The Lyonic Scots Society is the charitable arm of the Lyonic Scots — a heritage community dedicated to preserving, teaching, and celebrating our culture, history, traditions, and identity. As we prepare for our global launch, we are building a strong digital presence to share our story, connect with supporters, and grow an international community.

The Role

We’re seeking a creative and organised Social Media Manager to help shape and grow our online presence. You will manage our social channels, create engaging content, and help build a vibrant digital community around Scottish heritage and the Lyonic Scots story.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and grow our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn)

• Create and schedule engaging posts, updates, and heritage‑themed content

• Work with our Content Creators, Designers, and Filmmakers to produce multimedia content

• Develop social media campaigns for recruitment, events, and global outreach

• Monitor engagement, respond to messages, and help build an active online community

• Ensure consistent tone, branding, and messaging across all platforms

What We’re Looking For

• Experience managing social media accounts (professional or volunteer)

• Strong understanding of digital trends, engagement strategies, and audience growth

• Creative flair and ability to collaborate with content teams

• Interest in Scottish heritage, culture, or community development

• Ability to work independently and manage a posting schedule

• Basic design or video editing skills (desirable but not essential)
