In this rewarding role, you’ll be the single point of contact for adult patients preparing for discharge from the hospital. You’ll work closely with the Adult Social Care team, health professionals, hospital practitioners, and community services to:

• Identify needs and barriers to safe discharge

About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in the Beam Park Health Centre in Rainham, Barking and Dagenham, working 35 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. What you’ll be doing

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  

You will spend up to 65% of your week working in the community of Barking and Dagenham to provide localised support to residents of the Borough.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

The Role

We’re excited to be creating a new Head of People role to support the next phase of our charity’s development. The role provides strategic leadership, expert input and operational oversight of CoppaFeel!’s people, culture and employment practices, aligned with organisational strategy, values and governance.

Blending strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, the role operates with professional autonomy within the People remit and works in close partnership with the Director of Operations, who retains overall accountability. We are looking for a dynamic Programme Manager. The post-holder will play a key role in managing specific programme and partnership activities in partnership countries such as the Gambia, Kenya and Sierra Leone as well as project management, monitoring and reporting for our cross-partnerships strategic project on strengthening health systems through strengthened postgraduate medical education of health worker.

The Tech and Economic Project Lead will provide specialist support and safety-planning to survivors of all forms of gender-based abuse and their children. 

This is an exciting role with scope for learning and development, training opportunities, and partnership work. The post holder will play a key part in continuing to develop this external partnership, representing Refuge, and building strong and sustainable relationships to promote a collaborative approach to reaching the best outcomes for survivors of abuse.

Transparency International (UK) is looking for an Advocacy Officer

You will be responsible for providing advocacy support to the UK Team, including by drafting and delivering high-level communications, participating in meetings with key stakeholders, and contributing to the planning and implementation of advocacy projects in relation to established objectives.

The Advocacy Officer will report to the Senior Policy Manager - Westminster and perform this within the UK Programme.

Main responsibilities

• Provide advocacy support to the UK Team to produce real-world change, including by drafting and delivering high-level communications (written and oral policy briefings, letters, blogs etc.) and participating effectively in meetings with key stakeholders (MPs, councillors, government officials, private sector allies, civil society colleagues etc.)

• Contribute to the planning and implementation of advocacy projects and events in relation to established objectives.

• Stay abreast of policy developments, news stories, political developments and new research in relation to our work, identifying possible advocacy opportunities for the team.

• Build and maintain positive and fruitful relationships with key stakeholders such as civil society and other partners, parliamentarians and government officials.

• Provide ad hoc programme support where needed, which may include providing administrative and logistic support in organising, planning, recording and coordinating meetings, providing follow-up support, as well as collecting monitoring, evaluation and learning data

• Contribute to the UK Team’s event planning and delivery, providing logistical support

Who we are looking for

• Demonstrable experience in a policy or advocacy role

• A track record of developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to produce change, ideally with parliamentarians, government officials or civil society organisations.

• The ability to nurture and develop professional relationships and work collaboratively and professionally.

• The ability to think quickly and innovatively to solve complex and difficult issues, both independently and in collaboration with others.

• Strong written communication and verbal presentation skills with ability to draft and deliver high quality persuasive briefings, reports and presentations with minimal supervision
