SUNSHINE Charity is a vibrant, human‑driven, joy‑powered movement tackling loneliness through connection, kindness and community. To bring our programmes to life — from volunteer training to phone lines, insurance, outreach and community events — we need seed funding.

That’s where you come in.

We’re recruiting three Fundraisers / Bid Writers who can help us secure vital start‑up and running costs from UK grant‑making trusts, local authority tenders and community donors. If you love storytelling, impact, creativity and making a real difference, this role is pure magic.

• Volunteer expenses

Every bid you write, every grant you secure, every donation you inspire helps us reach people who feel alone and forgotten. You’ll be powering a movement built on joy, humanity and connection.

Key duties include

• Identify funding opportunities from UK trusts, foundations, local authorities and community sources.

• Write compelling, human‑centred bids that tell SUNSHINE’s story with clarity, passion and impact.

• Develop cases for support that highlight our mission, outcomes and community value.

• Build relationships with funders through warm, professional communication.

• Support community fundraising by inspiring small donations and local engagement.

• Help create a sustainable funding pipeline that supports our long‑term growth.

• Champion transparency and good practice in line with UK charity fundraising standards.

Who you are

You'll bring:

• Strong writing skills and a love of storytelling

• A positive, energetic, can‑do attitude

• Creativity and strategic thinking

• Passion for community impact

• Confidence in researching and approaching funders

• Experience in fundraising, bid writing or charity work (helpful but not essential)

Most importantly, you care deeply about helping a grassroots charity grow into something powerful, joyful and life‑changing.
