Help4Homeless is a youth-led charity based in Peterborough, tackling homelessness through community action, advocacy, and outreach. We're looking for a creative and passionate Social Media & Content Volunteer to help us grow our online presence and tell our story to the world.

This is a fully remote, flexible role - perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media and wants to use those skills for something that genuinely matters.

What you'll be doing:

• Creating and scheduling engaging content across our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok etc.)
• Helping develop a consistent brand voice and visual identity online
• Suggesting and implementing ideas to grow our following and engagement
• Keeping our audience updated on news, events, and impact stories
• Collaborating with our team via WhatsApp and email - all remote and relaxed

• Good eye for design (Canva experience is a bonus)

Key tasks

• Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated items for sale
• Creating visually appealing window and in-store displays
• Keeping the shop floor well stocked, clean and coordinated
• Processing sales and serving at the till
• Signing up gift aid donors

• Identifying special or valuable items within donated stock

About the position

The Video Editor will coordinate all video and podcast production activities, supporting the design and delivery of high-quality content across various platforms. This role provides flexibility and autonomy, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit diverse video content for social media, including documentaries, promos and highlight videos.

• Adhere to a clear and comprehensive system for content files and archives.

• Assist in post-production-related tasks as needed.

• Contribute to the creative process of production of videos, by sharing ideas and discussing themes and directions of projects 

• Prepare and edit footage to uphold brand style 

• Find scripts and other source materials for video and podcast projects.

The Branch Chair role is vital to the running of the branch as they act as a leader and a coordinator for the branch. Without these roles, we would not have as many branches as we do.

What you will be doing

• Planning, arranging, and chairing committee meetings and public meetings.
• Along with other committee members, representing the branch at external meetings e.g. with local services for autistic people.
• Delegating tasks to other committee members or volunteers
• Raising the profile of the NAS within your branch and local community.
• Ensuring your branch complies with NAS policies including risk assessment, data protection and safeguarding
• Monitoring branch income and expenditure in partnership with the treasurer and authorising branch payments
• Supporting fundraising in your branch
• Co-ordinating and promoting local campaigns and bringing others on board to help you
• Keeping your Senior Branch Engagement Officer informed about branch activities and events

Working closely with the Medical Director and senior clinical leaders, you will support the development of our long‑term clinical strategy, uphold high clinical standards, and ensure strong clinical governance across regulated and unregulated settings.

You will also chair the Clinical Advisory Group and serve as a member of the Risk and Assurance Committee, ensuring robust oversight of clinical quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This is a pivotal role at an exciting moment for St John Ambulance as we expand our impact and continue to strengthen our ability to deliver high‑quality care in communities across England.

What We’re Looking For

You will be a registered healthcare professional (GMC, NMC or HCPC) currently in clinical practice, with strong experience of clinical leadership at trust or corporate level

Is this role for me? 

• A current professional registration and active clinical practice.
• An understanding of the realities of delivering healthcare outside traditional settings and bring sound judgement, strategic insight, and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience at Board level or as a charity trustee.
• Experience of clinical governance and improving clinical quality.
• Ability to work effectively with volunteers in a complex organisation.

This is a voluntary role, and the term of office is three years in the first instance, with a further three-year term by mutual agreement.
