The VOLUNTEER Opportunity

As a Content Creator / Copywriter, you will help shape SUNSHINE’s voice and tell the stories that inspire understanding, compassion, and action.

Your words will help:

• Raise awareness of loneliness

• Share the lived experiences of people we support

• Attract volunteers, supporters, and partners

Whether you want to contribute a single story or write regularly, your creativity will make a real difference.

What You’ll Be Creating

Depending on your interests and availability, you may help write:

• Blog posts and articles

• Human‑centred stories and case studies

• Newsletter content

• Social media captions and campaigns

• Website copy

• Press releases and awareness pieces

• Fundraising stories and supporter updates

• Messaging for campaigns and events

We’ll match tasks to your strengths — whether you’re a storyteller, a researcher, a campaign writer, or a creative thinker.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need professional writing experience — just heart, clarity, and a love of storytelling.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Writes with warmth, empathy, and purpose

• Can communicate clearly and creatively

• Enjoys crafting stories that connect with people

• Understands the power of language to inspire action

• Is reliable, proactive, and able to meet agreed deadlines

• Is comfortable using email, shared documents, and basic digital tools

• Shares SUNSHINE’s values of kindness, inclusion, and joy

Experience in writing, journalism, blogging, marketing, or communications is helpful — but not essential.
