We’re looking for three Support Group Volunteer over the age of 18 years old, based in Scotland.

You’ll be volunteering fortnightly Thursday between 10:30am and 11:30am plus additional time for volunteer team meetings and training.

As a support group volunteer, you will help with the running of the group. The role is designed to suit the needs of the group, and the skills of people offering support. If you enjoy getting to know your community, working with others and making a real difference then this is the role for you.

Job Description

Kent Sexual Assault & Abuse Service is dedicated to providing safe spaces where survivors of all forms of sexual violence across Kent and Medway, can access the high-quality, trauma-informed, specialist practical and therapeutic support that they need to recover from the impact of sexual violence and rebuild their lives. Having won and mobilised the Police & Crime Commissioner Kent Wide Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)and Trauma Therapy contracts in April 2026, we are keen to extend our trustee board to ensure high quality, robust governance for our charity and support for the KSAAS team during this time of expansion.  We are seeking a Chair of Trustees to take over the leadership of the board when our current chair steps down in October.

KSAAS Chair of Trustees Responsibilities:

Leading the trustee board in providing robust, transparent and courageous governance for the charity, including ensuring the charity is fulfilling its mission, aims and values, setting the culture, strategic direction and strategic plan for the charity, approving the annual operations (business) plan, budget and safeguarding & risk management plans & monitoring these to ensure delivery, ensuring compliance to the ethical, legal, financial and safeguarding responsibilities of charities and trustees and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and ensuring the charity holds itself accountable to its stakeholders and partners

Providing effective oversight of the Trustee Board through appropriate recruitment, screening, induction, training and support of trustees, ensuring trustee awareness and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, ensure that the trustee board annually reviews its structure, effectiveness, delegations and key policies, and implements agreed changes as necessary.

Ensuring effective strategic and operational leadership of the charity by working with the Board to approve a scheme of delegation and appraisal of the CEO, supporting, positively challenging and holding the CEO to account through line management processes, liaising with the CEO to arrange meetings and chairing Board meetings to ensure these are well run and focussed on delivering the charity's work, provision of appropriate training, support and wellbeing opportunities for staff & volunteers.

Act as a representative and spokesperson for the charity in collaboration with the management team and other trustees.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential: Leadership & management experience and experience of working in a charity or having a trustee or a similar role is essential.  Experience of one or more of the following is also essential: charity or business management, charity law or criminal law, ISVA work, counselling or therapy, data protection and management, equity and inclusion, financial management, fundraising or commissioning, governance, human resources, information technology, health and safety, marketing and communications, monitoring and evaluation, research and evaluation, strategic planning, sexual violence or VAWG work.

Commitment

The time commitment of a KSAAS trustee is estimated at 12 hours per month, comprising:

• Supervision and support for the Chief Executive Officer
• Six 2 hour board meetings per year (normally online in the evening, but some in person in Canterbury with prior arrangement)
• Annual general meeting (AGM) preparation & Attendance
• Time to read and reflect on reports and papers for meetings
• Attending an annual trustee away day and occasional training sessions
• Attending subcommittees when required

About ABT and Refutrees - Aid Box Trading (ABT), the trading subsidiary of Aid Box Community (ABC), is seeking a voluntary Co-Director to join the existing Director to provide strategic leadership, financial oversight and robust governance for its small trading operation — Refutrees seasonal project. This is a seasonal project running between November and December, so this role is most active between these dates with some work to tie up accounts in January/February.  

Refutrees is Aid Box Community’s much‑loved seasonal fundraiser, selling around 1500 locally grown Christmas trees each year and generating over £30,000 profit to support refugees and people seeking asylum in Bristol. Powered by hundreds of volunteers and thousands of customers, it operates as a vibrant community enterprise each festive season, with all profits funding essential support, crisis assistance, and wellbeing activities for our service users.  

This role is ideal for someone with senior management or governance experience who wants to make a meaningful contribution to a charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers.

Social Media/Marketing Manager

Challenge Adventure Group (“CAG” for short and the operating name of CAG Trust) is a voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge and beyond aimed at boys aged 10 and above.

As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.

Summary

CAG was formed in 2009 and became a charity, CAG Trust, in 2019. We are looking for someone to help us publicise CAG and what we do to build a consistent positive message about young people and Challenge Adventure Group and, ultimately, build a demand to be a part of CAG.

