About the role:

For young people who have experienced care, homelessness, trauma or instability, the quality of the adults and services around them can shape what happens next. As a Team Manager in our Young People’s Services, you’ll help create the consistency, safety and skilled support young people need to build confidence, develop independence and move towards adulthood with greater choice over their future.

We have two Team Manager opportunities available: one at Cecil House in Camden and one at North Birbeck in Waltham Forest. Working closely with the Service(s), and Regional Services Manager, you’ll provide day-to-day management and practice leadership across the service, supporting and developing frontline staff while maintaining strong oversight of safeguarding, risk, support planning and the quality of practice. You’ll deputise for the Services Manager when required and help make sure young people receive support that is purposeful, individual and rooted in trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches.

Reflective practice will be an important part of how you lead. You’ll create space for staff to think critically about their work, understand the impact of trauma and relationships, learn from challenging situations and strengthen their professional judgement. Alongside this, you’ll help maintain high standards across the service, supporting Ofsted readiness, quality assurance and continuous improvement, and working closely with Children’s Services, Leaving Care teams and other partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

This is an opportunity to take on a significant management role within our Young People’s Services, develop your leadership and regulatory experience and help shape consistently strong practice across the team. You’ll be supported by experienced managers and have access to ongoing learning, development and reflective practice to continue growing as a leader.

About the opportunity

As a cross-team housing caseworker, you will work alongside individuals who are at risk of homelessness, often during times of heightened stress and uncertainty. Rather than focusing solely on immediate needs, your approach will centre around building trust, listening to each person’s story, and helping them take informed, practical steps toward safe and sustainable housing.

Alongside housing support, you will help people address wider support needs, including finances, health, wellbeing and life skills.

You’ll work across our network of charity partners, bringing vital capacity and support to local teams during times of increased demand or staff shortages. Your flexible, compassionate presence ensures that people continue to receive timely, high-quality support, no matter where they first reach out.

This role is fundamentally about partnership: with the people you support, the services you collaborate with, and the teams you join. We are looking for a motivated and inspiring Service Manager to lead our Housing First Service in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a highly regarded service that supports people with histories of rough sleeping and multiple disadvantages to secure and sustain their own homes.

Based at our Lansdowne Drive scheme, you will provide leadership and support to a team of three Housing First Workers, overseeing a service that supports up to 18 clients. Working within the principles of Housing First, you will ensure people receive flexible, person-centred support that enables them to achieve their goals and live independently.

What you'll be doing

As Service Manager, you will play a key role in both the operational delivery and future development of the service. You will:

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Housing First Workers, creating a positive and high-performing service culture.
• Ensure the service consistently delivers high-quality, person-centred support aligned with Housing First principles.
• Drive service performance, quality, and continuous improvement, ensuring positive outcomes for clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, partner agencies, housing providers, and other key stakeholders.
• Contribute to the strategic development of Housing First services, sharing knowledge and best practice both internally and externally.

For someone who has spent years moving between the streets, temporary accommodation and services that have not worked for them, having a home of their own can be life changing. But getting the keys is only the beginning. As our Specialist Housing First Worker in Redbridge, you’ll provide the intensive, persistent and highly personalised support people need to make that home feel safe, sustainable and genuinely theirs.

Housing First does things differently. You’ll work alongside people who have experienced repeated homelessness and multiple disadvantage, including people who may be mistrustful of services or have found traditional approaches difficult to engage with. Rather than expecting people to change before they can access housing, you’ll start from the belief that everyone has a right to a home. You’ll build relationships over time, work creatively around barriers and use active engagement and harm reduction approaches to support people towards the goals that matter to them.

Your work will stretch across housing, health, benefits, safeguarding and wider support. You’ll help people prepare for and settle into their accommodation, navigate rent and benefits, manage risks and build greater independence within their community. Just as importantly, you’ll bring together the professionals around each person, advocate firmly when systems get in the way and keep looking for another route when the obvious one has failed. This is a role that calls for sound judgement, patience and real tenacity: knowing when to challenge, when to adapt and how to remain alongside someone through setbacks as well as progress.

You’ll be joining a team committed to delivering Housing First with integrity and giving practitioners the flexibility to respond to people as individuals. Part of a team of Outreach and Project Workers pivotal to the delivery of an exciting new project focused on reaching women identified as at risk of homelessness and exploitation. The Luna Project supports women at risk of rough sleeping, homelessness and exploitation. Working across key areas of Enfield and Haringey you will, through a combination of nighttime outreach and daytime service provision, be critical to supporting a coordinated response across multiple agencies already engaged in this work.

You will undertake at least twice weekly nighttime outreach, support additional services and existing outreach provision and develop a daytime offer that meets the needs of women engaged through outreach and identified as at high risk of harm and homelessness.   

You will have responsibility for a caseload of women identified through outreach, referral and presentation at ours and other services. You will provide advocacy, casework support and connection and referral into other agencies which can help them address their needs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new service supporting people who are sleeping rough, have experienced repeated or long-term homelessness, or are at immediate risk of returning to the streets.

