NHS Providers’ Development programmes team delivered a range of training and development activities for NHS boards and foundation trust governors. The team delivers over 200 events annually. We are looking for a senior development programmes coordinator to take responsibility for the efficient coordination of this work, elements of which are delivered virtually, in-person or hybrid.
In addition, the postholder will have responsibility for the effective line management to some of the team’s programme administrators/assistants.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a busy, high-performing team working across two of NHS Providers’ successful programmes – GovernWell and the Board Development Programme. The individual should have excellent programme coordination skills, the ability to work effectively across multiple projects will be critical to success. The postholder will be an excellent communicator with the ability to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally. They must be able to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a team. Along with being analytical and insightful, the postholder will be highly organised with a keen eye for detail. About the role
This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s community fundraising and trade revenues (target of £266,000 in 2024) and building significant engagement with community supporters and fundraisers. You will manage a committed team of two people in the Community and Trade team.
You will be responsible for raising awareness of our community fundraising programme and developing a ‘best-in-class’ stewardship programme that builds new and develops existing relationships with supporters, volunteer groups, organisations and partners to maximise income and raise the charity’s profile. You will also lead on the development and delivery of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025.

Key responsibilities
Community fundraising
• Design and implement a stewardship programme that converts interest into support and maximises fundraised income whilst developing lasting relationships.
• Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
• Grow non-monetary donations as part of the community fundraising portfolio of events.
• Support the Head of Fundraising in designing new and developing existing community fundraising opportunities.
• Market and promote the calendar of community events to existing and potential supporters and wider to grow levels of engagement and participation.
• Support the Head of Fundraising to design and develop the community events and engagement fundraising calendar to potentially include bespoke, charity place, promoted and reactive events.
• Lead on the creation and implementation of a digital community fundraising programme, focusing of mass participation, low barrier to entry activities.
• Lead on the management and innovation of our trade fundraising income.
• Lead on the development and delivery of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025.
Database and process management
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure all recording, banking and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity (finance, data and marketing and communications) and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Record all community and trade income and thank community donors and supporters as per the agreed process.
• Record supporter and event/product specific information.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.
Wider fundraising
• Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
• Manage merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.
Working across the organisation
• Work with the Fundraising Team and wider organisation to develop an engaging and rewarding volunteering strategy across the charity.
• Manage the organisation’s close collaboration with the British Transplant Games.
• Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to identify key supporters to develop and nurture, including those who might join our major giving programme.
• Work across teams to raise the profile of the charity and its fundraising activities.

We're looking for a temporary Revenue & Income Officer to join Your Place and be part of our dedicated team to help us with our mission to solve homelessness in east London, one person at a time!
About the role
Based within the Resident Services team, the Revenue Officer will play a critical role to help deliver an effective and high performing rent collection and recovery service in accordance with legislation, the organisation’s policies, set performance targets and customer satisfaction requirements.
In collaboration with the RSM and RI Team Leader and Finance Team to ensure that Your Place are compliant with all regulations and using robust policy and procedures. Support with the set up of the new Pyramid system and ensuring the right systems are in place to effectively manage the Revenue and Income stream and arrears of the organisation.
Maximising the organisation’s Revenue and Income by liaising with both internal and external partners including the Resident Services, Keyworkers, HB, DWP and directly with residents., and effectively managing the arrears.
This role will also manage the impact of welfare reform provisions, ensuring an effective advice and support service to residents to manage risk on revenue and income levels.

- Chasing ex resident arrears
- To manage resident rent and accommodation charge accounts and other former resident debts, on a regular basis identifying trends and patterns on individual accounts and then liaise with Support Workers or residents to rectify income issues and address arrears in line with policies and procedures
- To contribute towards the continuous improvement of performance in line with the organisation’s service plan targets
- To work collaboratively and closely with the Finance officer and Revenue and Income Team Leader to ensure all rent accounts tally.

