Project Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and execution of Peniang, our AI-driven waste management and circular economy platform. You will bridge the gap between technical teams, field operations, and business strategy to ensure we build a product that is impactful, scalable, and user-centered.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the product roadmap and priorities
• Translate business and field needs into clear product requirements
• Coordinate between developers, AI engineers, and stakeholders
• Lead agile sprints, track progress, and ensure timely delivery
• Oversee user experience (UX) for households, collectors, and partners
• Gather feedback from users and pilot communities to improve the product
• Align product development with business goals and impact metrics

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in product management or startup environments
• Strong understanding of digital platforms (mobile/web)
• Ability to work with technical teams (developers, AI engineers)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Interest in climate tech, circular economy, or social impact
• Experience with tools like Trello, Jira, Notion, or similar

Impact

You will play a key role in launching a platform that reduces plastic waste, creates economic opportunities, and builds sustainable urban systems across Africa.

Every day, LGBTQ+ young people across the UK wonder whether things will ever get better. Whether they are navigating school, family, identity, or simply trying to find their place in the world, too many of them are doing it without the visibility, support, or role models they deserve. We exist to change that - to tell them clearly and consistently that it gets better, and that their lives have value exactly as they are.

It Gets Better UK is part of the global It Gets Better movement, present in over 20 countries. Since launching here in 2018, we have reached over 2.5 million people across all four nations through digital content, storytelling, and a growing volunteer community. We show up at Prides, we tell real stories, and we keep finding new ways to reach the young people who need to hear from us - through projects like our volunteer-led podcast and Voices of Wales, for example.

We are at a genuinely exciting point in our development. With a largely volunteer-led model that is embedded and working, and new trustees joining us to help shape our direction, we are focused on building a strategy that allows us to grow sustainably and serve LGBTQ+ young people more effectively across the UK. The people joining our board now will not just oversee that work - they will help design it.

We are looking for three new trustees, each bringing specific expertise:

• Fundraising and income generation - We are looking to diversify and strengthen our income base, with particular focus on grants, trusts and foundations and community fundraising. If you have professional fundraising experience and know how to build financial resilience in a values-led organisation, we want to hear from you.
• Marketing and communications - Our work is fundamentally about reaching people, and social media is central to how we do that. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of digital platforms, content strategy, and how to build and engage audiences - particularly young people.
• Finance - Sound financial governance is essential as we plan for the future. We are looking for someone with a professional finance background who can support the board in its financial oversight responsibilities and help us build long-term resilience.

Because we are a largely volunteer-led charity, our trustees tend to be more operationally involved than you might find at a larger organisation. This is a hands-on role, and one that offers a genuine opportunity to contribute your expertise to something that matters.

About Us

Adanna Women’s Support Group is a small but impactful non-profit support group dedicated to supporting and empowering women in our community who have experienced some of life’s challenges and lost their confidence and have no local network. Through our programmes, advocacy, and partnerships, we aim to create opportunities, provide support, build confidence and amplify the voices of women facing social and economic challenges.

We are looking for a creative and passionate Marketing & PR Officer to help raise awareness of our work, strengthen our public profile, and engage supporters, partners, and donors.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys storytelling, digital marketing, and community engagement. As a key member of a small team, you will lead our marketing and PR activity, helping us share our impact, promote our programmes, and grow our supporter base.

You will create engaging content, manage social media platforms, coordinate media outreach, and support the promotion of events and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver marketing campaigns to promote the charity’s services, events, and impact.
• Manage and grow the charity’s social media presence through engaging and regular content.
• Write press releases, stories, and communications that highlight the charity’s work.
• Build relationships with media outlets, partners, and community organisations.
• Support the promotion of fundraising campaigns and community events.
• Update website content and assist with digital marketing initiatives.
• Ensure consistent branding across all communications and materials.
• Create engaging flyers and publicity materials for our services and events that is consistent with our branding and ensuring our funders logos are prominently displayed

About You

We’re looking for someone who is creative, organised, and passionate about making a difference.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in marketing, communications, or PR.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital content.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• A genuine interest in supporting women and promoting equality.

Experience in the non-profit/charity sector is helpful but not essential.

• Community Connectors - Collaborating with the Community Engagement Manager to establish a local network, promote SSAFA's services, and respond to community opportunities such as gardening projects.
• Fundraising Heroes - Whether it’s rallying local businesses, organising events, or getting creative with unique fundraising ideas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping SSAFA’s support going strong.
• Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.
