Be the digital architect who helps SUNSHINE shine

SUNSHINE Charity is a joyful, human‑driven movement tackling loneliness through connection, kindness and uplifting experiences. To make our programmes run smoothly — from volunteer onboarding to community gatherings — we need strong, secure digital foundations.

We’re now recruiting Digital & IT Leads who can set up our cloud‑based platforms, email systems, shared drives and devices, ensuring everything is safe, secure and ready to support our volunteers and community.

As Digital & IT Lead, you’ll help SUNSHINE:

  • Set up secure, reliable cloud platforms

  • Build simple, user‑friendly digital systems

  • Protect sensitive data and ensure digital safety

  • Equip volunteers with the tools they need

  • Operate confidently and professionally as we grow

Your work becomes the backbone of our charity — enabling us to reach more people, support more volunteers and deliver joyful, human‑centred programmes.

Key duties will include

  • Set up and manage cloud‑based platforms Configure our document storage, collaboration tools and shared drives.

  • Create and maintain our email system Ensure volunteers have secure, easy‑to‑use accounts for SUNSHINE work only.

  • Configure IT devices for SUNSHINE use Set up laptops, tablets or phones with the right apps, permissions and security.

  • Ensure full digital and IT security Protect sensitive personal data, manage access controls and promote safe digital practice.

  • Support volunteers with basic digital troubleshooting Help them feel confident using SUNSHINE’s systems.

  • Champion digital good practice Ensure our tools are simple, safe, accessible and aligned with UK charity standards.

Who you are

You'll bring:

  • Confidence with digital tools, cloud platforms and basic IT setup

  • Passion for helping people and supporting community impact

  • Experience in IT support, digital operations or tech setup
