About SUNSHINE Charity

Loneliness is one of the biggest social challenges of our time. Across London, thousands of people feel invisible, disconnected, and without a sense of belonging.

SUNSHINE Charity is a brand‑new start‑up charity with a bold mission: to bring human connection, joy, community and ‘sunshine’ into people’s lives — one conversation, one moment, one person at a time.

We are small, new, and full of heart. We believe that connection changes everything. And we’re looking for a founding leader who believes the same.

Volunteer Role

As our Volunteer CEO, you will be the driving force behind building SUNSHINE Charity from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape a charity’s identity, culture, programmes and future impact from day one.

You will:

• Provide inspiring leadership and vision.

• Build our volunteer team and community partnerships.

• Develop programmes that reduce loneliness and increase belonging.

• Represent SUNSHINE Charity across London.

• Help secure early funding and resources.

• Create a culture rooted in joy, compassion and human connection.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to lead with purpose, create social change, and build something meaningful that will grow across London and beyond. It would also suit someone who would fundraise for their own salary at SUNSHINE.

You don’t need previous CEO experience — just heart, commitment, and the courage to lead.
