Location: Hybrid Home / Office Based – Fred Bulmer Centre, Hereford (minimum two days in the office)

Key Purpose / WHY?
The Carers Services Manager will play a vital role in leading a team to assist unpaid carers to connect with their communities and access the support they need within Herefordshire. The role will support the Herefordshire team, who deliver the ‘what matters’ assessment to carers and provide bespoke, person-centered information, advice and guidance to people accessing our services. Support includes but is not limited to; one-to-one support, events and activities, as well as signposting and referring to relevant agencies for additional support helping people on their caring journey. The role will work alongside internal teams and external partners to create community connections, develop an outreach support program, linking people to community resources with a focus on preventing the need for escalation to statutory services.
Key accountabilities & responsibilities
1. Service Leadership and Delivery
· Oversee day to day delivery of our commissioned Information, Advice and Guidance service for unpaid Carers in Herefordshire
· Facilitate the application, review and distribution of small grants to unpaid carers across the region as required
· Monitor service quality and delivery and report monthly Key Performance Indicators and quarterly monitoring reports to Local Authority Commissioners. Ensure reporting demonstrates the scale, impact, and quality of our services.
· Meet with commissioners to review service performance quarterly
· Ensure the service is visible and accessible to carers from all communities
· Support carer self-identification and address barriers to engagement, including those faced by underrepresented groups of carers
· Help raise the profile and recognition of TuVida to assist with recruitment, service-user and partner engagement and financial sustainability by contributing to social media presence and the website
2. Service Development
· Work collaboratively with senior colleagues, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth, and working to execute commercial opportunities, including
supporting and/or leading on tendering,
· Bidding, and negotiating new business as well as business retention strategies and mobilisation of new business.
3. Team Management
· Lead and develop a team to deliver person-centered outcomes for unpaid carers across Herefordshire providing practical support and guidance as required
· Provide exemplary leadership and management for the team, including regular team meetings, 121’s and objective setting, caseload management, performance reviews and promoting professional development and well-being
· Create development plans for team members, identifying training needs and growth opportunities within the team and wider organisation
· Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and high-performance standards
· Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of service quality and manager satisfaction
· Oversee recruitment and inductions of new staff
· Manage leave and staff absence
· Act as designated safeguarding lead for the team, maintaining hight standards of safeguarding practice. Support the team through the process of raising safeguards and following up on safeguarding concerns complying with internal and external agencies policies and procedures.
4. Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement
· Ensure the services work collaboratively with partners and community services, manage the delivery of a program of support and services that help improve the wellbeing of carers and which respond to their needs and aspirations.
· Lead on increasing the awareness of TuVida’s services in the county, including development of marketing materials, attending events, stakeholder meetings and increasing recognition of and support available for unpaid carers.
· Build and maintain effective relationships with local authority, health services, and other stakeholders and third sector organisations involved in supporting carers
· Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and network meetings
· Promote awareness of carer rights and needs within the community through talks and training

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Retail Property and Estates, as Centre Manager, you will lead a multiskilled team that delivers a consistently positive visitor experience at our flagship Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre at Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. This team provides a high level of customer service to the public across face-to-face interactions, email and telephone, while also creating a supportive working environment for employees and volunteers. This includes ensuring that the right resources, refreshments, and a clean, well maintained workspace are always available.
As part of the visitor experience, you will be accountable for the safe and legally compliant operation of the Hornbeam Café and for ensuring it provides a comfortable and pleasant environment for customers. This includes managing the Café Manager and offering an appropriate balance of support and challenge in what is a high activity, high impact role
You will be responsible for all health and safety elements within the Centre, including weekly fire alarm tests, routine checks and food preparation audits. The team also manages a range of consumables, so the role requires strong cost control, effective stock usage, and regular feedback on Yorkshire Cancer Research materials.
Specifically, you will:

