Main Purpose of Job

We are seeking a part-time Communications and Impact Officer to help us promote volunteering opportunities and communicate the impact of our work across Kensington & Chelsea.

This role will lead on impact communications, storytelling, and digital content, ensuring that funders, partners, and the public clearly understand the difference volunteering makes in our community.

You will create engaging content across multiple channels, including social media, VCKC’s website, impact reports, case studies, and funding communications. You will also support colleagues in communicating the impact of their programmes and promoting them effectively by turning data and evidence into compelling narratives, case studies, and marketing materials.

Key duties

• Create engaging communications and digital content to promote volunteering opportunities

• Produce impact reports, case studies, funder updates, and website content

• Manage and grow engagement across social media and VCKC’s website

• Translate data and evaluation insights into clear, accessible communications

• Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and storytelling across the organisation

• Support colleagues with impact narratives for funding bids and external communications

• Monitor communications performance and maintain simple systems for communications data and reporting

Role Requirements

Your role will be to provide a high standard of housekeeping and accommodation service across site. You will provide excellent levels of cleanliness that are consistent throughout the site.

As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.

You will be a natural and enthusiastic housekeeper working not only as part of a team but also individually.  This is a chance for an outstanding candidate to make a significant and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of children and families.

The role

As our Advice Session Supervision, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the delivery of advice services across both office-based and community outreach settings.

You will supervise, support, and develop a team of employed advisers, volunteers, and supervisors—ensuring our services are of the highest quality and delivered in line with Citizens Advice standards. 

This includes oversight of advice sessions, project coordination, case checking, and ensuring team members are up to date with training and development.

This is a key leadership role requiring strong people management skills, sound advice knowledge, and the ability to motivate and empower others. You will demonstrate a deep commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service, with a passion for achieving the best outcomes for our clients.

Role profile

Team Leadership & Line Management

• Supervise and support a team of advisers and volunteers in order to provide high quality accurate advice to service users and partners

• Conduct regular supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews.

• Support with recruitment, induction, and development for advisers and supervisors.

• Promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and inclusion.

Service Delivery Oversight

• Ensure smooth delivery of generalist and specialist advice services across all channels (in-person, phone, online, outreach).

• Monitor session flow and respond to operational pressures and safeguarding issues.

• Manage rota planning and resource allocation in response to demand.

Quality & Compliance

• Oversee quality assurance and ensure advice meets Citizens Advice standards.

• Conduct case checks, Independent file reviews, and support remedial action where needed.

• Promote continuous improvement and respond to client feedback or complaints.

• Ensure supervisors, advisers and volunteers complete tasks and remedial action in a timely manner.
   

 Technical Support & Guidance

• Act as a point of escalation for complex advice queries from supervisors, advisers and volunteers

• Ensure technical knowledge is shared and updated across the team.

• Contribute to internal training and CPD activities.

Training & Development

• Ensure all supervisors, advisers, and volunteers are up to date with mandatory and role-specific training.

• Monitor attendance at refresher events and promote a learning culture.

• Liaise with internal trainers to coordinate support and capacity building across teams.

• Ensure own training and professional development is kept up to date in line with role requirements.

 Service Development & Data Monitoring

• Use data, KPIs and trends to inform improvements and plan service delivery.
  Support the development and implementation of new projects and funding bids.

• Engage with partners and stakeholders to extend service reach and impact.

Research and campaigns

• Assist with research and campaigns by providing information on clients' circumstances and current issues faced 

• Provide statistical information on the number of clients and nature of cases and provide regular reports to management. 

• Monitor service provision to ensure that it reaches the widest possible client group. 

• Alert other staff to local and national issues and campaigns. 

  Person specification 

Essential: 

• At least 1 years’ experience supervising advice services or managing advice teams.

• Sound understanding of regulated advice delivery (e.g., debt, benefits, housing).

• Proven ability to manage people and deliver operational leadership.

• Experience conducting case checks and applying Citizens Advice quality standards.

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.. 

• Have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel to locations across Doncaster 

• An understanding of local and national issues that may affect those accessing the service provision 

Desirable:

• Experience of building relationships with partners and external organisations 

• Experience of working within a community setting

• Proven experience of working towards and achieving targets and running funded projects 

• Experience of providing advice 

• Familiarity with Citizens Advice systems and service models.

