Lancaster Arts is a dynamic and ambitious combined arts organisation, embedded within Lancaster University and supported as an NPO by Arts Council England. Its programme spans contemporary performance, music, visual art, commissions, artist residencies, Creative Gatherings and public programmes across the Nuffield Theatre, the Great Hall, the Peter Scott Gallery, campus spaces and locations across the wider region. Lancaster Arts is now seeking a new Chair of the Lancaster Arts Board (LAB) to provide strong, collaborative and values-led leadership. LAB is an Advisory Board, which provides strategic guidance, advocacy and critical support, helping Lancaster Arts strengthen its visibility, connections and influence across Lancaster University, the cultural sector and civic life, while supporting the organisation to remain responsive, resilient and relevant in a complex environment.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• A strong track record of leadership in the cultural sector or a closely related field
• A strategic outlook and the ability to navigate the intersection of Higher Education, the arts and wider civic and cultural relationships
• Skilled facilitation and communication, with the confidence to convene diverse stakeholders and support inclusive, purposeful Board discussion

Our partner is a national civil society network in Central America that supports and strengthens non-profit, community-based and civil society organisations. The organisation is seeking remote finance support to strengthen its financial management systems and improve the way financial information supports decision-making, donor reporting and future planning. It currently uses QuickBooks and would value an experienced finance professional to review the current setup, identify areas for improvement, and provide practical recommendations that support stronger reporting, compliance and audit readiness. Alongside this, the organisation would like support to think through financial sustainability.

Key areas of support

• Review the current QuickBooks setup, including the chart of accounts, class or project tracking, donor reporting setup and financial workflows.
• Identify gaps, risks or inefficiencies in the current financial management and reporting processes.
• Provide practical recommendations to strengthen accounting practices, compliance, audit readiness and management reporting.
• Review the organisation’s current funding model and sources of income.
• Support the organisation to understand financial risks and consider possible income diversification opportunities.
• Help test sustainability ideas led by the organisation, adding financial assumptions, costs, risks and practical next steps.
• Support improved use of financial information for planning, Board discussion and decision-making.

Volunteer Profile

This assignment would suit a finance professional with:

• Experience in non-profit accounting systems, QuickBooks, donor reporting, financial controls and management reporting.
• Experience supporting small civil society organisations, membership networks, non-profit governance, or financial sustainability discussions would be particularly helpful.

The ideal volunteer will be practical and collaborative, able to provide clear recommendations while recognising that fundraising strategy and resource mobilisation ideas need to be shaped by the organisation’s own context, relationships and priorities.

Time Commitment
The assignment can be delivered entirely remotely. The anticipated commitment is approximately 30 hours in total, ideally over a period of 2–3 months. A commitment of around 2–3 hours per week would be helpful, allowing time for the QuickBooks review, discussions with leadership and Board members, and financial sustainability support in a way that is manageable for both the organisation and the volunteer.

We work with people who need support with their mental health across London and the South East. Our support ranges from registered accommodation services for people with severe mental health conditions to drop-in community and crisis services.

In the last year, 9,499 adults accessed Hestia’s mental health support.

We help people to feel safe, develop hope for a better future, and achieve their personal goals. These goals may include rebuilding relationships with family members and friends or connecting more with their local community.

• Inspire and motivate staff and people in the services to get involved in maintaining and growing the garden
• To provide tips on how to maintain and grow the garden - sowing seeds, planting bulbs, taking cuttings
• Provide basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking
• Lead in planting and nurturing new trees, flowers, and various plants
• Provide best practice on how to use the correct gardening tools
• Inspire people in our services and staff to maintain a clean garden
• Advise staff on the costs of plants and garden necessities

A charity  based in  Croydon, Surrey, London, UK is looking for volunteer Charity Volunteer Assistants; to volunteer 30 unpaid hours per week. The Charity serves a multi ethnic community especially people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds.

• To assist in the delivery of events (ours and those we are invited to), projects and our yearly summer community event.

