Senior Individual Giving Officer
Location: Hybrid working part London Office (Islington, London) part home work. The post holder will work a minimum of one day per week in the office.
Salary: £34,525 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
This is a full-time permanent position.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our growing Individual Giving Team as a Senior Individual Giving Officer. You will work on creating our Individual Giving appeals, writing compelling communications which will inspire and drive income. You should have experience of working in a charity environment, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines and budgets.
Experience required
- Managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment.
- Leading projects from start to finish within given budgets and timescales.
- Creating compelling and professional communications for a variety of audiences and channels.
- Analysing campaign results and using insight to optimise future campaigns.
- Collaborative working with multiple internal and external partners to deliver campaigns.

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You will:
- Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products
- Co-ordinate key engagement activity, such as the annual supporter Thankathon and Impact Report
- Oversee administration and stewardship of individual giving income
- Manage the promotion, sale and distribution of Lullaby Trust merchandise
This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary; the two salary ranges above reflect this. The 21 hours could be worked across 3-5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Executive – Volunteering and Operations, you will take on a varied role at the Charity Hub, including:

About the role

What we want from you

JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an agile, creative, and proactive team player who can join us as a Digital Acquisition and Mobilisation Manager within the digital fundraising team.
Working closely with the Head of Digital Fundraising, you will lead and deliver a multichannel acquisition strategy to mobilise and inspire new and existing donors to take action and donate. Collaborating with the wider fundraising and communications teams, you will produce creative campaigns and content across a variety of channels – with a focus on digital donor acquisition and lead generation– to help grow our donor base, increase lifetime value and generate vital funds for families forced to flee. Role Responsibilities
- Lead digital donor acquisition activities and journeys across a variety of channels including paid social, paid search, display, email and telemarketing.
- Develop and implement a lead generation strategy to grow our supporter base, utilising and testing tools and tactics such as quizzes, petitions and hand-raisers to recruit and convert new leads and engage existing donors.
- Collaborate closely with fundraising and communications colleagues to deliver and optimise integrated, multichannel campaigns and effective, donor-first journeys to mobilise and inspire new and existing supporters to take action and donate.
- Ensure all activities are aligned with strategic objectives, managing the multi-million-pound income and expenditure budget for digital acquisition and lead generation.
- Actively test and optimise new products, channels and propositions to maximise fundraising and engagement opportunities, analysing progress and results.

What the job involves
Our sector leading Events and Community fundraising team raises funds (circa £12M) for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of Community, Sporting Events and Virtual Products, including our flagship walking event, March for Men. Since 2020 the team have experienced income growth of 35%, and we’re proud that our activity has been recognised across the sector, by featuring in the Massive Top 25 for five consecutive years.
Along with recruiting teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon, we also deliver two-charity owned cycling events, the Grand Depart Classic and the Big Blue Bike Ride.
In the role of Sporting Events Manager, you’ll lead on the growth strategy and delivery of our flagship walking event; March for Men, with a key focus on co-creating and delivering a robust marketing plan. You'll be accountable for the performance of the event, ensuring that all stakeholders meet their responsibilities and deadlines to drive fundraising income. Your other key focus will be managing and working with an external delivery partner to ensure the event is delivered to the highest possible standard.
In addition to the delivery of March for Men, you’ll support the Assistant Head of Events and Community Fundraising to ensure we maximise income from our Third-Party programme of walking, running and cycling activities, whilst line managing members of the team.
This role will cover all aspects from; developing a strategy, leading project meetings, setting budgets, creating marketing plans, organising event logistics, and delivering event weekend support. Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events, including our Partnerships fundraising and Volunteer Engagement team.
Working with our Communications directorate, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with our key supporters, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us after completing their event.
