Job description

Help us raise vital funds so we can bring more sunshine to people experiencing loneliness.

If you enjoy being creative, organising small activities, or connecting with your community, this role is a great fit.

About the Role

As a Fundraising Support Volunteer, you’ll help SUNSHINE raise the funds we need to run activities, support volunteers, and reach people who feel isolated. You don’t need fundraising experience — just enthusiasm and a willingness to help with small, simple tasks that make a big difference.

This is a flexible, low‑pressure role where you can contribute in ways that suit your skills and confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping plan or support small fundraising activities.

  • Assisting with community fundraising (raffles, stalls, events).

  • Sharing fundraising ideas with the team.

  • Helping write simple fundraising posts for social media.

  • Supporting small grant applications (optional — training provided).

  • Helping build relationships with local groups, shops or supporters.

You won’t be responsible for income targets, managing staff, or writing complex grant applications.

What You Don’t Need

  • Fundraising experience.

  • Qualifications.

  • To be outgoing or confident.

  • A big time commitment.

We welcome anyone who wants to help in a practical, positive way.

Time Commitment

1–3 hours per week, flexible around your life. Can be done remotely, in‑person, or a mix.

What You’ll Gain

  • Experience in community fundraising.

  • Confidence organising small activities.

  • Skills in communication and teamwork.

  • Training and ongoing support.

  • A friendly team and a meaningful cause.

  • The chance to help reduce loneliness in your community.

Ideal For

  • Creative, organised or community‑minded people.

  • Students, career‑changers, retirees.

  • Anyone wanting experience in fundraising or charity work.

  • Someone who enjoys helping in practical ways.

How to Apply

If you’d like to help SUNSHINE grow and support more people, we’d love to hear from you.
