Open Up Music exists to open up music to young disabled people. We’re looking for an ambitious Head of Development to build the income and support that will help more young disabled musicians flourish.
We work alongside young disabled musicians to tackle inequality, develop accessible instruments, commission new music and reimagine music education and performance.
Our programmes include the National Open Youth Orchestra, the world’s first disabled-led national youth orchestra; Open Orchestras, the UK’s largest network of accessible school orchestras; and Clarion, a digital musical instrument that can be played using the movement of an eye, head or finger.

The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. This role is responsible for delivering Coeliac UK’s 5-year fundraising strategy to maximise return-on-investment, grow long term supporter value, and contribute to the charity’s mission.

Who are we looking for?
Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of role across multiple income streams, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser. Experience across other income streams and areas of fundraising delivery would be a huge benefit as the role leads community fundraising and events, will take on digital fundraising - currently led by the Chief Engagement Officer, as well as manage the data and supporter care functions, but experience in individual giving is essential as Coeliac UK has defined that as an area of priority income. We’re seeking a senior media and PR manager (fundraising and brand) to join our talented and ambitious media and PR team at an exciting time of growth for the charity.

SarcoidosisUK is a small charity with big ambitions! We want to make a difference to the lives of those affected by sarcoidosis in the UK by providing information and support, raising awareness and undertaking research into treatments and a cure. We currently support over 9,000 people online and have strong relationships with both clinicians and patients.
The charity receives no government funding, generating its income only from personal and corporate donations, grants, legacies and merchandise sales.
Funds raised are used to provide support services, grow awareness, operate the Nurse Helpline, and fund research activities. The need for support is growing, and we must raise £250,000 each year, part of this will be the Fundraising Executive’s responsibility.
Person
This is a varied role for someone who is enthusiastic and enjoys working with people managing multiple projects and a wide variety of tasks. No day is the same!
Ideally, you will have experience working in a fundraising role and be looking for an opportunity to broaden and deepen this. However, we will also consider applicants who have a background working in any community, events or relationship-led role.

Income from grant-making foundations is an important part of our income mix. The Trusts and Foundations Officer will focus on nurturing our existing trust partners, and identifying and approaching new funding prospects. Key Responsibilities:
Prospect research: Using a range of research resources and tools, you’ll identify and prioritise funders with the propensity and capacity to support our work
Grant writing: Working with colleagues, you’ll write authentic, compelling and targeted funding applications that inspire grant-makers to partner with us and provide high quality financial and other information they require.
Stewardship: You will ensure that our portfolio of ongoing / existing funders are stewarded well. This will involve producing timely funding reports, arranging project visits and providing ongoing information and contact.
You will engage with local businesses in order to grow Eastbourne Foodbank’s income from local businesses. You will develop, monitor and build on delivery of our existing trusts and foundations fundraising portfolio, and build our local business fundraising plan, to support our aim of generating in excess of £300k per annum.
You will research, monitor and maintain a trusts and foundations fundraising pipeline, which will be used to make financial projections in our organisational budget
You will forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. You’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.
You will track, analyse, review and improve the performance of our trusts and foundations applications and business fundraising, using these insights to inform and improve our fundraising performance.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As an integral member of the Development Team, the Development Manager will support the growth of our trust and foundation partnerships to fund a number of our core annual programme areas (Student Bursaries, Healthcare, Facilities etc) as well as new projects.
