1. Grant Writers

You’ll craft compelling, human‑centred funding applications to UK trusts, foundations and community funders. Perfect for someone who loves writing, storytelling and making a clear case for impact.

You’ll inspire local giving, build relationships with supporters, and help create grassroots fundraising activities that bring people together. Ideal for bubbly, people‑loving volunteers who enjoy being out in the community.

You’ll design and run joyful fundraising events — from small community gatherings to creative pop‑ups that spread SUNSHINE across London. Perfect for organisers, planners and creative thinkers.

4. Crowdfunding Volunteers

You’ll help build online campaigns, create engaging content, and inspire people to donate through digital storytelling. Great for social media lovers, creatives and digital‑savvy volunteers.

5. Fundraising Programme Assistants

You’ll support admin, coordination, communication and behind‑the‑scenes tasks that keep our fundraising programme running smoothly. Perfect for organised, detail‑focused volunteers who love helping teams shine.

Time Commitment & Availability

These roles are operational volunteer roles, not trustee positions.

We keep things flexible and human.

• A few hours per week, fully flexible.

• Must be available at least 2 evenings per month.

• Must be available at least one weekend daytime per quarter (for fundraising events, community activities, donor engagement and campaign support).

We’ll work around your life, your schedule and your energy — but we do need a reliable, committed team who can help us raise the funds that make SUNSHINE possible.

The Role

As a Flyer Distributor you will play a crucial role in helping to raise awareness about our services and events within the Enfield community. You will be responsible for disseminating promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and event announcements to various locations within the Enfield area.

• Distribute promotional materials provided by Age UK Enfield to designated locations across the Enfield area. This may include community centers, libraries, local businesses, healthcare facilities, and other relevant locations.
• Engage with members of the public in a friendly and courteous manner while distributing flyers. Answer any questions they may have about Age UK Enfield's services and provide basic information about upcoming events or initiatives.
• Keep accurate records of the locations visited and the quantity of promotional materials distributed. Report back to the supervisor on to provide updates on distribution progress.
• Act as an ambassador for Age UK Enfield by promoting the organisation's mission, values, and services to the community. Help to increase brand recognition and visibility within the local area.

General Key Skills:

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Comfortable with walking and standing for long periods in various weather conditions.
• Maintaining professionalism and addressing public inquiries effectively.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, with a strong sense of responsibility.

Cystar

We empower people with PCOS through a personalized digital platform for education, care, and community.

We’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Digital Ad Campaign Manager to help grow the Cystar app through strategic digital advertising.

As an early-stage FemTech startup, we’re looking for someone with at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience managing digital advertising campaigns who can help us reach more people living with PMOS (Previously PCOS). You’ll work closely with the Founder to plan, launch, optimise, and measure advertising campaigns across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok, and other digital platforms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating high-performing campaigns, analysing results, and helping a mission-driven startup scale its impact.

🚀 What You’ll Do

📢 Digital Advertising

• Plan, create, and manage advertising campaigns to promote the Cystar app across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and other digital platforms
• Develop app install, awareness, lead generation, and conversion campaigns
• Research and define audience targeting strategies to maximise campaign performance
• Monitor campaign budgets and recommend how advertising spend should be allocated across platforms

🎯 Campaign Optimisation

• Monitor and optimise campaigns to improve performance and reduce acquisition costs
• Conduct A/B testing on creatives, audiences, messaging, and landing pages
• Identify opportunities to improve campaign efficiency and maximise return on investment
• Recommend new advertising strategies based on campaign insights and industry trends

🎨 Creative Collaboration

• Work closely with the Social Media Content Creator and Social Media Graphic Designer to develop engaging advertising creatives
• Help write compelling ad copy and calls to action
• Ensure advertising assets align with campaign objectives and the Cystar brand

📊 Analytics & Reporting

• Track and report on key campaign metrics, including:
  • App downloads
  • Click-through rate (CTR)
  • Cost per click (CPC)
  • Cost per install (CPI)
  • Cost per acquisition (CPA)
  • Conversion rate
  • Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), where applicable
• Produce regular reports with recommendations to improve future campaigns
• Work with the Product Analytics & Growth Assistant to understand the quality and retention of acquired users

🤝 Collaboration

• Work closely with the Founder to plan and execute advertising campaigns aligned with Cystar’s growth goals
• Collaborate with the Growth Funnel & Automation Assistant to optimise the customer journey after users click an advert
• Support app launches, awareness campaigns, and product initiatives through digital advertising

🌿 We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, digital advertising, app marketing, or performance marketing
• Has hands-on experience creating and managing advertising campaigns across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and/or TikTok Ads
• Understands audience targeting, campaign optimisation, and A/B testing
• Is confident analysing campaign performance and making data-driven recommendations
• Has experience tracking metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, CPI, conversion rates, and ROAS

The Guild of Students plays a key and pivotal role in the student experience at Birmingham, offering a range of services and activities which not only help to attract students to the University, but which also contribute to a vibrant student experience, as well as supporting the wider sense of community and belonging.

The breadth of the Guild’s service and activity portfolio is comparable with other large students’ unions in the Russell Group and as an organisation the Guild is well regarded within the sector. As leaders in the field, the Guild has paved the way in key areas such as representation, student groups and societies, social opportunities, events and activities.

About the Chair opportunity

This is a brilliant opportunity to join an award-winning, multifaceted, and complex charity as our next Chair of Trustees. The Trustee Board is collectively responsible for overseeing the affairs of the Guild and ensuring that the Guild works for and with its membership in all that it does.  The Chair’s role is to steward this at the highest level. They act as a role model for the Board, maintaining the highest standards of good governance, with a focus on strategy, risk, and long-term sustainability.

They must ensure a culture of inclusion, trust, and openness where all Trustees contribute their views and expertise, and champion student democracy. The Chair will work closely with the President and Chief Executive Officer, supporting them to achieve the aims and objectives of the Guild’s strategy and vision, and ensure the Guild meets the needs of its diverse student membership.

We are in the final year of the Guild’s 2022-27 strategy (aligned to the University’s priorities under its strategic framework, ‘Birmingham 2030’), making this a formative time as we look beyond 2027, in a challenging time for the Higher Education sector. We are seeking skilled leadership to continue to support us to deliver excellence and are, therefore, looking for an experienced non-executive, with demonstrable experience of supporting organisations at Board level.
