We're looking for a Head of Internal Services to help shape the future of Calder Rivers Trust.

This is a senior leadership role with organisation-wide responsibility for ensuring the Trust is well run, well governed, financially sound, compliant and resilient. You'll provide the foundations that enable our teams to deliver environmental impact today while building the capacity and capability we need for the future.

Working closely with the General Manager, Board and leadership team, you'll help guide organisational development, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the Trust has the systems, information, resources and assurance needed to grow with confidence.

You'll lead our approach to finance, governance, risk, compliance, people, health and safety, organisational performance, systems and technology. You'll ensure these areas work together effectively, with clear responsibilities, strong controls and practical arrangements that support colleagues across the Trust.

As a trusted adviser to trustees and senior leaders, you'll provide insight, support and constructive challenge, helping ensure good decisions are informed by strong information and a clear understanding of organisational priorities, opportunities and risks.

You'll also play a leading role in organisational planning and development, helping translate strategy into action, strengthening management practice, improving how information flows across the organisation, and identifying opportunities to improve how we work.

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with practical leadership. You'll enjoy bringing clarity to complexity, improving systems, developing people and helping organisations perform at their best. You might come from a finance, governance, operations, organisational development, HR, charity leadership or corporate services background. What matters most is your ability to take a whole-organisation view and turn ambition into effective organisational practice.

Natural Capital Assessment Partnership

The Natural Capital Assessment Partnership (NCAP) has operated for over 30 years. Formerly the Habitat Biodiversity Audit, a key remit of NCAP has been to survey and gather habitat data across Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull, combining ecological field surveys with pioneering satellite imagery and remote sensing analysis. A second key aspect of NCAP’s work is managing the Local Wildlife Sites programme for the region.

Data acquired and produced by the team supports Local Wildlife Site designations, Local Nature Recovery Strategy development and monitoring, and creates baseline habitat reports and statistics.  This localised yet UK-leading dataset provides robust evidence for decision-making and monitoring, plus a unique record of land-use change over the past two decades. Combined with Biological Records Centre species data, it offers an unrivalled picture of the local state of nature.

NCAP is funded by local authorities, managed by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and hosted by Warwickshire County Council.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as Senior Technical Specialist (Nature Positive) to lead important programmes of work within the Business & Nature team including the development of corporate nature strategies, supply chain frameworks, net positive impact, nature-related risk and impact assessments and ecosystem target setting.

This position presents an exceptional opportunity to work with leading global businesses and other stakeholders and play a leading role in translating nature ambition into practical on the ground impact. As a senior member of the team, you will get involved in wide ranging projects and activities, contributing technical expertise across different geographies and sectors including renewable energy, mining and food and agriculture. You will have an in depth understanding of the international landscape for business and nature, the role of the private sector in halting and reversing nature loss, and the interconnections between nature and wider sustainability issues.

We are seeking an outstanding leader to manage and drive the performance of our award winning visitor attraction and wetland nature reserve in Slimbridge, Gloucestershire. Slimbridge is where wetland conservation began some 80 years ago with the founding of WWT – the wetland charity.

About The Role

This is a genuine opportunity to shape this amazing attraction, not just run it. Reporting into WWT’s central operations leadership, you will take full responsibility for the day to day operations leading a dedicated team of more than 60 staff and 250 volunteers to deliver our ambitious financial, visitor engagement and conservation objectives for the centre. In addition you will lead an exciting master-planning process working in collaboration with colleagues in the operations directorate, central leads and centre staff to deliver a plan that sets the site up for success over the next decade and unlocks significant funding.

WWT Slimbridge offers an amazing day out and a wonderful introduction to wetland wildlife and it is your responsibility to provide an unforgettable experience on each and every visit. Visitors can experience the spectacle of tens of thousands of wild birds, immerse themselves in wetlands teaming with life and get close to some of the world’s most amazing wetland birds and mammals. The site features adventure and water play areas, canoe safari, interactive exhibits and walk-through aviaries in addition to over 800 acres of wetland reserve with wildlife viewing hides, including a three-storey tower with magnificent views of the Severn Estuary.

