Volunteer Content Creator

The Lyonic Scots Society is a heritage and cultural organisation dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and sharing the story of the Lyonic Scots — a community forged in resilience, tradition, and Scottish pride. As we expand globally, we’re building a powerful digital presence to bring our history, culture, and values to audiences around the world.
The Role
We’re seeking a creative and passionate Content Creator to help us tell our story. You’ll write engaging posts, articles, and short stories for our social media channels, newsletters, and website — helping shape the voice of a growing international community.
What You’ll Do

Write social media posts, updates, and heritage‑themed content

Create articles, stories, and features for newsletters and our website

Help develop campaign messaging for events and global outreach

Work with our communications team to maintain a consistent tone and brand

Contribute ideas for new content formats and storytelling approaches
What We’re Looking For

Strong writing skills and a flair for storytelling

Ability to write clearly, creatively, and with emotional resonance

Interest in Scottish heritage, culture, or community development

Comfortable working independently and meeting content briefs

Experience with social media or digital content (preferred but not essential)
