Could YOU help turn the SUNSHINE vision into reality?

SUNSHINE Charity is setting up — and we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised, proactive and people-focused volunteer to work alongside our Founder and help us build the operational foundations of SUNSHINE Charity.

We're looking for someone who can bring energy, structure, ideas and a positive can-do attitude to help keep everything moving behind the scenes as SUNSHINE grows.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping a grassroots start-up charity develop from the ground up and turn our vision of positivity, human connection, community and belonging into real action.

WHAT YOU'LL HELP US DO

Working closely with our Founder, you'll help support the day-to-day operational management and development of SUNSHINE Charity, including:

• Helping turn our plans and ideas into action.
• Helping organise and coordinate SUNSHINE's activities, projects and programmes.
• Helping keep our start-up plans moving forward and making sure things don't get forgotten.
• Supporting our growing team of volunteers and helping different parts of SUNSHINE work together.
• Helping coordinate meetings, activities, events and key deadlines.
• Helping develop and maintain operational processes, systems and ways of working.
• Helping monitor progress across our projects and programmes.
• Bringing new ideas to make SUNSHINE work smarter, better and more effectively.
• Helping identify things that need doing before they become problems.
• Helping connect the dots between our volunteers, programmes, partnerships and wider charity activity.
• Helping create an organised, positive and vibrant culture as SUNSHINE grows.

And most importantly...

Helping our Founder turn the BIG SUNSHINE vision into something REAL!

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You don't need to have worked for a charity before.

You don't need to have every answer.

We're looking for someone who is:

• A great communicator
• Creative & full of ideas
• Reliable & dependable
• Comfortable getting stuck in

And someone who can look at something and think:

"Okay... how can we make this happen?"

You might have experience in operations, project management, administration, business, charity management, events, volunteering or running projects — but we're much more interested in your attitude, enthusiasm and ability to get things done.

THIS IS A HANDS-ON ROLE

This isn't a role where you'll simply sit back and watch things happen.

SUNSHINE is a grassroots start-up charity, which means there will be plenty to do, plenty to build and plenty of opportunities to make your mark.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Help create systems from scratch.
• Shape how SUNSHINE operates.
• Bring your own ideas to the table.
• Work directly with the Founder.
• Help build a growing volunteer-powered organisation.
• See your work turn into real community activity.

You'll be helping build SUNSHINE from the ground up.

HYBRID VOLUNTEER ROLE

A few hours per week

The majority of the role can be carried out remotely, making this a flexible volunteer opportunity.

Occasionally, every few months, you'll need to be available to attend activities in Tower Hamlets and across Inner London, which may include:

1. Team & Volunteer Meetings
2. Planning Sessions
3. Community Activities
4. Project Meetings
5. Training & Development
6. Volunteer Recruitment Activities
7. SUNSHINE Events
