We are looking for a People Policy & Engagement Partner to join the National Theatre People Team.

The purpose of the role

The People Team provide advice, guidance and support to all National Theatre staff, line managers and senior leaders on people policies; terms and conditions of employment; recruitment and selection; performance management; staff engagement; diversity and inclusion; trade union and employee relations; discipline, grievance, and capability processes; and training and career development. We pride ourselves on providing a customer-focused, flexible, and agile service and aim to support and facilitate an open and inclusive culture where all staff can thrive.

The successful applicant for this role will lead on the development and review of employment policies, undertaking benchmarking and researching best practice to ensure the NT has a full range of accessible and inclusive policies. They will analyse and interpret business intelligence and workforce data to inform policy development and decision making whilst working with colleagues to develop guidance and training for managers and act as the department’s central advisory expertise. They will also lead on work related to the NT’s pay framework and policy and manage engagement surveys, developing routine reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Experience across a range of People functions that demonstrates an ability to work autonomously across a range of functions, including generalist, policy development, reward and interpreting terms and conditions.
• Experience of analysing and presenting information both written and verbally in informal and formal settings.
• Experience of working with information, databases and ability to interrogate and analyse data.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit to join the wider Compliance, Audit and Risk team at SIG! You will have the overall responsibility of keeping participants, residents, and staff safe. The team manages the development, monitoring, and reporting of several areas including but not limited to accidents, incidents, and near misses (AINMs), safety reviews, safeguarding, whistleblowing, complaints, policy and procedure, health and safety, internal audit, business continuity planning and data protection.

As The Head of Compliance, Risk and Audit, you are the lynchpin of the wider team, linking strategic vision with solid and accountable implementation. You will be responsible for developing the team in the broad space of compliance as well as in their own areas of specialism, ensuring that a transparent and accountable compliance framework is implemented and embedded in line with regulatory and legislative change.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. At least 2 days per week in central office (Islington) and our services which are in and around London, Brighton & Hove, Kent, Havering, Bedford, Luton, Nottingham, and Liverpool.
The additional 3 days can be worked from home. You may at times be required to visit a service more than 2 times within a week.

ABOUT YOU

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Line Management and leadership throughout employee lifecycle this includes; Recruitment, Onboarding, Inductions, training, support and supervision, relations, wellbeing support, and other areas.
• Formalise Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to monitor objectives.
• Provide both line management and professional consulting using best available forums and mechanisms, including meetings, support effective teamwork and communication. Facilitate a culture where constructive challenge is welcomed, and conflict is managed supportively in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• Deputise for the Director as required.

Safeguarding, Audit, and Compliance

• Oversee the compliance audits across departments and services, providing support, and follow up with operational teams on a regular basis.
• Oversee the Safeguarding infrastructure, deputising for the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) as necessary. Oversee complaints and other processes and develop these to ensure they are safe, fair, equitable, and fit for purpose.
• Support services with commissioner led quality assurance framework (QAF) inspections and those registered with the CQC to maintain their portfolios and ensure they are ready for inspection at any time to retain their registrations.
• Promote and support a positive whistleblowing culture, assist Champions, People and Culture, managers and the audit and compliance team on concerns raised and ensuring the whistleblower is protected.

Reporting and Analysis

• Attend and develop AINMs review meetings for maximum impact in terms of positive safety culture. Ensure the lessons learned from AINMs reviews, safety reviews, and safeguarding concerns are shared and feedback loops are closed.
• Review the collation and analysis of AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, developing the Audit and Compliance team, as well as other operational teams in reflection and root cause analysis

Data Protection

• Monitor the use of external data protection and compliance partners to ensure we maintain ICO requirements and maintain our Data Security Protection Toolkit Certification.
• Monitor and ensure integrity in document control, policy, and procedures as they are developed, reviewed, and published.
• Understand and support an Information Security infrastructure alongside additional teams in the organisation and support Managers and teams with training and challenges where necessary.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits
• Proven experience in governance systems and structures which can include auditing, risk management, investigations, complaint handling, policy, procedure, and report writing
• Experience and/or ability to coach, develop, and manage direct reports
• Background in health, social care, criminal justice, and/or supported housing systems
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
• Adequate understanding of the importance and mechanics of document control and writing policy and procedure
• Working knowledge of health and safety processes and procedures
• Ability to write reports in a clear, readable format

Duties and Key relationships Marketing and Communications

This is a new role in the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for the media relations of the Charity.  

