• What if one smile, one flyer, one moment of kindness could remind someone they matter?

At SUNSHINE, we believe nobody should have to face loneliness alone.

We’re building a brand‑new start‑up loneliness charity that will create welcoming spaces where people can make friends, feel connected and discover that they belong.

But to reach the people who need us most, we need kind, energetic and community‑minded volunteers who aren’t afraid to get out there and help spread the word.

We’re looking for Community Volunteers who can help us engage with the public, promote SUNSHINE across London and support a wide range of activities that help us grow.

This is one of our earliest volunteer roles — a chance to help shape the heart of a charity that could change lives.

About the Volunteer Role: Community Volunteer (Volunteer)

As a Community Volunteer, you’ll be part of SUNSHINE’s frontline presence — helping us connect with the public, raise awareness of loneliness and share our mission of kindness and belonging.

You don’t need experience. You just need to be friendly, reliable and happy to get involved wherever help is needed.

You might help with:

• Going out into the community to engage with the public.

• Handing out flyers and speaking to people about SUNSHINE.

• Supporting bucket collections and awareness days.

• Helping at SUNSHINE events, activities and early programmes.

• Attending public events, fairs and community gatherings to promote our mission.

• Assisting with a wide range of tasks as needed — from setting up spaces to welcoming attendees.

• Bringing warmth, positivity and kindness to every interaction.

Even a few hours each month could make a huge difference.