Job Summary
This is a three-year National Lottery funded role which will support ReMind’s post diagnosis support team to deliver and further develop a programme of interventions and resources for those diagnosed with dementia, their carers and families in communities in BA2, BA3 and BS31. This role is key to supporting delivery of a suite of annual activities including courses, events, information days and peer support sessions. The post holder will work with the Head of Engagement, Programme Manager and wider project team to contribute towards planning and to deliver support interventions as well as supporting local partnership working, ensuring take-up of interventions and an excellent beneficiary experience.
ReMind UK overview
ReMind UK is an independent charity and internationally renowned centre for research, diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Our research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other diseases predominantly affecting older people. Our contracted NHS Memory Clinic service, private memory assessments and allied activities provide support to people affected. We are currently in an ambitious phase of organizational development increasing our impact through clinical and academic research and our post diagnosis support. We work closely with the Universities of Bath, Bristol and other research Institutions, both nationally and internationally and with the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
The Role
This is an exciting and varied role which will suit an organised and compassionate individual who loves working face to face with groups and supporting people to live their best life. You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage people in activities ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as carers. As Facilitator, you will use your insight into what works best in supporting those affected by cognitive impairment to support design of our interventions for people diagnosed with a memory condition and those who care for them. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, partners and beneficiaries to deliver accessible, safe and supportive events and course sessions, ensuring that people who engage with the post-diagnosis support programme, connect with others with shared experience, are adequately supported to take part and have fun, and receive appropriate resources to help them to live well with dementia for as long as possible.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Deliver friendly, stimulating, person-centred interventions on behalf of ReMind UK, including courses in local community venues, seasonal group activities and events and Carers Information Days as agreed with the Programme Manager.
2. Take responsibility for opening up, clearing up and locking venues as required.
3. Manage volunteers during sessions ensuring roles are organized and volunteers briefed on activities and schedule.
4. Facilitate sessions including welcoming participants,, greeting guest speakers, introducing and setting up activities, supporting participants and ensuring everyone is able to fully participate with the support of staff and volunteers.
5. Gather feedback from groups and adjust activities or session content and timings as needed to ensure that interventions are tailored to the group and individual needs and preferences are met.
6. Support the Project Team through contributing insight and experience from working closely with beneficiaries in a variety of venues to design year-round evidence-based interventions that meet the needs of participants and funders.
7. Working with the Programme Manager, support awareness raising, researching, initiating and maintaining partnerships with local community groups, health care providers and stakeholders to ensure ReMind UK maximizes reach and creates adequate awareness of the post-diagnosis support programme.
8. Ensure that materials and resources used at events, groups and courses are requested and purchased in good time and taken to each intervention.
9. Work with the Project Team to ensure attendance and evaluation data is captured at each intervention, allowing time for collection of feedback from participants and ensuring data is accurately captured through processes set out by the Programme Manager for reporting to funders and for continuous improvement of interventions.
10. Contribute to the production of Risk Assessments and mitigations to ensure safeguarding of beneficiaries during interventions.
11. Act on and disseminate any feedback or complaints from beneficiaries using insight to inform changes to interventions or delivery and if a complaint, report to the wider Project Team and manage in accordance with the complaints procedure.
12. Speak to beneficiaries expressing an interest or being referred to the programme to ensure they are appropriately allocated a suitable event or course
13. Gather stories, testimonials and images from interventions and keep up to date records of permissions for use, ensuring these are communicated with the team and input onto the CRM.

In this dynamic position, you will be the driving force behind our Estates and Facilities helpdesk. You'll coordinate both reactive works and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring requests are triaged effectively, urgent issues are resolved swiftly, and service disruptions are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.
Day-to-day, you will line-manage and empower a team of two Facilities Administrators, fostering a positive, inclusive, and values-led culture through coaching and training. You'll also act as the crucial bridge between our clinical, retail, and rehoming site teams and our external contractors. This means identifying the right technical experts for the job, deploying them effectively, and closely monitoring their performance against agreed service levels.
System management is a key component of this role. You will manage our CAFM system to log and track jobs, analyze data to identify recurring trends, and produce reports that drive better decision-making. Working closely with the Health & Safety team, your vigilance will ensure our spaces remain secure, compliant, and well-maintained while delivering excellent value for money. You will have a deep understanding of CAFM systems and how they can be used and further developed to offer a better service to our internal customers.
This is a fixed term role until March 2027. It is a hybrid role with two days a week based out of Victoria pet hospital. There will also be occasional travel to other sites.
About you:
You are a highly organized, service-oriented professional who stays calm and communicates clearly, even when juggling competing priorities or navigating urgent situations. Taking ownership of an issue and seeing it through to resolution is second nature to you. You will have a working knowledge of CAFM or similar service management systems, and know how to get the most out of them to improve our ways of working.
You are entirely comfortable diving into systems and data to spot trends, manage contractor performance, and drive continuous improvement. Building strong, professional relationships across a wide variety of teams comes easily to you, backed by a keen, proactive eye for health, safety, and compliance.