PR and Media Relations

• To develop relevant media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.

• Produce creative copy written for a variety of audience groups which champions and shows best practice of our tone of voice

Duties and key responsibilities

Community fundraising

• Manage and develop regional fundraising by devising a regional community fundraising strategy for income generation.
• Design and develop Sarcoma UK's calendar of annual community fundraising campaigns and events communication, including Cuppa and Cake.
• Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.

Prospect Research Manager

Location: UK, remote or hybrid in London

The Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is an international, not-for-profit research and development (R&D) organization that develops and delivers new treatments for neglected diseases affecting millions of the world’s poorest people.

Purpose of the position

We’re looking for an experienced prospect researcher with strong analytical skills and an excellent knowledge of the global philanthropic space to join our Private Sector Fundraising team. You will be joining a growing major gifts programme with ambitious goals and a strong new business focus.

You will have prospect research experience in a global health, scientific or medical non-profit setting, and the ability to move comfortably between the worlds of research and philanthropy and to identify opportunities beyond the obvious.

The successful candidate will develop and implement an effective prospect research strategy supporting DNDi’s philanthropic ambitions, identifying new leads from foundations, philanthropists, trusts and companies, philanthropy collaboratives and funding calls. The role also involves setting up and socialising knowledge capture systems eg utilising Salesforce and communicating on good practice to other colleagues.

Specific Job Responsibilities

1. Strategy and planning:

· Assist in developing a proactive and growth-focused prospect research strategy that aligns with DNDi's fundraising plans and strategic priorities.

· Develop and socialise processes and procedures relating to prospect research.

· Contribute to developing a visibility strategy for DNDi through the identification and tracking of prizes and relevant philanthropic and global health conferences.

2. Prospect identification:

· Identify and qualify prospective donors by cross-referencing information from our supporter database, external databases, funding calls, media sources, and biographical references.

· Conduct in-depth research on prospective donors and contacts.

· Build, track, and report on prospective donors for various funding priorities, ensuring they meet fundraising ambitions.

· Develop strong relationships internally, promoting the effective use of research information.

3. Prospect management:

· Make data-driven recommendations to support the cultivation of new prospects and the management of key donor relationships.

· Ensure fundraisers have dynamic prospect portfolios optimized to meet fundraising targets.

· Provide timely, accurate, and relevant information to fundraisers and organisational leaders as required, including meeting briefings.

4. Communication and internal capacity building:

· Present research results through written reports and presentations for various audiences.

· Present on aspects of prospect research and good practices to internal audiences

5. Knowledge capture/retention, compliance and due diligence:

· Input and maintain accurate information in Salesforce to support ongoing relationships and work with relevant team members on the systemization of knowledge capture, pipeline reporting and prospect ranking systems in Salesforce.

· Conduct ethical screening and due diligence research on prospects and donors to ensure compliance with DNDi's policies.

· Ensure compliance with data protection regulations in relation to data processing and use of prospect management tools.

6. Resourcing:

· Manage relationships with relevant external suppliers, including contractual and budgetary aspects, and oversee the use of prospect management tools.

· Monitor expenditure related to prospect research resources and make recommendations for resource optimization.

