The Senior Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in delivering ambitious income growth by securing philanthropic support from individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners.
Managing a mixed portfolio of high-value prospects capable of making five-figure and above gifts and above, the postholder will cultivate, develop and steward long-term relationships as well as identify and secure new opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage, grow and steward a mixed portfolio of individual major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners capable of making five-figure gifts and above
- Identify and cultivate new high-value prospects, developing tailored engagement and solicitation strategies aligned to charity priorities
- Build strong, trusted relationships with donors, clinicians and senior hospital stakeholders to develop compelling philanthropic asks and stewardship reports
- Grow philanthropy pipeline, focusing on increasing multi-year support and improving the quality, volume and success rate of applications
- Support the Director of Income Generation and Marketing with the delivery of donor stewardship and cultivation events
- Work closely with colleagues across hospital engagement, community fundraising, legacy and in-memory giving and grants to ensure joined-up planning and delivery
- Maintain accurate records of donor engagement, pipeline activity and income forecasting using the CRM system
- Monitor trends in philanthropy, trusts and major giving, adapting approaches in response to changes in the external funding environment
- Act as a professional ambassador for Southampton Hospitals Charity, representing the organisation with credibility
Person Specification:
Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience of securing philanthropic income at the five-figure level or above
- Experience working within a charity, NHS charity or not-for-profit organisation
- Demonstrable success in managing and developing relationships with major donors and/or trusts and foundations and/or corporate partners
- Experience of producing high-quality funding proposals, cases for support and impact reports
- Track record of managing fundraising portfolios and delivering income against targets

In this important role, you will create high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Project Trust is an education charity with over fifty years’ experience in international volunteering for young people. We organise challenging, long-term placements for 17–25-year-olds with partnership organisations in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

As Assistant Team Leader, you will work closely with the Team Leader to run three Team cohorts each academic year, helping to deliver a high‑quality, trauma‑informed programme that builds skills, resilience, and ambition.
You will:
- Support the planning and delivery of three King’s Trust Teams per year.
- Assist in delivering daily sessions, group work, and activity-based learning.
- Help lead team-building activities, outdoor learning, and confidence-building projects.
- Join the team on a residential trip three times per year, supporting young people to step out of their comfort zone safely and successfully.
- Support young people to plan, organise and deliver their community impact project.
- Encourage teamwork, problem-solving and positive contribution.
- Assist learners in securing meaningful work placements aligned to their personal interests and future aspirations.
- Visit learners on placement and provide ongoing support to ensure they thrive.
- Work as part of the Pre-Technical, supporting learners with social, emotional, and educational barriers.
- Use a trauma-informed approach to create safe, trusting relationships focused on progress and wellbeing.

At Epilepsy Action we recognise the power of collaboration and teamwork, so our team members with hybrid contracts can expect to work a minimum of 40% at our office in Leeds. On average this is 2 days a week, normally on Mondays and Thursdays, for full-time employees. Programme Overview
Connect to Work is a UK government-funded initiative aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities, health conditions, or other complex challenges in finding and maintaining employment. The program offers tailored assistance, including one-to-one coaching, employer engagement and help with CV writing. Participants can receive up to 12 months of guidance if they are seeking employment, or up to 4 months if they are currently employed but at risk of losing their job. Support is delivered through local partnerships, and individuals can either self-refer or be referred by professionals and community partners.
In Hampshire we will be delivering Lot 2 – aimed at supporting victims and survivors of Domestic Abuse. We will be working alongside Stop Domestic Abuse and other local partners and domestic abuse charities across the area to deliver a joined up and tailored support for this specific cohort.
The Employment Specialist will be based in Havant and play a vital role in the success of the programme for those across Hampshire. They will manage a small caseload, delivering person centred support to create and follow an individualised workplan, engaging with employers directly to support people into good and sustainable work. They will be enthusiastic and passionate about helping people to find that role that works for them.
Location and Salary
The role will be based in our Havant office with travel expected across Hampshire throughout the week to agreed venues. Salary will be £27,976 - £29,500 depending on experience. Travel expenses over and above those to the base location will be reimbursed.
