance, and legal governance, this role requires someone living in the United Kingdom. You can volunteer remotely — but your location ensures our financial operations remain lawful, secure, and aligned with UK standards.
