Alliance Publishing Trust (APT) aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas among people in philanthropy working for social change. We aspire to contribute to building an effective, accountable and thriving philanthropy field by being a ‘critical friend’ to philanthropy worldwide. 

To do this we produce Alliance magazine, the leading quarterly publication for philanthropy and social investment worldwide and respected in the sector for nearly thirty years. The role

In order to fulfil its mission of providing coverage of global philanthropy, Alliance Publishing Trust actively partners with philanthropy organisations worldwide. These partnerships provide real benefits to our partners as well as expanded visibility of our work, coverage of global philanthropy events and help to grow the readership of Alliance magazine. Working alongside the Networks & Engagement Lead, you - as Partnerships Manager - will be the lead for Alliance’s existing partnerships, ensuring they are delivered, reviewing their impact and deepening our relationships with them. You will also scope and cultivate new partnerships that are in line with the wider objectives of the organisation.

At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our Fundraising team.

You'll drive the growth of our income from trusts and foundations. You will manage and develop an increasingly diverse portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations and Grantmakers, in the £20,000 - £100,000 funding range. You'll identify and implement new high-value income opportunities, as well as building on and managing existing high-value relationships.

You'll develop and submit high quality funding applications, focusing primarily on high-value bids, advising and guiding colleagues on the development of project plans, project budgets and identifying outputs and outcomes. You'll ennsure funders receive the appropriate level of acknowledgement and recognition and feedback on the monitoring of inputs, outputs and outcomes, in line with their specific requirements.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Considerable experience of high-value trusts fundraising in the £20,000 - £100,000 grant range.
• Experience of establishing and managing effective relationships with decision-makers within high-value trusts and statutory bodies
• Excellent writing skills, and extensive knowledge of how to write a compelling, winning large 5-figure bid.
• Extensive knowledge of monitoring processes utilised by grant funders and understanding of outcomes and impact approaches

5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help us address this neglected area of global health? 

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address over 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child. 

With 142 Member Societies made up of anaesthesiologists in 151 countries, the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is uniquely placed to influence these inequalities and help ensure universal access to safe surgery and safe anaesthesia.

As Governance Manager you will be responsible for delivering a high quality, professional, and effective governance service across the Federation and associated entities. You will work closely with our CEO, Governance & Programmes Officer, Board and other volunteers and leaders as required to deliver a number of key governance activities. This includes virtual and in-person meetings of the WFSA Board, Council, and General Assembly.

You will contribute to the expanding governance functions of the Federation family, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving organisational efficiency, and enhancing leadership communication and collaboration. There may also be a degree of mentoring and support for some of our smaller Member Societies wishing to improve their own governance functions. 

The role necessitates building effective working relationships across WFSA, including with Board, Council and Committee members, as well as the Secretariat (what we call our staff team).

Hybrid working is offered with up to three days per week able to be worked remotely and two days spent in our small office in North London. The role will involve some international travel and evening/weekend hours at times. 

WFSA is registered as a legal entity (an association) in the Netherlands. Through this Dutch registration, WFSA also holds not-for-profit status with tax exemption in the USA (known as: 501(c)3 status). The Federation is headquartered in the United Kingdom. Since 2016, WFSA has also had a separate humanitarian arm, “WFSA (UK)”, which is registered as a charitable company in England & Wales. In early 2025, a further related association was set up in Switzerland; this focuses on world congress delivery and fundraising from a European market.

Job Purpose

• This role will drive effective adoption and utilisation of digital platforms across Good Law Project, via providing knowledge and hands-on technical skills to enable campaigners and fundraisers to get the best out of these systems, guiding staff to implement best practice, and comprehensive training to empower colleagues.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

What does this role do?
As Legacy Campaign Manager, you will:

• work closely with external agencies to deliver key legacy products, including gifts in wills, In Memoriam gifts and our Canine Care Card,
• creatively bring our brand message to life, communicating products to potential supporters through direct mail, and digital updates,

Independent Age is the national charity focused on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. We believe no one should face financial hardship in later life.

Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.

This role is an exciting opportunity to play a key role providing expert analysis and conducting research on the high essential costs facing older people in financial hardship and advocating for policy change in this area.  As part of the Policy and Influencing directorate, you will contribute to strategic thinking, lead research and policy development projects using a range of methods and work across the directorate to build relationships and secure change. 

You should have experience of driving forward a policy theme, including identifying policy problems, developing credible  and evidence based solutions and working towards securing change.  Strong research and analysis skills are essential, with excellent communication and project management skills.  We are looking for experience of working independently as well as collaborating effectively across a high performing influencing function.  Most importantly, a passion to change things for older people experiencing financial hardship, and the confidence to hear and incorporate their perspectives and insights into your work mean that this role could be for you.

Job Title: Support Mentor (Nights)

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 21:00 - 09:00 on a 6 week rolling rota which includes at least one day shift per week, weekends, and bank holidays. 

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants.
• Be a present member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who’ve experienced homelessness and may have complex needs. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs. Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location:  Latimer Road, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) - Walking distance from Latimer Road underground station (Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines). Please note that unfortunately this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £34,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. Some flexibility maybe required depending on the needs of the service. 

About the role

As Deputy Service Manager, you’ll support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery. You’ll be a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled and confident in their roles. This service supports residents who have experienced long term street homelessness with challenges such as mental health issues, substance use and alcohol dependency. You’ll help create a positive, supportive environment where both staff and residents can thrive and residents can work towards recovery and greater independence.

You will be working within a 24 hour service which provides person centred support to our residents. Some key responsibilities include:

• Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service.
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed.
• Property and housing management, ensuring accommodation standards, timely maintenance and reporting.
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management.
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
• Striving to ensure excellence and quality in our service delivery.

About you

We're looking for someone who’s driven to provide high quality, person centred support to staff, colleagues, residents and participants. You enjoy working as part of a team, communicating well and building strong relationships with people from all backgrounds. You're confident supporting service level enquiries, offering advice on employment matters and resident or participant queries. Most importantly, you're compassionate, supportive and thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

• Provide high quality support and line management to staff.
• Support the Service Manager and help manage staff with daily tasks, caseloads and overall day to day running of the service.
• Oversee and undertake regular audits of service delivery.
• Provide emergency on call service and ensure staffing levels are adequate.
• Support residents and participants to build independence by offering advice, guidance and a positive environment.
• Be an active team member by joining support sessions, workshops, and local events as needed.
• Financial Management - budgets, cost control and general financial management.
• Deliver a service working in partnership with other voluntary and statutory agencies.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. This new role will play a key part in overseeing all financial operations of the organisation, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and transparency across our financial systems.

Working closely with the Director of Finance & Resources, the role holder will support the organisation in budgeting, forecasting, and year-end preparation. They will also contribute to strategic planning and performance monitoring alongside the wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

About You

You’ll be a qualified (or part-qualified) accountant or have equivalent experience, with a strong grasp of financial management and reporting in a dynamic environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

• A relevant professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
• Experience gained in a financial management role within a small or medium-sized organisation
• Experience in business planning, performance management, or impact reporting 
• Strong IT skills, particularly with accounting software and Excel
• Understanding of charity finance and accounting practices
• Strong understanding of charity law, governance best practices, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication, minute-taking, and document management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