Managing a small caseload of approximately six to eight people, you will provide intensive, flexible and relationship-based support. You will work alongside each person to secure and sustain suitable accommodation, overcome barriers and develop greater confidence, independence and community connections.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing strengths-based, trauma-informed assessments and personalised support plans
• Supporting people with housing, benefits, budgeting, household essentials and daily living skills
• Helping individuals access health, mental health, substance use and other specialist services
• Working with local authorities, housing providers, landlords and community partners
• Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns, risks and crises
• Undertaking outreach, home visits and community-based appointments
• Maintaining accurate case records and contributing to service monitoring and evaluation
• Advocating for clients and coordinating effective multi-agency support

Some occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

About You

You will have experience of supporting adults affected by homelessness, rough sleeping, housing instability or multiple and complex needs. You will understand homelessness legislation, housing options, tenancy sustainment and adult safeguarding.

You will be confident completing assessments, developing support plans and working collaboratively with housing, health, social care and other agencies. An understanding of trauma-informed, psychologically informed or recovery-focused practice would be an advantage.

Patient, resilient and non-judgemental, you will be able to build trusting relationships with people who may have experienced trauma, exclusion or repeated disengagement from services. You will combine persistence and flexibility with sound professional boundaries and effective risk management.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, or another reliable means of travelling throughout Charnwood and Leicestershire, is required. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Broxtowe Youth Homelessness (BYH) is a small, well-established charity supporting young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Our practical, person-centred approach helps young people move towards greater stability, independence and opportunity.

With four years of funding secured from The National Lottery Community Fund, BYH is entering an exciting period of development, including a rebrand and transition to an incorporated charity. Single Homeless Project's (SHP’s) Camden Housing First service is expanding, and we’re looking for a passionate and skilled worker to join an innovative team supporting people with long histories of rough sleeping, multiple exclusion and co-occurring needs. This includes a new and important focus on supporting couples who have been rough sleeping and will be accommodated separately in their own self-contained flats, while receiving intensive, relational and trauma-informed support.

Based from King’s Cross, you’ll work across the community and in people’s homes, carrying a small caseload so you can offer flexible, persistent and person-centred support that is shaped around each person’s strengths, safety, needs and goals. You’ll build trust with people who may have had difficult experiences of services, working at their pace while keeping a strong focus on housing sustainment, wellbeing, risk, choice and recovery.

You won’t be doing this work alone. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team and will work closely with statutory services, housing partners and specialist colleagues including health, psychology, Solace, occupational therapy and perpetrator support. With safety at the heart of the work, you’ll play a key role in supporting people where relationships, trauma, exploitation, abuse or external risk may be part of their lives. At SHP, you’ll also have access to learning, reflective practice and development opportunities that help you keep growing your skills while doing meaningful, complex and life-changing work.

About you:

• You have experience supporting people facing multiple disadvantage, including homelessness, trauma, mental ill health, substance use, contact with the criminal justice system or long-term exclusion from services.
• You know how to build trust with people who may be wary of services, using patience, consistency and creativity to keep people engaged without forcing change before they are ready.
• You understand the links between severe and multiple disadvantage, VAWG, coercion, abuse, exploitation and safety, and you can respond in a way that is trauma-informed, boundaried and safeguarding-focused.
• You are a confident advocate and communicator, able to work with partners, negotiate well, challenge when needed and keep the person’s voice at the centre.
• You are organised and self-sufficient in your day-to-day work, with the written, IT and recording skills needed to manage a caseload, update systems clearly and keep support plans moving.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Senior Quantitative Policy and Research Officer to join our Policy and Research team based in London.

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Together with our partners, we support over 15,000 young people each year.

The Policy and Research team at Centrepoint provides the evidence base for the organisation’s policy and influencing work, using research, data and the experiences of young people to understand the causes and scale of youth homelessness and identify effective solutions. The team leads research across a range of policy areas, produces Centrepoint’s Youth Homelessness Databank, analyses national and local data, and translates findings into clear policy recommendations. It also supports external influencing, engaging with Government, Parliament, local authorities and other organisations to ensure evidence is used to shape policy and improve outcomes for young people.

Hybrid Working

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity supporting people affected by homelessness and addiction to rebuild their lives. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Recovery Community & Therapeutic Service Manager to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of our Recovery Community and Therapeutic Service.

This is a part-time role working 28 hours per week and is fully onsite at our Shoreditch hub. There is some flexibility around how the hours are worked across the week, although ideally Friday will be included as a working day.

This is a key leadership role bringing together therapeutic support, aftercare, peer-led activity, volunteering, training and community engagement to create an integrated recovery journey. You will ensure that people accessing SCT's services have opportunities to strengthen their recovery capital, build supportive networks and progress towards greater independence and wellbeing.

Working closely with our Director of Services and colleagues across SCT, you will:

• Lead the ongoing development of SCT's Recovery Community and therapeutic offer.
• Oversee recovery-focused programmes, therapeutic interventions, aftercare and peer-led activities.
• Create meaningful opportunities for people with lived experience to shape services, volunteer, mentor and support others.
• Lead and develop staff, volunteers, peer mentors and facilitators, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
• Build strong partnerships with commissioners, funders, treatment providers, housing and mental health services and other community organisations.
• Oversee service quality, budgets, monitoring and evaluation, ensuring services are safe, effective and demonstrate positive outcomes.

We are looking for someone with significant experience of leading services within recovery, social care, community development, housing, health or a related field. You will have a strong understanding of addiction recovery and the challenges experienced by people affected by homelessness and multiple disadvantage.

You will be a confident and collaborative leader with experience of managing people, developing programmes, building partnerships and delivering measurable outcomes. You'll also bring strong organisational and communication skills, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-focused practice.
