Your role

We are seeking a Digital Communication & Events Coordinator to support Design for Good’s programmes and initiatives. You will bring energy, ownership, and initiative to strengthen existing work and deliver new activities, working closely with our Communications & PR lead, programme staff, and senior management to execute our digital communications and events strategy.

Key requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in Business, Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related field, with a strong interest in digital communications and events.

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, able to structure, prioritise, and meet deadlines consistently.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote, international team.

• Able to manage multiple priorities and support planning and coordination of digital and in-person events.

Key responsibilities

Digital Communications & Social Media

• Support development and execution of social media strategies to expand reach and impact.

• Schedule, publish, and manage content across social and email channels.

• Create social media assets (graphics, animations, reels, videos).

• Monitor, analyse, and report monthly on performance.

• Ensure consistency across all digital communication channels.

• Support creation of the Annual Review, including content coordination and internal reviews.

• Develop and adapt presentations for partners, funders, events, and internal use.

• Prepare briefings and communication materials for stakeholders and events.

Website Development & Maintenance

• Manage website content via CMS (Squarespace experience a plus).

• Gather, create, and post relevant content.

• Analyse and report key platform metrics monthly.

Online and In-person Events

• Support planning and delivery of webinars, Q&A sessions, and other online events.

• Moderate live chats and Q&A sessions, including Slack and Teams.

• Upload and manage event recordings on YouTube.

• Assist coordination of in-person events, including the annual global gathering and CDO roundtables.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content.

• Experience supporting events beyond logistics, including participant engagement and follow-up.

The Role

Pregnant Then Screwed’s Tribunal Mentor Programme is a peer-to-peer support service for women and parents taking legal action against an employer for pregnancy and maternity discrimination. We match mentees with volunteer mentors who have been through the Employment Tribunal process themselves for 12 weeks of support through weekly calls. We relaunched the programme in October 2025, and now, with funding from The National Lottery, we are looking for a part time Support Services Coordinator to help us grow and maintain new mentoring matches. 

As the Support Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting and inducting mentees and volunteers onto the programme and supporting matches throughout their journey. You’ll also drive engagement with the programme, and develop recruitment strategies for potential volunteers and mentees. 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the Tribunal Mentor Programme and volunteers. 

• Welcoming new mentee and mentor applicants to the programme through 121 and group calls. 

• Recruitment and engagement of new volunteers and participants. 

• Monitoring our Community WhatsApp groups and responding to enquiries.

• Hosting regularly mentor and mentee online check-ins.

• Researching further support and signposting options for mentees.

• General administrative tasks, including managing volunteer and mentoring data, supporting the Head of Support Services with reporting data and responding to general enquiries. 

• Supporting our Head of Support Services with volunteer training, policy and process development. 

• Supporting other Support Services projects where necessary.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Volunteer engagement - demonstrated through experience managing or coordinating volunteers.
• Diversity, equity and inclusion focus, able to demonstrate a deep understanding of (and confidence in discussing) anti-oppression. 
• Engaging written and verbal communication skills - demonstrated through a proven ability to craft engaging newsletters, social posts or discussion prompts.
• Mentee and mentor growth and retention - demonstrated through experience in growing and sustaining a befriending or mentoring programme (or transferable skills from other types of service user engagement)
• Technologically proficient and confident - demonstrated through experience using Beacon or other CRM systems and digital work tools.

What We Offer 

• Flexible working is embedded in our culture with employees working different hours, and days of the week.

Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers. 

You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. 

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South West region in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire or Somerset. There will be occasional travel around the South West Region, and you will be required to travel for quarterly face to face team meetings. 

About the team 

The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in the South West, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a larger team of 10, which includes two Regional Casework Managers and a Regional Operations Manager. 

About you 

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

 It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the South West would be valuable

At WeSwim, we support disabled adults to swim in welcoming, inclusive volunteer run clubs across London. For many of our swimmers, the water offers a new freedom, easing pain, building confidence, and opening up new ways to move and connect.

We’re now looking for a Cubs and Community coordinator to help keep our swim sessions running smoothly and our community growing well.

This role is about people, organisation and care. You’ll coordinate weekly swim sessions, support swimmers throughout their journey with WeSwim, and make sure the behind-the-scenes admin is handled accurately and calmly. You’ll play an important role in welcoming new swimmers into our community,  building relationships with other third-sector organisations, managing waiting lists, and helping ensure our clubs remain active and well-attended.

You’ll get to know our swimmers as individuals ensuring that we can continue to create an experience where people feel supported and welcomed. No two weeks will look the same, but every week will be full of purpose.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Mentoring Coordinator will contribute to upReach's mission, by helping to manage the day to day running of our professional mentoring programmes (Professional Mentoring and Ask an Expert). Professional Mentoring sees students on the upReach programme matched with a professional for a six month period, while Ask an Expert allows students to directly contact professionals for one-off conversations.

GRADUATE SCHEME SUMMARY

The Mentoring Coordinator role is part of upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). The FCLP provides you with a unique opportunity to:

• Work directly on the upReach mentoring programmes, supporting young people and professionals to form successful mentoring relationships (4 days per week), while also;

• Gaining exposure to various aspects of charity management through 6-month rotations (1 day per week).

• Receiving training in Leadership throughout, and have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management after 18 months on the programme (in place of rotations). 

The FCLP is designed either for high-calibre graduates from any university, academic subject and background - or for those with experience in the corporate world who are looking for a career change and experience in the charity sector. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mentoring Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that upReach’s mentoring programmes (Professional Mentoring/Ask an Expert) operate smoothly and effectively, and will report to the Volunteering Programme Manager. You will work alongside the Programmes and Partnerships teams to ensure that matches are successful, and that both mentors and mentees have a positive experience of mentoring at upReach.

