Project Worker 1 Volunteer Coordinator

We are looking for a dynamic person to coordinate the volunteers within Barking and Dagenham, is this YOU?

You will be working within the Barking and Dagenham Children and Family Health Service (Universal 0-19).  NELFT delivers the Healthy Child Programme in partnership with Barnardo's.  Our teams are fully integrated consisting of Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Staff Nurses, Clinical Support Workers, Community Nursery Nurses and Administrators.  This role will work alongside colleagues within our Healthy Child Teams.

Tasks required

• Support the growth and development of our volunteer community

About the role

• The Head of Funding and Programme Development will shape Saferworld’s income profile in alignment with our organisational strategy and change process. The post-holder will lead the development and implementation of Saferworld’s funding strategy, ensuring it supports our strategic, programmatic and operational priorities.
• The role will focus on strengthening the quality, flexibility and diversity of Saferworld’s funding base, nurturing relationships with strategic institutional donors, growing philanthropic funding, and identifying new income opportunities.
• This is an exciting opportunity to influence Saferworld’s fundraising and programme development approach during a pivotal period for the organisation. The role will line-manage a small team across programme development, philanthropy and funding.

Key responsibilities

• As part of Saferworld’s senior leadership, you will support organisation-wide initiatives and contribute to strategic decision-making. You will monitor funding trends, identify emerging issues relevant to Saferworld’s work and partnership approaches, and develop appropriate strategies to respond.
• Working closely with the Senior Operations Team, you will ensure funding plans are developed across business units and thematic/regional areas, and that income pipelines are maintained while quality assurance and active cost recovery are proactively pursued. You will oversee the funding and prospects pipeline, produce data and analysis to support decision-making, and provide regular reporting to senior leaders and the Board.

• You will line-manage the Funding and Programme Development Team and foster an environment where staff feel empowered, take responsibility and are accountable for achieving organisational objectives.
• You will ensure the team facilitates strong participatory programme design and proposal development with partners and staff, embedding Saferworld’s organisational values and principles. About you

• You will bring proven senior leadership experience in funding, with a track record of developing and implementing funding strategies and raising income through a range of donors, including individuals, institutions, trusts and foundations. You will also have experience securing high-value contracts and grants of seven figures.
• You will have strong experience of leading complex participatory programme design, including developing budgets, monitoring frameworks and proposals. You will be confident coordinating programme development processes with multiple teams and partners to ensure a collaborative and inclusive approach.
• You will have a proven track record of motivating, mentoring and managing a team, and supporting that team to think creatively about fundraising. You will also be confident developing networks, building alliances, and nurturing relationships with individuals, collaborators and funders.
• You will bring a strong understanding of key political, development and humanitarian trends and debates, particularly linked to peacebuilding, development, human rights, governance, and security and justice. You will also have sound knowledge of UK civil society and charity regulatory requirements, and an understanding of the current international aid, peacebuilding and human rights funding environment.
• Experience of working and/or living in conflict-affected contexts, and understanding of peacebuilding and conflict prevention, are desirable.

The Organisation
Our client is a mission-driven programme dedicated to supporting community-led change and place-based development. Working in close partnership with local communities, funders and stakeholders, they help people take control of their town's future - connecting local energy and ideas, and ensuring long-term funding flows to what matters most, as decided by the people who live there. In Grimsby, this includes the Growing Together Fund, a new, independent community fund being developed. Their approach is rooted in local knowledge, relationships and trust.

As the programme moves into a critical delivery phase, Prospectus is delighted to be working them to recruit and experienced Fund Coordinator to help ensure its work runs smoothly and effectively. This role is offered on a 6 month contract, working remotely with regular travel to Grimsby and London.

The Role
As Fund Coordinator, you will play a central role in holding together the operational delivery of several grant programmes. You will coordinate day-to-day activity, making sure design sessions are progressed efficiently and key programme milestones are met. You will support the preparation of clear and accessible application materials, manage incoming queries from applicants and community decision-makers, and help coordinate assessment panels and forums.

Alongside delivery, you will take responsibility for events coordination, including liaising with fund decision makers and helping to prepare in advance for future rounds. You will also maintain oversight of the programme budgets, keeping track of expenditure, highlighting any variances and assisting with financial reporting where necessary.

The role also offers exposure to fundraising and communications. You will support the development of funding materials, help manage funder relationships and pipeline tracking, in addition to contributing to capturing programme learning and informing strategy documentation. Working closely with the Fund Lead, your work will enable senior colleagues to focus on strategic priorities by ensuring strong day to day coordination and reliable support across the programme.

The Person
You will be a highly organised and committed charity sector professional with exposure ideally to grant-making or fundraising, who is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will have strong events and programme support experience and will be confident keeping complex, demanding workstreams on track and to tight deadlines. Your written communication will be clear and concise, allowing you to produce accurate and compelling summaries, guidance materials and correspondence.

You will be numerate and comfortable keeping budget trackers up to date. You will be proactive and solutions driven in your approach, able to identify what needs to be done and to take ownership of making it happen. You will also be confident in exercising sound judgement and diplomacy when escalating issues at appropriate times.

You will have experience of working collaboratively and remotely within a small, busy team and will be able to step up and represent the organisation when the Fund Lead is not available. Importantly, you will have a genuine interest in community-led change and civic collaborative approaches to community development.

We are now seeking an organised and proactive Visually Impaired Cricket Development Officer to join our People & Programmes directorate. You will deliver and coordinate Super 1s VI community hubs in targeted areas, ensuring sessions are inclusive and accessible for young people aged 8–25 with a visual impairment, and support the delivery of a year-round programme that promotes positive social outcomes, helping young people build confidence, skills and connections through cricket.

