The Director of Growth, Impact and Partnerships will provide strategic leadership for growth, partnerships, engagement and impact across Ormiston Families.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will help turn strategy into action by building strong partnerships, growing sustainable income, strengthening organisational influence and ensuring the organisation has the relationships, reputation, resources and insight needed to increase its reach, deepen its impact and deliver its long-term ambitions. 

The postholder will also play a central role in delivering Ormiston Families' organisational change journey, helping us grow well. The main duties of this role include: 

• Setting and delivering an ambitious, evidence-informed strategy for income growth, engagement and impact.
• Supporting the delivery of the organisation's Purpose, People, Process and Performance agenda, ensuring growth, engagement, impact and partnerships contribute to organisational effectiveness and long-term sustainability. 
• Championing the development of organisational insight, performance measures and impact reporting that support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Representing Ormiston Families externally, building credibility, influence and strategic relationships with key stakeholders, partners, commissioners, funders and sector leaders.
• Leading the directorate to deliver annual income targets, long-term growth plans and high-quality supporter experiences.
• Developing existing income streams and identify new opportunities, products, partnerships and channels.
• Building and influencing strategic partnerships across the charity, public, education, health, community and commercial sectors to increase impact, reach and sustainability
• Overseeing integrated marketing and communications activity that builds awareness, reputation and engagement. 
• Ensuring Ormiston Families’ story is told with clarity, warmth and impact, grounded in the experiences of children, young people and families.

We are seeking a Director of Operations to take on a new senior strategic leadership role that will play a key part in the future direction and long-term sustainability of the organisation.

• Senior strategic leadership experience in a complex organisation, with responsibility for multiple operational and enabling functions.
• Strong financial acumen, including the ability to oversee budgets, interpret financial data and communicate financial matters clearly to senior leaders and Trustees.
• Experience of organisational change, transformation and continuous improvement.
• Experience of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.

About the role

As the Community Events and Partnerships Manager, you will play a key role in growing sustainable income and supporter engagement for Challengers.

Leading the community, corporate & events team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious programme of community fundraising, challenge events, partnerships and supporter engagement activities.

You will ensure supporters receive an exceptional experience throughout their journey with Challengers, building long-term relationships that maximise impact, retention and income.

We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in Gwent working 25 hours per week on a fixed term basis until March 2027 (due to the funding requirements this must be over 5 days Monday – Friday).

This is a community-based role involving regular travel across the Newport, South Walesarea including local home visits, meetings, and direct support, with the flexibility to work from home based on business and community needs.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

We have an amazing opportunity to join us at the Alzheimer’s Society and be part of the Gwent Dementia Support Service as a Dementia Adviser in the Newport Hub. The Dementia Support Service provides personalised advice, guidance and support to people living with dementia and their carers. We have 5 Dementia Hubs across each of the five local authorities within Gwent (Hub locations: Abergavenny, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran and Ebbw Vale). As a Dementia Adviser covering the Dementia Hubs, you will work closely with other Dementia Advisors, third sector agencies, as well as representatives from Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Local Authorities and other local organisations. you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and promotion of the hubs

The Dementia Hubs are located in community venues and offer open access for anyone looking for Information, Assistance or Advice about memory concerns and/or Dementia. This may be individuals, carers or family members, or professionals. The support/information required is unique to each individual, as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs.

As a Dementia Adviser within the Hubs, you will have the rewarding opportunity to support the development of the service offer based on feedback from partner agencies and those attending the hub. By providing this early intervention, we can help people seek support from the appropriate agency, understand their type of dementia, manage ongoing daily living needs, take control of their health and wellbeing and provide access to relevant local services. This could include referring on to one of our internal services. Our wider team of Dementia Adviser’s support people in their homes, being able to interact face to face, over the telephone and virtually, helping to give people the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future.

We also provide peer support services to ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support they need whilst enjoying meaningful and engaging activities. As a Dementia Adviser within the hubs, you will promote these peer support services, as well as those run by partner agencies, whilst bringing an enthusiastic and positive approach to the role.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you.

About you

You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.
- Experience providing information, guidance, advice or emotional support - this could be from health, social care, community, voluntary, customer service or other people focused roles.
- You will be able to listen and communicate, with the ability to build trust and rapport with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- The ability to manage your workload effectively, with appropriate support and tools, and to balance competing priorities.
- Confidence using IT systems to maintain accurate and confidential records.
- A compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach, with respect for diversity and individual lived experiences.
- The ability to travel independently across Caerphilly and wider on occasions.
- The confidence and ability to communicate with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding. You will be required to speak publicly at events about dementia, delivering information and signposting people to further resources and networks.

This is a community-based role involving regular travel across the Coventry area including local home visits, meetings and supporting and facilitating a range of society groups, including the delivery of awareness raising talks and dementia friends’ sessions with the flexibility to work from home based on business and community needs.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.
Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you. We provide training and ongoing support.

Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, we’re looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our small team at a critical growth point to build and deliver a Trusts Fundraising Strategy (currently projected to generate c.£600K in 2027) laying the groundwork for long term, sustainable income generation as part of our wider Fundraising Strategy.

This is a new role for someone with substantial experience working in Trusts Fundraising, as well as strong project development skills, who can take our fledgling portfolio of funders and transform it into a pool of engaged supporters invested in MRF’s work in the long-term. You will have a demonstrable track record of securing five-six figure sums, the ability to create propositions in collaboration with programmatic colleagues, and the confidence to present compelling cases for support to a range of philanthropic organisations. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a keen eye for connecting philanthropic organisations to the right projects to develop meaningful relationships, and the skills to deliver high-quality, detailed bids to further our strategic objectives.

We're particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience working in one or more of the following areas: online safety, tech accountability, suicide prevention, education or children’s mental health.

THE ROLE

The postholder will support the Prevention Coordinator to ensure events are delivered safely and effectively.

They will offer information, advice and guidance to people facing issues that are currently or may soon affect their housing security — delivering swift, impactful interventions that help reduce the risk of homelessness, and advocating and mediating on clients' behalf as they navigate complex bureaucratic systems. This role involves building meaningful relationships with some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, connecting them with the Welfare Benefits, Housing Allocations, Citizens Advice, mental health and substance misuse support they need and deserve.

The postholder will work closely with a wide range of partners, including homelessness service providers, local authorities, and healthcare and wellbeing organisations. They will carry a varied caseload, conducting assessments and working creatively to navigate the complex and challenging issues that can lead to clients becoming homeless, supporting them to engage with services. Working closely with SPEAR's Homeless Health Link Team, they will support colleagues with client-facing work and carry a caseload of clients requiring homelessness prevention support.

This role will be spread across 4 days per week.
