Hours: 12 hour shifts, 8 pm to 8 am working on rolling rota of 3 consecutive days on and 3 consecutive days off

You must hold either The Care Certificate or a minimum of Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care.

We are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join the team.

Joining us as a Care Assistant, you will help our residents with various tasks including:

· Personal care.

· Companionship.

· Meal preparation.

· Mobility.

· Keeping care records up to date.

Activities Coordinator

Haslemere, Surrey

Hourly Pay: £13.85 to £15.24 per hour

Redcot, specialising in residential care, is set in the delightful town of Haslemere, Surrey. Overlooking beautiful gardens and surrounded by countryside, much of which is owned by the National Trust, Redcot is blessed with a unique, tranquil setting.

Joining us as an Activities Coordinator, you will lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.

In this rewarding role, you will create a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy. Working with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs, you will put together an individual social care plan and evaluate it regularly.

You will play a key role in engaging with the local community by initiating contact with community groups and enabling residents to partake / continue with hobbies and interests as desired. You will also help to recruit a network of volunteers to provide a variety of desired appropriate social opportunities as identified by the residents.

We're looking for a friendly and creative individual who is passionate about improving the lives of older people. You'll have a person-centred approach, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to encourage and motivate others to participate in meaningful activities.

A full UK driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to drive residents on outings and events.

The role:

As a Trainee Energy Advisor, you will help householders access the support available to them. You will work directly with clients, giving clear, practical advice to help them to make informed choices.

This is a varied role combining client support with accurate case management. You will keep clear records and contribute to a service that makes a real difference to households.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Monitor the advice line and/or other telephone advice projects making and receiving calls from people who may need help with energy related issues.
• Accurately record client details and use your knowledge to assess help and support needed.
• Identify energy improvements that can be made to clients’ properties and refer to installers who can fit them.
• Listen attentively to callers and respond to their needs in an empathetic way during difficult conversations.
• Report any safeguarding or safety concerns promptly to the designated Safeguarding Officer, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken and documented to maintain client safety and wellbeing.

People living with both cancer and dementia face significant unfairness:

• Cancer pathways are not designed for cognitive impairment
• Dementia makes it harder to understand information, attend appointments, and make decisions
• Individuals are often excluded from decisions and disengage from care
• Carers face high stress navigating fragmented systems with little tailored support

Our solution: A community-led, learning-based pilot that combines personalised support with system improvement.

The Adviser will act as a single named point of contact, helping individuals navigate complex cancer pathways, understand information, participate in decision-making, access support and maintain their wellbeing throughout their cancer journey.

The role bridges the gap between dementia support and cancer services, ensuring that people experiencing a dual diagnosis receive coordinated, dementia-aware support that promotes dignity, independence and equitable access to care.

We are looking for a person-centred Adviser who:

• Has experience of supporting older people, vulnerable adults or people with long-term conditions. Experience supporting carers would be desirable.
• Has a strong understanding of dementia and its impact on communication, decision-making and daily life.
• Has the ability to build trusting relationships with people experiencing distress and uncertainty.

Citizens Advice Woking is seeking a Community Outreach Adviser to join our new three-year National Lottery Community Fund project supporting residents in the Canalside area.

This community-based role will provide free, independent and impartial advice on issues including welfare benefits, debt, housing and energy.
