About the role
The HR team is responsible for a broad range of functions supporting our 24-strong staff team and trustees. CXK will be delivering 12 week NEET programmes across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. The programmes will run weekly in local communities where it has been identified there are a significant number of young people not in education, employment of training. The Role
As a Assistant Retail Area Manager, you will play a key support role within the retail team in South and West Yorkshire, ensuring continuity of shop operations, reducing unplanned shop closure dates, and strengthening recruitment and induction processes.

The Role

Keep People content on SharePoint and internal platforms accurate and up to date.
Assist with policy updates and document management.

Support accurate and timely payroll changes in collaboration with Finance.
Assist with preparation and checking of employee change information and final pay inputs.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data protection and employment requirements.
Track routine HR deadlines, training records and contract administration.
Team coordination and wider support
Provide flexible administrative support to the People Team.
Build effective working relationships across global teams.
Support meetings, workshops and training sessions.
Contribute to People projects and organisational priorities.
About you
You will bring:
At least 2 years’ experience in HR, People administration or coordination.
Strong systems and data management skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
Good understanding of HR administration, confidentiality and data protection.
Strong organisational, communication and coordination skills.
A proactive, solution‑focused approach and willingness to improve processes.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures.

We are currently looking for a Retail Assistant to join our Retail, Services and Operations team at our shop in Scarborough.
As a Retail Assistant, you will support the Shop Manager and Deputy Shop Manager and work alongside volunteers, playing an active part in running a successful Charity Shop. This includes stock management, merchandising, operating the till and providing excellent customer service.
You will need to be committed to creating a welcoming professional atmosphere and demonstrating the values of Yorkshire Cancer Research. You will also be a passionate and enthusiastic ambassador for the charity and its work.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have worked in a retail environment, have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, good communication skills and the ability to motivate yourself and others.

We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme and are supporting young people via Power2 Rediscover, an intensive 1:1 crisis response programme.