These messages and stories will be delivered through a variety of media.  Additionally, we want to engage our current and potential audiences by creating and developing a compelling social media strategy and content.  We want to get the CAG name and story out into the community to build long lasting and meaningful relationships with local organisations, community groups and other relevant parties and to establish CAG as a strong and vibrant participant of local life.

Description

We are looking for an experienced offline and online/social media marketer to work with us to maximise our presence in order to attract new members and volunteers and to advertise CAG to its full potential.

We would like you to:

• Develop and on and offline marketing strategy.
• Prepare and deliver on and offline marketing material and stories.
• Perform a social media audit: Assess the current state of our social media pages and make recommendations on how we might improve our presence and engagement and where we might focus our efforts.
• Help us develop and/or execute a social media campaign around, in the first instance, recruiting new members.
• Provide guidance/strategy on how we can manage our social media on an ongoing basis e.g. using a centralised tool, creating a content calendar, identifying easy and free graphic tools and images.
• Produce fresh and engaging content for our social media channels.
• Prepare graphics for sharing across channels.
• Engage with our followers and encourage interaction.
• Manage and maintain social media channels on a regular basis.
• Work with our Group Leader who will provide our existing brand/style guidelines and share the CAG ethos.

We are looking for a volunteer who has experience of:

• Writing and editing marketing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok / across all platforms.
• Building strategies to increase social media following and build fundraising or awareness campaigns.
• Developing a coherent brand voice for social media, from content creation to community interactions.
• Using and setting up tools such as Hootsuite, Social Sprout, Canva, etc.
• Creating content calendars to help plan social media activity.
• Marketing specific events such as New Member Evenings and Duke of Edinburgh Introductory Presentations.

Ideally you should have/be:

• A flexible team player.
• A basic understanding of what CAG stands for and its place in the local community.
• A passion for the work of CAG and the importance of it to its members and volunteers.
• Experience of digital: social media marketing.
• Ability to engage and build a rapport with a wide range of people and organisations including local schools.
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
• A car driver or have ability to travel to attend events and meetings.
• The post holder must be able to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Check, either a current or new application that can be made through CAG.

Your input is key to the running of CAG as well as securing its future.  You will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders and general public. With your help we will be able to continue to grow our membership through building campaigns to recruit new members who will be able to take advantage of all the challenging adventures we offer and help make the lives of these young people richer and more positive. You will build on the social media campaign we already have in place to help us raise awareness in the local community of what we do and why we do it and ensure that we become a key player in our community as a whole.

This role is partly remote but ideally the candidate should be available for face to face Committee meetings and attending CAG events and other meetings.

When will you be working?

• Flexible so during office hours if necessary for certain events but evenings if preferred.
• You would need to be available to attend Committee meetings which normally take place in the evening.
• Occasional weekends to attend recruitment/marketing events.

Our current Treasurer is stepping down from the role, and we are therefore looking to replace her. We need a qualified accountant with the time and skills to provide strategic financial oversight and governance, as well as supporting our Head of Finance and Operations’ work to ensure that the charity’s finances are on a stable footing and that appropriate policies, processes and controls are in place.

Specific duties of the Rosa Treasurer

The Treasurer chairs the quarterly Finance, Audit and Risk Committee meeting and provides strategic oversight of several tasks in close collaboration with Rosa’s Head of Finance and Operations (who is responsible for the actual execution of these tasks):

• Overseeing the presentation of budgets, internal management accounts, cash flow forecasts and annual financial statements to the Board of Trustees. Along with the Chair, you will sign the financial statements on behalf of all the Trustees.
• Ensuring that proper accounting records are kept, and that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place.
• Ensuring that financial statements are prepared which comply with the relevant accounting and statutory requirements.
• Ensuring that robust and comprehensive financial policies are in place and being implemented, covering financial reserves, investments, cost management etc.
• Monitoring and advising on the financial viability of the charity, particularly in relation to the application of the ‘going concern’ basis for the preparation of our accounts.
• Advising on the financial implications of the charity’s strategic plan.
• Leading on the appointment of external auditors and liaising with them during the annual audit. Along with the Chair of the Board, you will sign the audit representation letter.
• Overseeing the management of strategic risks at Rosa through the development and implementation of systems for appraising, mitigating and reporting risk and by ensuring the consideration of risk in strategic decision making.
• Keeping the Board informed about its financial duties and responsibilities.

