The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children. We aim to actively encourage women to be self-reliant, through empowering them to identify their own needs, make their own choices and create their own solutions.
We offer short term home visits, counselling sessions, baby bank, practical & emotional One to One support, Domestic violence groups, Awareness raising workshops and drop in or chat groups to help women facing crises or challenging situations.
Purpose of the volunteer role:
Our charity shop helps us raise funds so we can provide our services to the people who need us. The shop heavily relies on a team of volunteers to help run it and support our staff. By helping out in our shop, you can make a difference to vulnerable & disadvantaged women and their families in Wolverhampton.
We are looking for a volunteer delivery driver who will work as part of our friendly team to collect & deliver essential items such as clothing, food and toiletries to local families in need.
Task Description
his is an opportunity to undertake a satisfying and rewarding role. As part of our team of volunteers, you will collect and transfer donations for the charity, providing an extremely useful and appreciated service to the Charity. You should have the use of your own car and hold a full driving licence.
Principal Responsibilities:

To pick up / collect donated stock from donors.

To deliver stock to the charity or to clients.

To transfer donations between our donors and the shop or clients.

To contribute to a non-judgemental and safe space.

Pick up supplies for charities.

To ensure you have an understanding (appropriate to your role) of, and comply with WFRC’s procedures.

To comply with WFRC’s Health and Safety Policy, Data Protection Policy and to protect your own and others’ health, safety and welfare.

To manage the effective monitoring and evaluation of the service.
