About Us
Becky’s Child Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities in Uganda. We work to create lasting positive change through community programmes, education, and advocacy.
As we continue to grow our online presence, we are looking for a skilled volunteer to help more people discover our work and the people we support.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced volunteer to lead the promotion of our website and improve its visibility in search engines. You will play a key role in helping more supporters, partners, and families find us online.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings for priority keywords
- Optimise website content, meta data, headings, and internal linking
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis
- Advise on and support website content improvements for better search performance
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Recommend and assist with ethical website promotion activities (content, social sharing, partnerships, etc.)
- Provide regular progress updates and clear recommendations to the team
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in SEO and website promotion
- Proven track record of improving organic search rankings and website visibility
- Strong knowledge of current SEO best practices, Google algorithms, and ranking factors
- Experience with SEO tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar)
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with non-technical team members
- Genuine interest in the charity sector and supporting children’s causes
Time CommitmentFlexible –
we are looking for a committed volunteer who can contribute meaningfully on an ongoing basis (suggested 4–8 hours per week, but open to discussion).