Chair of Trustees - The Family Place Foundation

We are recruiting a new Chair of Trustees to lead our Board and support the next stage of our charity’s development.

Location: Remote, with occasional in‑person trustee meetings (typically once or twice a year) held in the Clyro/Herefordshire area.

Time commitment: Approximately 1–2 days per month. This includes six trustee meetings a year, occasional ad‑hoc discussions and light‑touch support between meetings (for example reviewing policies or responding to emails).

Established in 2020, we are a small, well-established charity with a strong grounding and a clear purpose. We raise funds to provide support to adopted, fostered and kinship care children and their families to improve emotional wellbeing, strengthen relationships, and reduce the impact of early trauma. In collaboration with leading UK practitioners, we support the delivery of a range of services providing essential therapeutic care and family support that isn’t covered by statutory funding. We are now seeking a Chair of Trustees to help guide the charity through its next stage of development, including shaping our emerging Family Foundations project, a significant new early‑years initiative for the charity, alongside our ongoing portfolio of funded projects delivered through our specialist partner. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated Board and a small operational support team who care deeply about the families we serve and the long‑term sustainability of the organisation.

The charity is currently led by a Board of four trustees, supported by two part‑time operational staff and a small group of volunteers.

As Chair, you will provide leadership to the Board, ensure effective governance, and help the charity continue enabling the delivery of high‑quality, trauma‑informed support. You will work closely with the trustees and operational colleagues to help shape strategy, strengthen partnerships, and ensure the charity remains compliant, resilient, and focused on its mission. You will also play a key role in strengthening the charity’s governance and fundraising, which in turn enables the therapeutic delivery carried out by our specialist partner. 

A supportive handover will be provided to ensure a smooth and confident transition into the role.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Warmth, clarity and good judgement, with a balanced, proportionate approach to governance.

• A genuine commitment to improving the lives of adopted, fostered and kinship care children and an understanding of the challenges faced by families affected by early trauma.

• Confidence in chairing discussions, helping the Board reach clear, well‑considered decisions.

• An understanding of good governance, including risk, safeguarding and compliance (or a willingness to learn).

• The ability to work collaboratively with trustees and our small operational support team, offering encouragement and constructive challenge while supporting the charity’s governance and fundraising role, which enables the specialist delivery work carried out by our partner.

• Strategic thinking, with the ability to help shape the charity’s direction and ensure long‑term sustainability.

• Reliability, integrity and a calm, steady approach, keeping the charity’s purpose at the centre of decision‑making.

• Meets the eligibility requirements to serve as a charity trustee, as set out by the Charity Commission.

Helpful but not essential:

• Experience of chairing a board or committee

• Experience in charity governance, education, social care, therapeutic work, or community leadership would be helpful, but we are open to a wide range of backgrounds.

• Lived or professional experience related to adoption, fostering, trauma or family support.

Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Volunteers to join our new drop in group in Sherborne, Dorset that take place on 10 am to 12 pm pm on the last Wednesday of the month starting 24th Sept. This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact in the community while gaining valuable experience.

The Say Aphasia charity provides support groups across the UK for people with aphasia; a language and communication disability caused by a brain injury like a stroke. Aphasia affects over 350,000 people in the UK but is little understood or known about by the public. It is the only aphasia charity set up by people with aphasia for people with aphasia; helping them to adapt to their new way of life and regain their independence and confidence.

Aphasia occurs due to injury to the brain such as a stroke. It affects access to language, resulting in difficulties following conversations, speaking, reading and writing.

Volunteers will support the running of the group with communicating, and will have the opportunity to utilise their communication skills and IT knowledge to take a register of attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to individuals, particularly those living with asphasia.
• Assist in organising activities that promote social interaction and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with participants, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Collaborate with other volunteers to enhance the group.

Qualifications

• An understanding or knowledge in aphasia is desirable but not essential (training will be given)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in IT, including familiarity with common software applications.
• A compassionate and patient attitude towards individuals in need of support.

SolidariTee is an international charity run and led entirely by volunteers who are students and young people. We're working to make lasting change in the way refugees and other people forced to flee persecution and violence are treated, through a combination of awareness-raising, advocacy, and fundraising to support grassroots NGOs providing vital refugee legal aid and mental health support.
