Key responsibilities and duties

The Clinical Service Manager will be responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day management and development of The Maya Centre’s clinical services. Key duties will include:

• Providing clinical management across The Maya Centre’s therapeutic services and therapist teams.
• Managing the client journey from referral through to assessment and allocation.
• Overseeing referrals, triage, assessments and allocation processes for new clients.
• Acting, alongside the Clinical Director, as a senior clinical point of contact and providing case consultation where required.
• Supporting and managing therapists, including responding to clinical queries and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Undertaking clinical risk assessment and risk management as required.
• Ensuring outcome measures, including CORE, are completed and used effectively across clinical services.
• Maintaining high standards of clinical governance, record keeping, monitoring and evaluation.
• Supporting the recruitment, induction and professional development of therapists.
• Working with the Clinical Director, CEO and wider team to develop and improve The Maya Centre’s service model.
• Building positive relationships with partner agencies, community organisations, health and social care providers, funders and other stakeholders.
• Supporting consultation events, stakeholder engagement and the promotion of The Maya Centre’s services.
• Contributing to reports for trustees, funders and other audiences.
• Attending relevant meetings, including clinical team meetings, supervisors’ meetings, management meetings and CPD sessions.
• Representing The Maya Centre externally at relevant inter-agency and clinical meetings where appropriate.
• Supporting fundraising, events and wider organisational activities when required.

Person specification:

Essential

• Full membership, registration and accreditation with UKCP, BPS, BPC and/or BACP.
• A minimum of three years’ post-qualification clinical experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development in line with relevant professional body requirements.
• Experience of working clinically with clients who have experienced childhood trauma.
• Experience of culturally sensitive clinical practice.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and its implications for clinical practice.
• Good knowledge and experience of a broad range of psychological therapies.
• A minimum of two years’ experience of clinical service management.
• Experience of management within an organisational context.
• Experience of working in different cultural contexts.

Safe Haven Sussex CIC is a non-profit community interest company providing accommodation and support for vulnerable adults who have been homeless or vulnerably housed. The Seagull Project is a medium-support service providing housing for up to 40 residents across 7 properties in Brighton and Hove. The Seagull Project takes a harm-reduction approach, supporting individuals with a range of complex and multiple support needs, which may include the active use of substances.

The Seagull Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the service and manage a team of Support Coordinators, ensuring a high standard of person-centred and trauma informed support is consistently provided to residents. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the referrals and assessments process, working closely with Brighton and Hove City Council.
• Attend regular meetings with the Supported Housing and Commissioning Team, providing relevant updates about the service and residents.
• Support the welfare team with incidents and provide out of hours support on designated days, in line with the on call rota.
• Work in partnership with local services to provide comprehensive and holistic support.
• Ensure staff deliver support within a trauma-informed framework, aligning with the objectives of the Local Authority.
• Work toward organisational and Brighton and Hove City Council targets.
• Support the team to coordinate and accompany residents to key appointments, including but not limited to GP visits, recovery services and probation meetings.
• Manage a team of three Support Coordinators and a Team Leader, providing regular work reviews, casework supervisions and team meetings.
• Produce monthly reports about the service, to be shared with the Head of Service and Directors.
• Work collaboratively with the Finance Manager to address longstanding challenges relating to rent and service charge.
• To promote a harm-reduction approach to the management of incidents, with the aim of supporting residents to maintain their housing.

We are recruiting for a Cleaner to work as part of a small team of Maintenance Workers across West Sussex. This is a hands-on role; undertaking planned communal cleaning, responding to unexpected cleaning needs, undertaking cleaning of empty properties, working on and assessing the day‑to‑day compliance of our sites. You will be working closely with housing staff throughout the projects.

In delivering the role, you will:

• Complete day‑to‑day cleaning in YMCA DownsLink Group properties, ensuring all work meets agreed quality standards, safety requirements and timescales.
• Assist the maintenance team with voids (empty homes) work, from ‘keys in’ to ready-to-let, working to agreed targets and KPIs.
• Work across all allocated sites, planning travel and workload to meet priorities and service needs.

