The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, organised, and visionary Head of Programmes & Events to design and lead the foundation’s cultural and educational activities. This is a senior volunteer role ideal for someone who enjoys shaping meaningful public experiences, curating cultural content, and bringing ideas to life through events and programmes.

You will develop our programme strategy, design a diverse calendar of events and initiatives, and oversee their delivery with the support of volunteers and partner organisations. As we grow, you will build and lead a dedicated programmes and events team.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the cultural output of a new foundation from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the foundation’s global programmes and events strategy.

• Design a varied programme of cultural, educational, and community activities aligned with our mission.

• Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of events, workshops, exhibitions, talks, and public initiatives.

• Collaborate with artists, educators, cultural partners, and internal teams to create high‑quality programming.

• Establish processes, templates, and best‑practice frameworks for programme delivery.

• Manage programme timelines, budgets (where applicable), and volunteer involvement.

• Evaluate programme impact and continuously refine offerings.

• Build and lead a programmes and events team as the foundation grows.

• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure programmes support organisational goals.

• Ensure all activities reflect the aesthetic and cultural values of the Principality of Lys.

TVS is a small charity working with rural schools in South Africa to empower vulnerable young people through education. We are recruiting a team of volunteers and are searching for a volunteer events organiser to help plan and deliver fundraising events that will make a real difference for our beneficiaries.

Volunteer Role: Event Volunteer

Location: Across Wales

Frequency: A few hours across the year

Reporting to: Adoption Community Manager

Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS 

Events organised by Adoption UK Cymru are facilitated face to face or virtual meetings/events run by community group coordinators (who are volunteers) or the Adoption Community Manager. The events are run to offer local networking, support, information, advice, guidance and a sense of community for adoption UK members.

Events are held at different points during the year, and the frequency is dependent on the availability of the Adoption Community Manager or our Community Group Volunteers.

What you will be doing 

There could be a range of tasks depending on the event and your preferences. You could be setting up equipment and displays or helping to check in families on arrival at an event or supporting activities with children or adults. You will be a welcoming face and point of contact for families during an event.

Cambridgeshire ACRE is looking for a new Trustee & Treasurer to join our Board and help shape the future of rural communities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

For more than 100 years, Cambridgeshire ACRE has supported rural communities through projects focused on affordable housing, community wellbeing, village halls, environmental action and rural leadership. We work alongside local people and organisations to help communities thrive.

We are seeking someone who can support the Board with strategic financial oversight and help ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

This is not an operational bookkeeping role and we are not necessarily looking for someone with a formal accountancy qualification. We would particularly welcome applications from people who are confident interpreting financial information and contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable:

• Financial management or strategic financial oversight
• Business leadership
• Charity governance
• Parish or town councils

The Treasurer is a full member of the Board of Trustees and chairs the Finance Committee.

Trustees are expected to attend:

• Five Board meetings per year

Meetings are held online and at accessible venues across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. All reasonable expenses are reimbursed.

As an Events Coordinator in the South West Social Work team, you will plan and coordinate a range of events throughout the year; working directly with the families we support and partner organisations. we hope to run events across the region including end‑of‑treatment celebration days, sibling days, festive events and bereavement support events

• Attendance of events as a welcoming presence; helping people feel comfortable, supported, and gently connected to one another. 

• Working alongside social workers as a valued member of the team and reporting back to your volunteer manager.
