Shape the heart of SUNSHINE by designing and leading the activities that bring people together.
If you’re creative, organised and passionate about helping people feel less alone, this role gives you the chance to build something meaningful from the ground up.
About the Role
As our Activities, Programmes & Events Lead, you’ll take the lead in creating, planning and coordinating the activities that support people experiencing loneliness. You’ll design simple, welcoming sessions and community events, help organise logistics, and work closely with the Founder/CEO to bring ideas to life.
This is a leadership‑style volunteer role — but it’s still flexible, supportive and manageable. You won’t be doing everything alone, and you won’t be expected to run a full events department. You’ll simply guide and shape our programme as we grow.

Planning small events that help people connect.
-
Coordinating volunteers to support activities.

-
Supporting the smooth running of events on the day.
-
Gathering feedback and helping improve future sessions.
-
Working with the Founder/CEO to shape our overall programme.
You won’t be responsible for managing staff, handling budgets alone, or delivering complex large‑scale events.
What You Don’t Need
-
Event management qualifications.
-
Professional experience.
-
To commit to lots of hours.
-
To run everything by yourself.
We welcome anyone who is creative, organised and passionate about community connection.
Time Commitment
2–4 hours per week, flexible around your life. A mix of remote planning and occasional in‑person events.