- Demonstrable experience of working in a supported housing environment in a similar or related role for at least 5 years
- GSCE (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
The post will be responsible for identifying and developing new and existing relationships with corporate partners and prospects to fundraise and generate income to assist the team in reaching agreed income targets.
b) Work relationships
The post holder will work closely with and report to the Lead Corporate Engagement Manager and will also work closely with the following:
• Existing Corporate Relationship Managers regarding managing corporate partners and supporting new business proposals.
• Head of Philanthropy and Partnership and the Major Giving Manager to support and maximise philanthropy and corporate trust opportunities.
• Challenge Events Team to deliver and promote a programme of activities that are tailored to the company’s fundraising targets and objectives
• Heads of Care and Lead Nurses regarding hospice visits, and in hospice activities to make sure they are fully up to date on all aspects of our Care services in order to communicate effectively with partners, and when organising volunteer opportunities at the hospices.
• Communication & Marketing Team for support with proposals and presentations, key communications and digital activity
• Community fundraising team when passing over accounts for them to manage and for them to hand over leads

• Responsibility for maintaining and developing an accurate database of activities to enable the effective reporting, monitoring and analysis of business relationship management activity and achievements
b) New Business Development – 25%
• Proactively identifying, researching, prioritising and making effective approaches to corporate prospects in relation to the spectrum of Corporate Social Responsibility activities - Charity of the year, sponsorship, donations and volunteering opportunities
• Planning, designing and presenting compelling presentations and proposals with assistance from the Communications & Marketing team for new business approaches and presentations

• Plan proposals to approach existing /new partners to become sponsors of our key events
• Approach companies to obtain gifts in kind to help support the activities across the charity.
d) Strategic Planning – 10%
• Supporting the Lead Corporate Engagement Manager in the fulfilment of the team’s strategy and team objectives
• Working with the Lead Corporate Engagement Manager to plan and implement strategies to secure new corporate support that have a potential value of over £5,000.
e) Cross Team working – 5%
• Working with fundraising colleagues to ensure understanding of account management needs of new corporate partners. This will involve regular meetings and account updates
• Keeping up to date with charity-wide best practice/policies relating to corporate engagement and fundraising activities by networking, attending presentations and peer to peer communications
• Work with all appropriate teams to get all relevant information when putting together applications and presentations
f) Other duties
• The post holder must be able and willing to get to/work in both hospices, Christopher’s in Guildford, and our fundraising base at Shooting Star House in Hampton as required.
• The post holder should be prepared to attend meetings and events on behalf of SSCH in different parts of the country. Some meetings and events may be during evenings or weekends.

About the team
This role sits within our Mass Participation team, which supports participants in challenge events organised by third parties (e.g., the London Marathon) and bespoke Shelter events (e.g., Walk for Home, Facebook Challenge).

About the role
This Co-ordinator role sits in the Mass Participation team. We support participants in mass participation challenge events - both those organised by third parties (e.g. London Marathon) and bespoke Shelter events that we develop (e.g. Walk for Home, Facebook Challenge).
Across the charity sector, fundraising through challenge events was hugely impacted over the last three years because of Covid-19 and the cost-of-living crisis. At Shelter, we’ve consolidated our events offering to supporters and are investing in growing our portfolio, aiming to achieve growth in the coming years across challenge and bespoke events.
We’ve seen an increase in participation levels and income from third party events over the last 18 months, with sell out teams of up to 400 runners in our events. We are ambitious and seek to significantly grow our income and supporter numbers and are looking for someone who can join us to be part of the team that makes that happen. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in working in a charity, fundraising or events environment to learn more about community and events, take on the responsibility of overseeing and implementing events with the support of the Senior Mass Participation Manager, and develop a career in fundraising.
The main objective of the Co-ordinator role will be to deliver challenge and bespoke events, from planning and set up, pulling together financial budgets to meeting supporter recruitment and income targets through to the delivery of event day and evaluating results.
This role will primarily focus on delivering our participation in third party events (including the London Landmarks Half Marathon, the Great North Run and the Hackney Half Marathon). There will be opportunities to broaden experience and support the wider Community & Events team during busy times, and coordinators are expected to be flexible and work across the wider mass participation portfolio when required.
About you
Someone who enjoys collaborating and communicating with a variety of people, whether face-to-face, over the phone, by email, letter or via social media channels, you have great attention to detail and a proactive approach to everything you do. If you’ve got experience of managing challenge events for charities or stewarding large volumes (200+) supporters that would be a bonus but is not essential. A basic knowledge of budgeting (for which support will be provided) would also help you quickly gain confidence in the role. Equally important is a positive attitude to learning, a flexible approach and excellent time management skills, along with a willingness to be busy each day and enjoy the variety that brings.

Job Purpose
The function of this role is to work with the Head of Development to devise and implement a programme of successful alumni events and fundraising for The Glasgow Academy.
Alumni Engagement: The focus is to build positive relationships with all members of the school and wider communities, including that of the former Westbourne School for Girls. Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3000 children in 2023-24.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. Job Summary
Chapter One is seeking a West Cumbria Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able to both motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around West Cumbria.
