About this Role:
Social Media Specialist (Volunteer, unpaid)
Time Commitment: Approximately 10-15 hours a week
Engagement Duration: Minimum 3-month commitment (renewable upon mutual agreement)
Schedule: Flexible, with availability for at least one weekly team check-in

Role Overview
As a Social Media Specialist (Volunteer, unpaid), you will help shape and grow Solution Community’s online presence across key platforms. You’ll create inspiring content, engage our audience, and use performance insights to strengthen awareness and participation in our initiatives—working remotely with a diverse, global team.
What You Will Do

Create inspiring content: Develop engaging posts, graphics, short videos, stories, and campaign content that communicates our mission, impact, and opportunities to get involved.

Manage social platforms: Maintain and grow our presence across major channels with consistent messaging, brand alignment, and timely publishing.

Build and nurture communities: Foster meaningful interactions with followers, volunteers, nonprofits, philanthropists, and partners to create a supportive online community.

Drive awareness and growth: Support and execute social media strategies that increase visibility, engagement, audience growth, and participation in Solution Community initiatives.

Monitor performance: Track key metrics, analyze results, and share recommendations to improve content effectiveness and reach.

Stay ahead of trends: Keep up with platform updates, emerging trends, and best practices to keep our digital presence innovative and impactful.

Required Skills & Experience

2–5 years of experience in social media, digital content, communications, or a related area (personal projects and volunteer work welcome).

Hands-on familiarity with social media platforms and content formats (posts, stories, short-form video, community engagement).

Strong writing, editing, and basic content planning skills.

Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a remote, international setting.
