About the Volunteer Programme:

The HR Programme Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our flagship professional development initiative. Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career development professional to build hands-on experience in community fundraising and operational support. Based in the coastal town of Fort Dauphin, the Junior Fundraising and Operational Support Officer will play a key role in strengthening SEED’s community fundraising and supporting crowdfunding campaigns.

A core part of the role will be providing exceptional care to SEED’s community fundraisers, incoming staff and volunteers ensuring timely and professional communication. The postholder will lead volunteer and staff onboarding, supporting smooth and well-prepared arrivals in country, enhance communications and digital content, and assist with operational systems that underpin SEED’s work. 

The role will build strong relationships with schools, workplaces, running clubs, and community organisations in donor countries, supporting them to raise vital funds and awareness for SEED’s work. This will include identifying and researching new fundraising opportunities, stewarding community fundraising activities (such as bake sales and seasonal campaigns), and supporting fundraisers and volunteers to use third-party platforms effectively. 

Working within a collaborative national and international team, this is an office-based role with occasional field visits with opportunities to gain experience across fundraising, operations, and the realities of working in international development practice in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment. 

Title: Junior Fundraising and Operational Support Officer

Location: Fort Dauphin, Madagascar

Commitment: 12 months; Monday to Friday (35 hours a week)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead the onboarding of new staff, ensuring timely and well-prepared arrivals in country

2. Act as the primary point of contact for onboarding queries, both prior to and after arrival

3. Onboard and support international volunteers, including in their roles as individual fundraisers

4. Develop engaging fundraising materials and messaging across digital platforms

Required Skills & Experience/Person Specification 

• Hold an undergraduate degree or be able to demonstrate a passion for this area

“Solta o Jogo” is a vibrant cultural competition and festival celebrating Brazilian heritage through Capoeira, music, dance, acrobatics, and a Brazilian arts & crafts fair. Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, the event invites the community to participate in free performances, workshops, and exhibitions promoting cross-cultural understanding.

As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of Quilombo UK. This is an ideal role for someone looking to apply or gain hands-on experience in finance within the Third Sector, while contributing to a meaningful, community-led cultural project. 

Position Overview:
The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager in tasks such as financial data entry, expense processing, reconciliation, and reporting. This role requires someone with good numerical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Volunteer Fundraising Assistant (Challenge Events & Community Fundraising)

Location: Finchley, London (minimum 1 day per week in the office)

At Rays of Sunshine, we brighten the lives of seriously ill children across the UK by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospitals and within the community. Our work creates moments of joy, hope and lasting memories for children and their families during the most difficult times.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and organised Volunteer Fundraising Assistant to support our Challenge Events and Community Fundraising team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced fundraising environment, supporting key campaigns such as the London Marathon and community-led fundraising initiatives. You’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver exceptional supporter experiences and maximise income to fund life-changing wishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination of challenge events (e.g. London Marathon, runs, cycles)
• Assist with supporter stewardship, including emails, calls and event communications
• Help manage and update supporter data (Salesforce or similar CRM)
• Support the delivery of community fundraising activities and campaigns
• Assist with event preparation and logistics, including materials and packs
• Help monitor fundraising progress and identify opportunities to support participants
• Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team

What We’re Looking For

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• A proactive and positive attitude
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (experience with CRM systems is a bonus)
• An interest in fundraising, events, or the charity sector
• Ability to commit to at least 1 day per week in our Finchley office