Living Well Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Role:
Referrals and assessment
- Triage and co-ordinate client referrals from a range of sources, primarily health and care, in conjunction with the Living Well Manager. These can be for the Living Well service alone, or for “Living Well Plus” where additional support is given to those clients who may require hoarding or de-cluttering support
- Communicate with referral partners to understand the trigger for referral and liaise with clients to build trust and encourage initial assessment
- Work closely with Adult Social Care, regularly hot desking at Merton Civic centre and joining GP surgery Multi-disciplinary meetings to accumulate more referrals and build professional relationships
- Actively engage in taking part in community events and meetings to promote the Living Well service and increase referrals/referral pathways
- Hold ‘guided conversations’ to assess clients’ needs and home risk, these will be conducted on telephone and through home visits
Action planning and support provision
- Create person-centred action plans to enable clients to set realistic goals to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
- Connect individuals to support services catered to their needs at both Age UK Merton and external partners
- Provide ongoing support and co-ordination for clients to ensure that action plans are progressing, including regular liaison with partners across health, care and voluntary sector to achieve successful client outcomes
- Work with partners across health, care and voluntary sectors to build strong understanding of the service offer for older adults in the London Borough of Merton.
- Receive and respond to enquiries related to the programme by phone, in person and by e-mail
- Work closely within Community Support Service, carrying out joint home visits with appropriate staff to ensure better outcomes for clients as well as ensure streamlined/triaged support.
General
- Record information on the CRM database, Charity Log, including service monitoring data and provide accurate and timely monitoring reports as required for funders
- Engage in exporting personal monthly KPIs as required by the Living Well Manager
- Cover the Community Navigator Role when needed with the Community Support service team on a rota basis
- Create two Case Studies quarterly, reflecting on successful outcomes for clients
- Carry out reviews with clients to capture the client’s journey from assessment to closing the case; showcasing how the client has improved their health and wellbeing outcomes
- Understand the process for raising safeguarding concerns and the route of accountability
- Comply at all times with the policies and procedures of Age UK Merton

About Adolescent Health Study
The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) (Registered Charity Number 1213337) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people aged eight to 18 years from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records.
There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.
Purpose of the post
The Engagement and Involvement Officer will play a central role in supporting meaningful engagement and involvement of young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study.
Primarily, the postholder will be responsible for the stewardship and coordination of the AHS Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG). The post-holder will provide ongoing support to YPAG members to ensure their active participation in opportunities to inform and shape the work of AHS. This will include working closely with the adults in the YPAG members’ lives, including parents/carers, teachers and other relevant adults or professionals. The postholder will also be required to build positive working relationships with other organisations and institutions that work directly with young people. They will support the Engagement and Involvement Lead to develop mechanisms to reach wider and more diverse groups of young people to take part in engagement and involvement activities at AHS.
This is a role that requires confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. Our approach to hybrid working
We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.
We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to- face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

