Volunteer Programme Lead Wanted!

Could YOU help us build a volunteer community that brings SUNSHINE to people's lives?

SUNSHINE Charity is setting up — and we're looking for a bubbly, friendly, sociable and super-organised volunteer to help us build and lead our SUNSHINE Volunteer Programme.

We're looking for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm and a genuine love of people to help us create an amazing volunteer experience from the moment someone first hears about SUNSHINE to the moment they become an active, confident and engaged member of our community.

WHAT YOU'LL HELP US DO

You'll help lead the development and running of our volunteer programme, including:

• Recruiting new SUNSHINE volunteers.
• Welcoming and onboarding new volunteers.
• Helping organise inductions and training.
• Keeping volunteers informed, motivated and engaged.
• Creating a positive, friendly and inclusive volunteer community.
• Helping volunteers find the right opportunities for them.
• Supporting volunteer communication and engagement.
• Helping us recognise, appreciate and celebrate our amazing volunteers.
• Developing new ideas to make the SUNSHINE Experience something people love being part of!

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You don't need to be a volunteer-management expert.

We're looking for someone who is:

Most importantly, you need to LOVE people and LOVE SUNSHINE!

HYBRID VOLUNTEER ROLE

A few hours per week

The majority of the role can be carried out remotely, making this a super flexible volunteer opportunity.

Occasionally, every few months, you'll need to be available to attend in-person activities in Tower Hamlets and across Inner London, including:

1. Volunteer Recruitment Sessions
2. Volunteer Inductions
3. Training Sessions
4. Volunteer Meetings
5. Community & Volunteer Events