Terms and conditions

• Full time salary £28,000 -  £31,700 per annum depending on experience

• Hours - 37 hours per week with some requirement for out of usual office hours remote supervision

• A full-time post holder will be entitled to 28 days which are inclusive of the 8 normal bank holidays and 4 associated days.

Are you a dog-loving marketing professional who has experience of building communications plans for regional audiences?
We’re looking for a Regional Marketing Manager to shape and deliver a regional, audience centric marketing strategy to promote our rehoming centres in the South East of England, to expand local awareness of our brand, drive engagement from local communities and encourage more people to adopt a dog.

What does this role do?
As Regional Marketing Manager, you will:

• develop a strong knowledge of our audiences in South East England, understanding the areas local to our rehoming centres. Translating this knowledge and insight into bespoke, targeted activity for the audience, you will be responsible for driving awareness of the brand in the region,
• work with other teams within Marketing and Communications to translate organisational strategy into regional plans. Working with local rehoming centres, you will be responsible for understanding the regional perspective, and presenting suitable alternatives or solutions where necessary,
• plan and deliver 360 marketing plans across paid, owned and earned channels, ensuring they are on brand tonally and visually, relevant to the region and ensuring they meet key objectives and targets,
• lead and motivate a small team of Regional Campaigns Officers based in the region providing development, mentorship and guidance to deliver regional activity that meets both organisational, and region specific objectives,
• build a strong working relationship with both London based and rehoming centre based teams.

Please note, this role will be hybrid between home and any of our rehoming centres in the South East of England, including Basildon, Canterbury, Harefield, Shoreham-by-Sea or Salisbury. It will involve significant travel across the region, as well as the need to work from the London office occasionally.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need significant experience across the communications mix, and leading, planning and delivering end-to-end communications campaigns, with a strong understanding of how these campaigns align with a wider strategy. You’ll have experience of working in PR, social media, audience insights and project management methodologies. The Role

Working under the supervision of the Immigration Supervisor and alongside the Immigration Adviser, you will:

Purpose

Our Immigration Team works closely with Birmingham City University (BCU) to run the Immigration Law Student Clinic, a key source of free accredited immigration advice for people in Birmingham who cannot afford legal support.

The role involves supervising students as they research and prepare legal advice, coordinating day‑to‑day clinic activity, and supporting casework within CELC’s immigration team. You will recruit, train, and mentor students, ensuring they have an excellent student experience and helping them develop practical legal skills while ensuring clients receive an excellent service.

Responsibilities

Working closely with Birmingham City University the Law Clinic Supervisor will:

• Recruit and select students for involvement in the clinic
• Undertaking inductions with new students, in line with the Law Centre's Clinic practices ,including training on CELC systems and processes
• Develop and maintain student training manuals, policies, template letters, referral forms etc.
• Assess client cases prior to allocation to students
• Manage overall clinic calendar, allocating client cases to students
• Supervise all elements of student work, providing guidance to ensure accuracy and quality of research undertaken and advice provided
• Maintain accurate records of student inductions and supervisions
• Sign-off and submittance of applications
• Advise students to access other CELC teams for legal guidance where necessary e.g. family law, employment, housing etc.
• Create a positive and nurturing environment for students to learn practical casework skills  
• Monitor and report performance of the clinic to CELC and Birmingham City University
• Work positively with the Law Centre’s Clinic Lead and the other clinic leads in delivering the overall partnership and wider clinical legal education

· Ensure that the Clinic is run in line with the Team’s priorities and the strategy and priorities of the Law Centre

• Undertake professional development to ensure legal expertise is current and up to date

The Law Clinic Supervisor will also:

• Demonstrate their commitment to the aims and principles of CELC
• Abide by policies and procedures as set out in the Office Manual and Staff Handbook
• Attend Immigration and all CELC team meetings and away days

Person Specification

Essential

• A non-judgmental attitude and commitment to social justice and the aims of CELC

• One or more of the following professional qualifications: IAA registration at L2 or above, qualified solicitor, qualified barrister, Senior caseworker accreditation with the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme.

About the role