Brent is launching an exciting opportunity for a Young People THRIVE Mental Health Youth Worker, supporting Children and Young People (CYP) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
About the Role
As a Brent YPT Mental Health Youth Worker, you will play a key part in delivering evidence‑based interventions, including mentoring, resilience‑building, and self‑esteem programmes. You’ll be working at the heart of a collaborative multi‑agency system—partnering with CNWL CAMHS and local services to ensure CYP receive the right support at the right time. This role is ideal for someone who is youth‑centred, creative in their approach, and committed to helping prevent escalation of mental health difficulties.
What You’ll Do - Deliver structured interventions that build resilience, emotional wellbeing, and self‑esteem. - Support CYP in navigating and accessing appropriate services following triage. - Work closely with CAMHS and other partners, contributing to triage discussions and multi‑agency panels. - Facilitate youth peer‑support groups and wellbeing circles covering topics like stress, bullying, school pressures, and emotional wellbeing. - Offer information, guidance, and signposting to digital wellbeing tools, local services, and parent/carer resources. - Provide parents/carers with access to workshops, coaching, and practical tools to support emotional wellbeing at home. - Collect and share anonymised data to support service evaluation and continuous improvement.

About the role
You will build and lead FET's income growth function, securing near-term unrestricted income while developing durable fundraising capacity. Your core focus is establishing a new major donor and mid-value programme and delivering a high-performing trusts and foundations pipeline.

Overall Purpose
The PR and Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in protecting and enhancing the NHS Charity sector’s brand reputation across media and digital channels and to reach our key audiences. As a senior member of the Strategic Engagement team, the postholder will help shape and deliver a compelling narrative about the role, need and impact of NHS charities, working with our NHS charity members to ensure our story is told in an emotive and engaging way.
Working closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement, the Associate Director of Communications, Communications Lead, PR Manager and the wider team, the postholder will provide strategic leadership across PR, digital content, brand messaging and storytelling. They will oversee forward planning of media moments, manage day-to-day PR operations, guide digital content strategy, and coordinate events and campaigns that raise the profile of the charity sector and deepen engagement with supporters, partners and members.
The role combines strategic oversight, hands-on content leadership, and team management to ensure coordinated, impactful communications that support our organisational goals.
Overall Objectives
- Protect and enhance the NHS charity sector brand and reputation across PR and digital channels.
- Lead a cohesive media and marketing strategy that tells compelling stories of the impact and need of NHS charities to priority audiences.
- Ensure brand messaging and visual identity remain consistent and effective across channels and across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Media and Marketing Strategy
- Lead the strategic direction of PR, marketing and digital activity to support organisational priorities.
- Ensure an integrated approach across media, digital and brand, aligning messaging and creative.
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop forward plans for proactive media moments, using case studies, campaigns, thought leadership, reports and partnerships.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact reputation, coordinating responses with internal teams.
Brand and Messaging
- Oversee brand messaging and visual identity, collaborating with members to galvanise engagement and reach and ensuring consistent application across all channels.
- Provide guidance to colleagues and external partners on tone of voice, key messages and visual standards.
- Ensure communications are inclusive, accessible and reflective of the communities we serve.
Storytelling and Content Leadership
- Oversee development of versatile, high-quality content including imagery, video, copy, and digital storytelling assets, working closely with the Communications Lead to take a strategic approach across audiences.
- Shape the forward content plan for digital channels, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Use data and insight to inform digital content strategy and continuous improvement.

Media Operations
- Oversee a responsive, well-run press office managing enquiries, monitoring coverage and ensuring timely, high-quality responses.
- Support and guide the PR Manager to maximise media presence with target audiences.
- Build relationships with journalists and position NHS Charities Together and the wider NHS charity sector with our priority audiences.
- Oversee the team to manage our relationships with high profile supporters and celebrities.
- Act as a spokesperson where appropriate.
Digital Channels
- Line-manage the Senior Communications Officer to ensure our digital channels effectively support organisational objectives.
- Oversee planning and delivery across website, social media and email marketing.
- Ensure digital activity is insight-led, audience-focused and continually optimised through analytics.
Campaigns, Events and Activities
- Oversee delivery of campaigns and events, ensuring they are well planned, impactful and aligned to brand and messaging.
- Work with internal teams to maximise the communications and marketing potential of organisational activities.
- Provide strategic input and coordination across multi-channel campaigns.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the Associate Director of Communications and Engagement and the Communications Lead to develop shared priorities, workflows and team culture.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and clear direction to team members.
- Represent Communications across the organisation and with external partners when required.