1) Supporting the smooth running of mentoring programmes:

• Deliver day to day operational tasks, including making mentor and mentee matches and responding to professional/student queries received via the Mentoring inbox and the mentoring platform;

• Act as the primary point of contact for mentors/professional volunteers and students using the upReach mentoring platforms, and take action to resolve any issues raised;

• Proactively monitor the success of all mentoring relationships/interactions using mentoring platform data, identifying any concerns and taking action to resolve them;

• Develop and deliver training sessions and resources with the support of the Volunteering Programme Manager to ensure that mentors, professionals and mentees have a high-quality experience.

2) Supporting Partnerships and Programmes teams:

• Work with the Programmes team to encourage Associates to register for and participate in the mentoring programmes;

• Work in collaboration with the Programmes and Partnerships teams to help ensure that all mentoring outputs are delivered effectively and on time, and support them with reporting back to partners;

• Act as the point of contact for employer partners whose primary activity is mentoring, and provide updates on impact measurement for these partners.

3) Rotations in different areas of charity management  

• As part of the FCLP programme, work on rotational projects designed to give you a greater exposure and understanding of the different areas of charity management;

• You will have a six month rotation in each of the following areas during your first 18 months on the programme: (1) Fundraising, Partnerships and Comms, (2) Operations and Strategy (3) Project and Product Management;

• Each week you will work on projects related to your current rotation (7.5 hours per week). These projects will be agreed with your Rotation Manager, in line with the learning objectives for each rotation.

4) Leadership training and development

• Participate in training every six weeks on different soft skills within Leadership through an external training provider during your initial 18 months on the programme. This training will take place through a mixture of online and face to face sessions. Training sessions will include:

  • Communication

  • Understanding different working styles

  • Conflict Management

  • Emotional Intelligence

Legasee is a charity committed to ensuring that future generations can learn about our history through the personal recollections of the men and women who witnessed it first-hand. We provide students, teachers and researchers with unique access to a high-definition video archive of interviews with veterans and civilians connected to British military conflict from 1939 to the present day.

We are now seeking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a major new oral history project focusing on the Aden Emergency, made possible thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. At its heart, the project will record the oral histories of 30–40 veterans and civilians whose lives were shaped by service in, or connection to, Aden during the final years of British rule.

The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for project planning, delivery, reporting and budget controland will work closely with project partners and funders to ensure that agreed outcomes are met. The role will provide leadership and direction to the project team and its volunteer network, ensuring that activity is well coordinated, realistic and delivered to a high standard.

The recorded testimonies will form a permanent digital archive and support public engagement, interpretation,and learning, ensuring that the experiences of those who served are not forgotten. A key part of the role will be the recruitment, coordination and ongoing support of a part-time Project Coordinator.The Project Coordinator will lead volunteer engagement, research support, transcription, and day-to-day project activities.

Education is central to the project. The Project Manager will oversee the development of educational activity delivered in partnership with schools and community groups, ensuring that young people are supported to explore the history and legacy of the Aden Emergency through original research, oral history and the thoughtful use of digital technologies. This work will result in the creation of new teaching resources, deeper community engagement and strengthened links with educational and cultural institutions nationwide.

The role is home-based, with flexible working hours agreed to ensure effective delivery of the project and coordination with partners.

If successful, your role will be:

• To work with the charity, its partners and the Project Steering Group to complete the project, in line with the requirements of the National Lottery Heritage Fund and within a rigorous evaluation framework.
• To work with the lead oral historian to create a video archive of the personal experiences and observations of up to 40 veterans of the Aden Emergency and ensure that all participants are supported throughout the entire process.
• To work with volunteers and project partners to develop and launch a new interpretation. 
• To work with a local school to deliver creative ways of learning about oral history.
• To be responsible for the overall recruitment, training and participation of all volunteers in the Project,ensuring that they benefit from their involvement by gaining new life skills and a greater understanding of the role of veterans of the Aden Emergency.

In this central role, that will require some travel as you attend meetings in Edinburgh and Uxbridge offices, you will ensure governance, lead strategic development, build partnerships, and support and facilitate fundraising and operational activity, ensuring our charitable work continues to improve lives and places.  

What You’ll Do

• Lead governance, statutory compliance, and Trustee support across both Trusts.
• Work with Trustees to develop charity strategies, policies, and risk management frameworks.

What You Need 

• Strong knowledge of charity regulation (OSCR and/or Charity Commission).
• Experience running or overseeing a charity and working with Trustees.
• Proven fundraising, grant assessment, and budget management experience.
• Excellent communication, report writing and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in marketing, events and digital content management.
• Understanding of social value, housing issues, and community-focused work.
• Desirable: public sector/housing experience and degree-level qualification.

This new role at Young Sounds UK will lead on securing grant income from and coordinating relationships with Trusts and Foundations. This will include identifying and researching funders, submitting compelling applications and completing timely and accurate reports.

You'll need to be comfortable with managing budgets, using CRMs, and demonstrating our impact through writing case studies that bring our work to life. You'll also need to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and be organised, flexible and with a great attention to detail.

We're looking for someone who has at least three years experience of fundraising in a charity, especially if they’ve focused on fundraising from Trusts and Foundations, and who is looking for an opportunity to take the next step in their career.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
 
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
 
This role is a fixed term role until 31st December 2026 with the opportunity to be made permanent subject to contract renewal.