Sport for Social Impact

We believe that sport can be a powerful conduit for social change - from the grassroots.In sport we are challenging gender stereotypes. With a focus on locally led interventions in protected settings, our initiatives integrate physical activity and nutrition, that focuses on facilitating grassroots initiatives in driving forward attitudes to gender in communities, by sport empowerment, and fostering literacy outcomes for girls at risk, or affected by GBV, trauma, FGM, and child marriage. We work to empower girls in some of the world's hardest to reach settings.

Role Purpose:

The Fundraising Trustee will advise the board and head of programmes in the provision of strategic oversight of our income generation, ensuring Girls in Sport has the resources needed to sustain its international programmes. You will oversee the development of a diverse funding mix, with a specific focus on high-value partnerships and institutional grants.

Wyre Forest and South Worcestershire Nightstop and Mediation works with young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to build an independent and positive future.

Our services include:

• Safe, emergency accommodation through our Nightstop community hosting scheme.

About Nightstop

Nightstop provides emergency accommodation in the homes of trained and approved volunteer hosts. Rather than spending the night on the streets or in unsafe situations, young people are offered a temporary, safe place to stay while our team works to find appropriate longer-term accommodation and support.

As a Volunteer Nightstop Host, you'll never be working alone. Our experienced team provides ongoing guidance and support throughout every placement.

What You'll Do

As a Nightstop Host, you'll:

• Provide a clean, safe and private bedroom for a young person needing emergency overnight accommodation.
• Offer an evening meal, breakfast and a packed lunch.
• Give access to bathroom facilities and laundry if needed.
• Stay in regular contact with the Nightstop team before, during and after placements.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while providing a welcoming environment.

About Braver Together 

Braver Together is an online therapeutic programme providing structured support for parents, partners, siblings and chosen family of those at risk of suicide.

Grounded in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), the programme equips participants with practical tools, coping strategies, and deeper understanding to navigate the emotional impact of supporting someone in crisis. [

It offers: 

• A structured group programme ( 14 weeks)

To support the delivery of the Braver Together programme by helping to create a safe, welcoming, and consistent therapeutic environment for participants, while contributing to engagement, accessibility, and community-building. 

Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring that those supporting loved ones feel heard, held, and connected, alongside professional therapeutic support.

This role will focus on recruiting volunteers, building community connections, and helping coordinate and manage community service events and outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard volunteers across the UK
• Help build and grow a UK-based volunteer hub and community network
• Coordinate volunteer communications, scheduling, and engagement
• Assist with planning, organizing, and managing community service events and outreach activities
• Help identify partnership opportunities with local organizations, schools, charities, and community groups
• Promote volunteer opportunities through social media, online platforms, and community outreach
• Support volunteer retention and help create a positive volunteer experience

Are you looking to use your professional skills to make a real social impact? We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Volunteer Executive Assistant (EA) to support our Chief Executive Officer.

This rewarding role offers the chance to gain high-level experience in the charity sector. You will act as a central pillar across our organization, directly contributing to our growth and community outreach.

What You Will Do: arrange of business admin duties - 

• CEO Support: Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and handle administrative workflows.
• Project Assistance: Coordinate tasks for community initiatives to support free service delivery.
• Human Resources: Assist with volunteer onboarding records and training schedules.
• Fundraising Support: Help track grant applications and coordinate local fundraising events.
• Communications & Social Media: Create content using Canva and manage our active social media profiles.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Skills:

• Tech Literacy: Mastery of the full Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in Canva to create engaging social media and marketing graphics.
• Communication: Warm, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Organisation: Excellent time management and the ability to manage diverse administrative tasks.

Desirable Criteria:

• Driving License: A clean, valid UK driving license is highly preferred.
• Background Checks: A current Enhanced DBS check is ideal, though we can arrange this for you.

Commitment & Flexibility

• We require a commitment on our core days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Online days: Tuesday and Friday (will consider job share across 3 days)