Key responsibilities involve managing a direct caseload of complex employee relations cases, including leading on liaison with ACAS, external investigators, and legal advisors, and preparing for and attending Employment Tribunals. Further core objectives include leading the drafting of new/revisions to people policies, consultation and negotiation with relevant stakeholders, and the communication and embedding of new/revised practices across the workforce. The Senior People Partner will further build and maintain effective working relationships with the senior leadership team, acting as an expert strategic adviser on a range of employee relations matters and as a point of escalation for employee relations enquiries emerging from other teams, actively coaching, supporting, and mentoring colleagues to grow team capability and support development. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing an HR case work portfolio, which includes conducting discipline and grievance investigations, hearings and appeals, and ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunals, as well as overseeing attendance and performance management processes. Established success in coaching managers and leaders on various HR matters is essential to this role, empowering them to manage risk, resolve conflict, support their team members to excel at work, and foster cohesion and trust within a hybrid workforce. The postholder will have experience and interest in managing employee wellbeing and diversity and inclusion initiatives; be CIPD qualified; have excellent and adaptable organisation, communication and interpersonal skills; and will enjoy working with a variety of people, with a strong ability to listen effectively.

This is a full-time, permanent role in Band 4 – Senior Management and Senior Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, working 5 days between the hours of 9am-5pm, although due to the nature of the work, some flexibility may be required.

About the role

This is your opportunity to play a part in the day to day running of our CRM team and to really make your mark here at Shelter. You’ll be working closely with the Head of CRM and the CRM Manager, alongside another CRM Executive and will be responsible for delivering our email communications for Shelter, building the data selections and workflows from scratch and utilizing dynamic content, as well as fulfilling data briefs for other channels.

You’ll also be the go-to person for expert understanding of how campaigns and supporter journeys should be built within Adobe Campaign as well as understand the data held to ensure it is being leveraged appropriately. Along the way, you’ll get to collaborate with colleagues in Fundraising, Campaigns, Retail, Services, Data Management and Insight, IT and Research as you do all you can to ensure we deliver the very best supporter communications.

About you

To succeed, you’ll need a firm grasp of the CRM tech landscape, including list management, segmentation and dynamic content, with experience of Adobe Campaign, Adobe Classic or a similar platform being essential. We’re looking for substantial experience in a CRM role with significant output and a proven track record of building and deploying complex automated journeys.

You’ll have good understanding of email marketing best practices, and the ability to edit email templates in HTML is desirable. Additionally, experience using Litmus (or something similar), as well as data selection experience, would be desirable.

What is for certain though is that you’re well-organised, have strong attention to detail, and can manage your time effectively as well as being used to building dynamic content within a template and building segments and audiences.

You’ll be playing a big part not only in our team but within the wider organisation as we look to use CRM more and more.

Universify Education is looking for an organised and adaptable Programme Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in project management and working with young people to expand the charity’s programmes and work in a small charity.

Job Summary

• Contract type: Permanent, full-time.

The Charity

Universify exists to create a fairer, more equal society where every young person can fulfil their potential regardless of their background. We equip young people from low socio-economic and underrepresented backgrounds with the skills, knowledge, and belief to fulfil their potential through education.

We work with Year 10-11 students (aged 14-16) to increase their aspirations, improve GCSE attainment and to gain a greater understanding of post-18 pathways, particularly university, to make a more informed decision about their future. We run a year-long programme, starting with a week-long summer residential at partner universities, monthly coaching sessions with Universify coaches and a 3-day GCSE-focused revision residential at Spring.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Programme Manager, you will manage the Programme Team to deliver the charity’s annual residential and coaching programme and impact reporting. You will act as the primary relationship holder for all existing major programme partners, including universities and other third sector organisations. During programme delivery, you will be a part of the team’s Safeguarding Leads and work with the Programme Team to ensure the safety and care of our participants.

You will report to the CEO and work with them to build relationships with new partners, and develop the charity’s ability to expand the programme by considering its impact data, needs of partners and stakeholders, and any changes to its programme model. You will also maintain the charity’s CRM and improve programme efficiency. As the Programme Manager, you will be involved in events, fundraising activities and publicity, including supporting the Comms officer.

Main Duties

• Oversee programme delivery, including line managing the Programme Team (3 staff)
• Manage existing programme partnerships (universities, third sector organisations) and build new relationships alongside the CEO
• Manage and deliver external programmes including the Royal National Children’s Springboard Foundation partnership programme
• Project manage impact reporting, defining data requirements, overseeing data collection and analysis, and writing the impact report
• Work with the Communications Officer and CEO to enhance the charity’s publicity including social media, in-person events, and publicity campaigns
