The Opportunity

Are you looking to use your professional skills to make a real social impact? We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Volunteer Executive Assistant (EA) to support our Chief Executive Officer.

This rewarding role offers the chance to gain high-level experience in the charity sector. You will act as a central pillar across our organization, directly contributing to our growth and community outreach.

What You Will Do: arrange of business admin duties - 

• CEO Support: Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and handle administrative workflows.
• Project Assistance: Coordinate tasks for community initiatives to support free service delivery.
• Human Resources: Assist with volunteer onboarding records and training schedules.
• Fundraising Support: Help track grant applications and coordinate local fundraising events.
• Communications & Social Media: Create content using Canva and manage our active social media profiles.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Skills:

• Tech Literacy: Mastery of the full Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in Canva to create engaging social media and marketing graphics.
• Communication: Warm, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Organisation: Excellent time management and the ability to manage diverse administrative tasks.

Desirable Criteria:

• Driving License: A clean, valid UK driving license is highly preferred.
• Background Checks: A current Enhanced DBS check is ideal, though we can arrange this for you.

Commitment & Flexibility

• We require a commitment on our core days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Online days: Tuesday and Friday (will consider job share across 3 days)
• We welcome applications from individuals looking for a job-share volunteer arrangement to cover these days.

• Submitting ideas for marketing programmes/campaigns designed to enhance and grow the company’s brand

• Conducting market research and analysing participants’ reports, questionnaires and surveys. 

• Using social media and website analytics to find out the effectiveness of ongoing campaigns and understand the way users interact with the site and social media posts.

About the position

Main Responsibilities

• Study design briefs and determine requirements.
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints.
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.
• Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic.
• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design.
• Test graphics across various media.
• Amend designs after feedback.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
• General tasks
• Contribute to staff meetings and other internal meetings with views and suggestions etc.

Essential

• Proven graphic designing experience.
• A portfolio of illustrations or another graphics / CV
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Suite)

MINDSET is a brand‑new men’s wellbeing and personal growth charity — and we’re looking for a highly organised, reliable volunteer to join us as our Admin Manager & Committee Secretary.

Our mission is to help men build resilience, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier coping skills through practical, reflective, skills‑based support. To launch successfully, we need strong, consistent admin support to keep everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for someone who can help us:

• Provide admin support across our start‑up charity

• Act as Secretary for our Steering Group and committees

• Schedule meetings and send reminders

• Prepare agendas and take minutes

• Keep documents organised and up to date

• Support volunteer onboarding and record‑keeping

• Help maintain simple systems and processes

• Ensure communication flows smoothly across the team

Your role will be central to keeping MINDSET structured, organised, and ready to grow.
