Job description

Join the Carroll Centre as a Trustee

The Carroll Centre is looking for new Trustees to join our friendly and committed Board and help shape the future of our much-loved community centre in Stanmore.

The Centre is based in one of Winchester’s most disadvantaged communities, providing a range of services and activities that make a real difference to local children, families and residents. We’re an ambitious charity with a clear mission: to strengthen our community and improve people’s lives.

The Centre has an annual turnover of around £300,000, employs a small staff team and relies on a combination of earned income, grants and donations to deliver its services.

We’re particularly keen to hear from people with experience in fundraising, social media and communications, or HR, although we would also welcome anyone who feels they have skills, experience or enthusiasm that could benefit the Centre. You don’t need previous charity trustee experience — what matters most is a commitment to our community and a willingness to contribute your time, ideas and expertise.

Everything we do is underpinned by our values of being open, inclusive, non-judgemental and supportive.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in the future of a charity at the heart of its community, helping to reduce inequality and improve opportunities for local people.
