We are seeking an exceptional Homelessness Support Services Manager to lead and develop our growing homelessness and support services. This is a new senior leadership role created through the Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund (EHCF), which will expand our support offer and establish a new five-day Support Hub.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across our homelessness and support services. You will lead a dedicated team, oversee safeguarding and quality assurance, strengthen tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention work, develop partnerships across housing, health and the voluntary sector, and ensure services deliver meaningful outcomes for people facing homelessness, crisis and multiple disadvantage.

About the role

We are looking for someone to join our small Finance Team in a varied role covering day-to-day finance as well as project finance and reporting.The role could suit a recent graduate looking to start and develop a career in finance, someone already working in finance who is looking for their next step, or a part-qualified candidate looking to broaden their experience.

The salary within the £26,000 to £30,000 range will depend on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications and the level of responsibility they are able to take on. The role can be worked over four or five days per week.

The role will initially be shaped around the successful candidate's existing skills and experience. The core responsibilities will cover transactional finance and finance administration, with additional responsibilities across project accounting, reconciliations, budgets and financial reporting introduced depending on experience and development within the role.

We are a small team, so the role is varied and offers a good opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of finance activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the purchase ledger, including processing invoices in Sage, obtaining authorisations and dealing with supplier and internal queries.
• Apply the correct VAT treatment to invoices depending on the project. Training will be provided.
• Process staff expenses, checking receipts and supporting information and ensuring claims are authorised.
• Manage monthly timesheet authorisations and maintain accurate supporting records.

• Maintain project cashflows, including updating actual costs and forecasts, and work with Project Managers on budgets and finance queries.

At Woodgreen we are delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy to grow and optimise income, public support and awareness of our charity. To help us support and deliver our ambitious Individual Giving programme, we are looking for a driven Campaign Manager to join our Donor Engagement Team. 

Known internally as Engagement Campaign Manager our successful candidate will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver campaigns across multiple channels to generate income and increase the loyalty across a range of audiences.

They will;

• Project manage a range a of direct marketing campaigns, including direct mail, digital and telemarketing.
• Evaluate campaigns and provide recommendations.
• Report monthly on your campaigns against key performance indicators.
• Support the Senior Development Manager with the development of an annual budget, its quarterly reforecasting and monthly monitoring
• Support the Senior Development Manager with the development and implementation of a multi-audience engagement programme, in collaboration with teams across the Income and Engagement directorate.

With a background in fundraising you will also have experience of working across multi-channel campaigns and a proven track record of developing audiences and will be committed to delivering successful direct marketing campaigns that make an impact. You will be analytical and know how to use insight to optimise your campaigns and will be equally comfortable and confident with the development of creatives and working with external agencies.   

This is a full time hybrid role, working 37.5 hours per week.  Our Head Office is based in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire and our successful candidate will be expected, on average, to work from our site once or twice a month. The starting salary for this position is £36,665 - £44,812 per annum, depending on experience.  This is complemented by;

The Role

As a People and Payroll Assistant, you will provide a professional, accurate and responsive administration service across the charity. The role focuses on payroll and benefits administration, recruitment support, maintaining accurate employee data across People systems, and supporting wider People Team activity.

Supporting the People Officer, the post holder will play an important role in ensuring payroll, benefits, recruitment and employee records are administered accurately and within agreed timescales. This includes preparing documentation and letters, updating systems and employee files, following up outstanding information, responding to routine employee and manager queries, producing reports, and supporting activity linked to training, induction, wellbeing and inclusion.

Specifically, you will:

• Provide a professional HR administration service to managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle, in line with charity policies, procedures, employment law and good practice.

• Support regular employee drop-in sessions, for example on PDRs or Cezanne queries, helping to resolve issues at an early stage.

• Maintain accurate People system records, including annual leave, sickness absence, changes to terms and conditions and personal details.

• Keep People Team files, systems, intranet and public internet pages accurate, current and easy to navigate.

• Support the People Officer with monthly sickness absence monitoring, ensuring return-to-work meetings, formal reviews and fit notes are recorded and followed up where needed.

• Act as a People system superuser, providing guidance to new employees and responding to ad hoc system queries.

• Support recruitment administration as required, including using the charity ATS system, arranging interviews, communicating with candidates as required, coordinating interview IT requirements and assisting with pre-employment checks and shortlisting as appropriate.

• Lead day-to-day payroll administration, including preparing the monthly payroll submission, processing changes such as starters, leavers, contractual changes and overtime, monitoring sickness and maternity pay, issuing associated letters and ensuring records are retained for audit purposes.

• Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, pensions and salary exchange, maintaining accurate HR and provider records and responding to routine benefits queries.

• Follow up outstanding payroll and benefits information to ensure changes are processed within agreed timescales, escalating issues where required.

• Support employee engagement activity, including People Team communications, benefits presentations and wellbeing surveys, helping to promote organisational development and strategic aims.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be educated to A level standard, or equivalent, or able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role.

• To have a CIPD Level 3 qualification, with willingness to progress to Level 5, is desirable.

• Providing a specialist advice and advocacy service to the homeless guests of our services, which include partner day centres and night shelters through the winter season.

We are seeking a Roaming International Finance Manager to provide short- to medium-term finance cover and additional capacity across a global programme portfolio. This is a hands-on international finance role, supporting Programme Managers and country teams to manage financial risk, strengthen financial controls, and ensure effective delivery of standard financial operating procedures.

The role may also include the induction, training and capacity-building of new International Finance Managers and local finance teams.

The successful candidate will work across a range of country programmes, often in challenging or developing-country contexts, providing support on budgeting, donor reporting, financial planning, monthly close processes, cash management, statutory compliance, audit preparation and partner contract oversight. They will play a key role in ensuring financial systems, reporting and controls are robust, compliant and aligned with operational needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting country financial planning, forecasting and grant/contract budgeting.
• Monitoring grant and contract spend, including cost-to-completion and spend-out plans.
• Identifying and managing programme financial risks.
• Ensuring financial policies and standard operating procedures are implemented across programme locations.
• Overseeing monthly financial close and ledger accuracy.
• Preparing donor, client and country financial statements.
• Managing cash flow, banking arrangements and exchange-rate exposure.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience, with at least five years’ financial management experience, including two years overseas. Experience managing and developing small teams is essential.

This role would suit a practical, adaptable and culturally sensitive finance professional who is comfortable working both strategically and operationally, including in environments where living and working conditions may be basic.
