About Us
The Lyonic Scots Society is the charitable arm of the Lyonic Scots — a heritage community dedicated to preserving, teaching, and celebrating our culture, history, traditions, and identity. As we prepare for our global launch, we are building a strong digital presence to share our story, connect with supporters, and grow an international community.
The Role
We’re seeking a creative and organised Social Media Manager to help shape and grow our online presence. You will manage our social channels, create engaging content, and help build a vibrant digital community around Scottish heritage and the Lyonic Scots story.
What You’ll Do

Manage and grow our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn)

Create and schedule engaging posts, updates, and heritage‑themed content

Work with our Content Creators, Designers, and Filmmakers to produce multimedia content

Develop social media campaigns for recruitment, events, and global outreach

Monitor engagement, respond to messages, and help build an active online community

Ensure consistent tone, branding, and messaging across all platforms
What We’re Looking For

Experience managing social media accounts (professional or volunteer)

Strong understanding of digital trends, engagement strategies, and audience growth

Creative flair and ability to collaborate with content teams

Interest in Scottish heritage, culture, or community development

Ability to work independently and manage a posting schedule

Basic design or video editing skills (desirable but not essential)