The Role

The Visually Impaired Cricket Development Officer will give more young people with a visual impairment the chance to play cricket regularly by growing and delivering the Super 1s programme in targeted areas, attracting new participants, and supporting coaches to build their skills and confidence.

The GAMH Research, Policy and Advocacy Officer is a new post that will play a central role in advancing GAMH’s global policy and advocacy agenda, helping to strengthen and elevate the focus on the health and wellbeing of men within national, regional and global policy environments. The postholder will design and deliver policy advocacy initiatives, generate high-quality research, write reports and publications, support project coordination, engage stakeholders and partners, and support communications to influence decision-makers aimed at improving health and wellbeing outcomes for men and boys within a gender equality framework. The position will work across all GAMH workstreams, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programmes.

This exciting new role will is being created at a time of organisational expansion and growing interest in men’s health worldwide. It will require attendance at meetings in London and the South East of England and occasional European/international travel will also be required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Policy Advocacy and Campaign Development

• Develop and contribute to GAMH’s policy positions and advocacy on key men’s health issues, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and HPV.
• Monitor and analyse key policy developments relevant to men’s health and the work of GAMH across prevention, early diagnosis, screening, treatment, and support.
• Support the design and delivery of advocacy strategies and campaigns targeting policymakers, professional societies, international non-governmental organisations and other international bodies.
• Support coalition and network building by GAMH to strengthen policy responses on men’s health.
• Prepare policy briefings and advocacy materials.

2. Research, Analysis and Writing

• Conduct and synthesise research on men’s health issues, including policy analysis, epidemiology, and literature reviews.
• Write high-quality accessible reports, evidence summaries, position papers and publications to support GAMH’s work.
• Identify relevant gaps in policy data and evidence relating to men’s health. 

3. Project Coordination and support

• Manage the development of a European Men’s Health report.
• Play a leading role in, and support, the development of GAMH’s Global Prostate Cancer Initiative and wider work on prostate cancer policy.

• Assist in the planning and delivery of other GAMH projects, as necessary.
• Contribute to funding proposals and reporting to donors.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

• Support the strengthening of GAMH engagement with national men’s health networks and its members, particularly in Europe.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across each of the relevant GAMH workstreams, including policymakers, non-governmental organisations, UN agencies, academics and researchers, patient organisations, professional bodies, advocates and industry.
• Represent GAMH at meetings, conferences, and events (as required).
• Attend and report to the GAMH Board of Trustees (as required)

A Support Worker will help to enable vulnerable people with complex support needs to manage their licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This role will be based at for Pound Lane, which is a high complex needs 24-hour service with same shift pattern.

The working pattern for this role is: - 5 days a week, working over a seven day pattern, weekends included. Shift pattern 8am-4am and late shift 1.30pm-9.30pm

What you'll do:
* Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader / Manager
* Oversee the daily running of the service ensuring all health and safety responsibilities are met
* Raise safeguarding alerts and complete incident reports within specified timeframe
* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions
* Create support/action plans for providing appropriate support based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available
* Support customers to undertake domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of living standards
* Support customers to move on from the service through their identified move on pathway liaising with our Resettlement Officer and Brent Housing team.

The Data, Evaluation and Learning team enables Impact on Urban Health to embed learning at the heart of its work, ensuring evidence is used to drive impact in Lambeth and Southwark and to advance understanding of urban health.
The Head of Data & Evaluation leads Impact on Urban Health’s approach to data, research, and evaluation, ensuring high-quality, equitable evidence informs what we fund, how we work, and how we understand impact. The role leads a specialist team, sets standards, and oversees the organisation’s core evidence base, helping ensure Impact on Urban Health is a credible and trusted source of insight on urban health.
The postholder will also provide expert input to other parts of the Foundation where relevant.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead on ensuring data and evaluation are embedded across our work, developing and overseeing the cycle from data and evidence inputs through to analysis and evaluation insights that inform decisions.
• Set the strategic direction for a programme of mixed-methods research, data analysis, and evaluation – that builds on existing evidence, helps us understand needs and impact, and that is equitable and proportionate.
• Design and oversee data and evaluation plans that generate insight for internal decision-making and external influencing, working with senior leaders across Impact on Urban Health.
• Lead Impact on Urban Health’s approach to evaluation, embedding evaluation and learning into delivery alongside programme and partner teams, and shaping how the organisation understands impact across complex and place-based work.

• Lead Impact on Urban Health’s approach to insight synthesis and sense-making, establishing clear processes for bringing together evaluation findings, programme learning, research, data, lived experience and external evidence to identify what we are learning, what it means, and how it should inform future decisions.

About the Role

The Senior Trust Officer is responsible for securing and managing significant income from charitable trusts and corporate partners to sustain and grow the Refugee Council’s services and advocacy work with and for refugees and people seeking asylum. Managing a portfolio of high-value trust and corporate partner relationships (independently up to £250,000 and supporting the wider philanthropy team for applications over £250,000), the role prepares compelling applications, pitches and reports, cultivates long-term partnerships, and ensures timely stewardship that reflects the organisation's impact and values.

• The Handyperson Job booker is a pivotal and busy role in the team receiving incoming referrals from a range of sources and scheduling these daily tasks to team members according to the needs of the service. We receive referrals from our four Hospital to Home services across East London (Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest), as well as self-referrals for smaller jobs for from Tower Hamlets residents.

• We also deliver projects in Havering in partnership with Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering, currently these are:

• Energy Doctors: delivering advice and installing small items to reduce energy usage and improve heating and wellbeing in the property.

• Ageing Well: installing grab rails and stair rails referred by NHS and Havering voluntary sector partners.

• Within the next 12 months, we will also be introducing a paid-for handyperson service which be available across our 3 core boroughs and the scheduling of work coordinated by this post.
