At Ambitious about Autism, we are currently looking for a Trust Fundraiser to join our team.

This role will be a key part of our Philanthropy team, working on securing funding from charitable trusts and foundations with the capacity to give up to £30,000. The Philanthropy team is highly regarded, consistently bringing in over half of our organisation's total voluntary income.

You'll research, identify and drive forward new income opportunities, maintain relationships with existing donors and ensure our supporters have an excellent experience through giving to us. You'll deliver high quality, written applications and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines and keep in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and in face-to-face meetings and visits.

We are looking for someone who has:

• The ability to manage a task or project from conception to completion and meeting set deadlines
• The ability to engage, inspire, manage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively to generate income in line with the organisational strategy
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills in order to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment

In this exciting role you will work within the small Communciations & Fundraising Team to maximise income generation from individual givers through your ability to manage outstanding supporter care, accurate database management and targeted marketing via email, post, and social media.

You will hold key responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of all our fundraising and marketing data and be responsible for ensuring the correct targeting of all marketing approaches. You will work closely with, and in support of all other members of the Fundraising and Communications teams. If you have experience of managing volunteers, all the better.

You will conduct and present excellent analysis on all marketing activity with clear recommendations for improvements to fundraising communications alongside donor/donation and database management.

Using your CRM and database knowledge, you can play a key role in the management of donor management but also the wider data support for the charity. it is an exciting time at Doctors of the World, with a diverse portfolio of projects supporting those who are excluded from health in the UK.

Fundraising Manager

Domestic abuse is always unacceptable. We support everyone affected by it and we act to prevent it. As the Fundraising Manager for Behind Closed Doors, you will play a key role in developing and delivering a fundraising strategy aligned with the organisation’s vision, mission and values. This is an exciting and varied role with an opportunity for the post-holder to put their own stamp on it. As our Fundraising Manager, you will build on existing relationships with individual donors, community groups and corporate partners, as well as seeking new opportunities.

This role would best suit a creative and strategic mind who enjoys building relationships and inspiring others towards a united vision: to build lives free from domestic abuse. You will be joining a committed and dynamic team; line managing the Training and Development Coordinator, working within the senior management team and reporting to the CEO.

Welfare Rights Adviser 

Department - Support hub

Salary £32,445 per annum ( £19,467 pro rata for part time) 

Hours of work 22.5 hours a week over three days.

Base Hybrid working for the foreseeable future with regular attendance to the office at least 2 days week at Royal Free Charity, The Pears Building, Pond Street, London, NW3 2PP and Royal Free Hospital- Support Hub

The role

The welfare rights adviser will report to the welfare rights supervisor.

The welfare rights adviser  will be supporting people affected by long term health issues with financial challenges, supporting with benefit and housing advice, and referring on for further support where appropriate. 

Experience as a welfare rights adviser, including managing your own casework, is essential when applying for this role.

Principal accountabilities / responsibilities: -

Welfare rights advice and casework

· To provide welfare rights advice and casework for people affected by long-term health conditions, including inpatients, outpatients, and carers.

· To work at least two days per week on site, mainly based at the Royal Free Hospital or the Royal Free Charity office

· To provide advice and support primarily on welfare benefits and housing matters (that do not require a solicitor).

· To check whether clients are in receipt of all the benefits they are entitled to and help them claim relevant benefits.

· To help clients understand benefit decisions and challenge them (where appropriate) by way of mandatory reconsiderations and appeals.

· To help clients ensure they keep to their responsibilities in respect of their benefit claims, for example by notifying any relevant changes of circumstances.

· To refer or signpost clients to other agencies or departments as appropriate, e.g., housing solicitors; community care cases involving social services and NHS duties, FCA-regulated debt and immigration services.

· To signpost or refer to other services that might be valuable to a client such as condition specific charities, mental health support, or offerings in the local community that would improve their health and wellbeing.

· As part of this role, there may be some advice given to NHS staff.

· There may also be some involvement in new advice projects

· There will also be some triaging new referrals as part of this role

The support hub department is here to support people affected by long term health conditions (patients and carers), to help them with the practicalities of living with a chronic condition; to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

We aim to play our part in addressing inequalities in health, through supporting with the wider determinants of health (e.g., finances, housing); areas which can have a direct impact on someone’s health outcomes and recovery. A key part of your role will be to lead our team of supporter-facing Fundraising Executives and ensure they provide consistent and exceptional supporter stewardship to our incredible fundraisers.
