360 Development and individual giving manager jobs

This is an exciting opportunity to help Skelmersdale & District Food Bank realise our vision that no-one in our community should have to face going hungry. In order to realise this ambition and maintain a sustainable organisation, we need to grow our annual fundraised income/turnover.  

Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income, reach and support from grant giving trusts and foundations, local businesses and individuals across Skelmersdale and the wider community.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of growing income and building relationships with trusts and foundations, local businesses and individuals to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling funding proposals that successfully engage and attract donations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, identify and prioritise grant-making trusts and foundations, building relationships and securing funding through high-quality applications.
• Manage funder relationships, ensuring excellent stewardship, timely reporting and opportunities for renewed or increased support.
• Identify, engage and secure new business funding partners, while strengthening relationships with existing corporate supporters.
• Work with colleagues to develop compelling funding proposals that align the food bank’s work with funders’ priorities, interests and values.
• Deliver engaging fundraising campaigns, appeals and communications to grow income from individual supporters, including one-off and regular donors.
• Develop and manage a fundraising pipeline and portfolio, using KPIs and forecasting to drive sustainable income growth.
• Build strong relationships across the Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice, accessing development opportunities and contributing to collaborative fundraising initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Established and proven experience of fundraising, particularly with corporate partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s. 
• Well organised, proactive, and a self-starter who is able to self-motivate.
• Able to demonstrate empathy for people from disadvantaged, marginalised or socially-excluded backgrounds.