• Liaise promptly with the Supported Housing Managers or Repairs Supervisor when work cannot be completed due to lack of capability, time or access.

About the role

This is a part-time, fixed-term role (21 hours per week) and a genuine investment in your professional development. As a Welfare Benefits Trainee Adviser, you will receive structured, on-the-job training to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to provide high-quality, person-centred advice. You will work under close supervision, with the opportunity to achieve the AdviceUK Learning to Advise (LTA) Full Programme certification within your first six months, between September and December 2026.

Day to day, you will support service users with a range of practical needs: interpreting calls, helping with GP registrations, guiding people through form applications, assisting with school enrolment, and providing orientation on accessing government support. As your training progresses, your responsibilities will develop towards more in-depth welfare benefits advice.

This is not an entry-level role that leaves you unsupported. You will be supervised, mentored, and developed throughout, and if you complete your probation successfully, further training and qualification opportunities may follow.

What we are looking for

You will be an advanced Spanish speaker with at least six months of experience working with individuals or communities in a supportive capacity, paid or voluntary. You will bring empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve, alongside a structured, organised approach and a willingness to learn.

You do not need to be a qualified adviser yet. What matters most is that you are ready to grow into one.

Key Responsibilities

Advocacy & Empowerment

• Support adults with learning disabilities and neurodivergent) to express their views, wishes, and concerns in their own words.

• Support people with a range of communication needs using accessible approaches (signs, symbols, photos, multimedia, etc).
• Help service users understand information and choices using accessible communication (Easy Read, plain English, visuals).

Casework & Representation

• Manage a caseload of individuals needing one‑to‑one advocacy.
• Attend multi‑agency meetings (such as MASH) to ensure the person’s voice is heard and respected.
• Challenge decisions or practices that undermine an adult with learning disabilities’ rights, wellbeing, or independence.

Safeguarding & Rights Protection

• Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with Camden People First policies and statutory guidance.
• Promote the principles of the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, Equality Act, and Human Rights Act and other legislation.
• Ensure all advocacy is independent, confidential, and led by the person.

Administration & Reporting

• Keep accurate case notes, outcome records, and monitoring information.
• Contribute to service evaluation, member feedback, and quality improvement.
• Support the development of accessible information and Easy Read materials.

Internal Relationships

Reports to the Director, with caseload-only supervision by the Volunteer Caseload Supervisor.

The Pankhurst Trust (Incorporating Manchester Women's Aid) is a Manchester-based charity supporting women, children and communities affected by domestic abuse.

About the Role

As part of our Central Services team, you'll help create a positive employee experience across the organisation. From recruitment and onboarding to learning, wellbeing and employee relations, you'll support the people practices that enable our staff and volunteers to deliver life-changing services.

You'll also play an important role in supporting the governance of the charity, acting as a key point of contact for Trustees and Board sub-committees and helping to ensure effective decision-making and accountability.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in HR, People Management or Organisational Development. You'll gain experience across the full employee lifecycle, contribute to strategic projects and develop an understanding of charity governance within a supportive and values-led organisation.

As part of the role, you'll be supported to complete a Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship, leading to a recognised CIPD qualification.

What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes

• Supporting managers and colleagues with day-to-day people queries

• Maintaining accurate, confidential and audit-ready records

• Reviewing and improving HR and people processes

• Producing reports and insights from people data

• Coordinating Board and sub-committee meetings, papers, minutes and action logs

• Supporting governance processes and Trustee administration

• Working with colleagues across Volunteering, Training and Central Services on organisational projects

• Supervising and supporting Business Support Officers

• Contributing to a positive, inclusive and values-led culture

About You

You'll enjoy supporting others, building strong relationships and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable balancing competing priorities while handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

You'll be motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a feminist, trauma-informed organisation and will have:

• A strong interest in HR, Governance, Organisational Development or People Management

• Experience providing administrative support in a professional environment

• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders

• Confidence coordinating projects and supporting colleagues

• A proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement

• The ability to analyse information and present meaningful insights

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications

• High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality

Previous HR administration experience would be beneficial but is not essential. We welcome candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills, a commitment to learning and a passion for supporting people and organisational success.