The role has responsibility for all aspects of the site - working closely with the centre’s senior leadership team you will deliver excellence across the areas of trading and admissions, visitor experience and engagement, learning and marketing, living collections and the wetland reserve - a Ramsar wetland site, Special Protection Area (SPA) and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) on account of its internationally important wetlands. WWT's charity headquarters are also based at the Slimbridge site, and you will work closely with the team, jointly contributing to the delivery of WWT’s Wetlands are the way 2030 strategy.

About You

To be a success in this role you must be an experienced and professional manager and a great leader, comfortable with both operational delivery, visible on the floor leadership and the ability to input strategically at the highest level. You should be strong on financial and business numeracy, comfortable owning the P&L and able to deliver against ambitious and motivating targets while maintaining day-to-day performance.

You will have impeccable standards for cleanliness, health & safety and the visitor experience and a track record for building team performance and morale.

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for digital communications and the power of green spaces? The Land Trust is looking for a Communications and Marketing Officer to help share the impact of our work with communities, residents, partners and clients across the UK.

This new role will work with colleagues across the charity and will lead on social media and digital communications, create engaging written, photographic and video content, keep our website up to date, and support newsletters, campaigns, events and communications for our parks and green spaces. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and full of ideas, with strong communication skills and confidence using multiple social media platforms. You do not necessarily need to have a qualification in communications and marketing, as we’re keen to also hear from those with demonstrable related experience. A leading international charity is seeking an experienced Finance Manager – Systems & Treasury to join its finance team on an initial three-month contract. There is a strong likelihood of extension, with the long-term intention for the role to become permanent.

This is a newly created position that will act as the Finance team's subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The system has recently been implemented, and the successful candidate will take ownership of its day-to-day management, ongoing optimisation and future integrations.

You'll work closely with Finance and IT to ensure Business Central is embedded across the organisation, continues to evolve and delivers high-quality financial reporting and operational efficiencies.

Alongside systems ownership, you'll also lead the organisation's developing treasury function, managing cash flow forecasting, liquidity and supporting wider financial planning activities.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

• Act as the Finance team's lead for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, taking ownership of its day-to-day administration and development.
• Drive ongoing enhancements, optimisation and future integrations, including timesheet and sales systems.
• Develop reports, dashboards and management information from Business Central to support financial decision-making.
• Work closely with Finance, IT and external system providers to resolve issues, improve functionality and maximise system capability.
• Support and train Finance colleagues, becoming the key point of contact for all Business Central queries.
• Maintain strong financial controls, data integrity and user access within the finance system.
• Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts across multiple entities.
• Support treasury management, monitoring liquidity and identifying opportunities to maximise returns on surplus cash.
• Drive continuous improvements across finance systems, reporting and internal processes.

You will:

• Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Have demonstrable, hands-on experience using and administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Be confident acting as the Finance team's systems lead, supporting users and driving continuous system improvements.
• Have experience developing reporting, improving finance processes and supporting system integrations.
• Possess strong treasury, cash flow forecasting and financial reporting experience.

This role will be primarily focusing on our Climate Action Fund programme – Student Energy Action for Life (SEAL), with opportunity to contribute towards our wider engagement programmes. SEAL has a twofold vision; to support students navigating the home energy system and to improve access to student energy efficient properties via landlord engagement and student campaigning. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Engage, maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders particularly landlords and students' unions, as well as students, volunteers, universities, local authorities, and other key organisations. 
• Support landlords, student letting agencies and students’ unions to improve the energy efficiency of student accommodation, focusing on implementing energy efficiency initiatives, advice and support.
• Plan, design, and deliver engaging training sessions to a variety of audiences.
• Provide support for students’ union officers and other student campaigners working on housing energy efficiency campaigns, including the design and implementation of a national student home energy campaign.
• Support with the creation and management of sector wide student energy efficiency advisory groups including a home energy efficiency network, student advisory group and stakeholder advisory group.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of programme resources and communications, including social media and website updates. 
• Recruit, coordinate, and support student volunteers including line management of student staff when required.

Lead the future of nature in Scotland

We’re looking for an inspiring and strategic leader to take on the role of Scotland Director at RSPB.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of nature recovery, influence policy at the highest levels, and lead a passionate, purpose-driven team delivering real impact across Scotland.

As Scotland Director, you will play a central role in shaping RSPB’s overall direction while ensuring delivery of ambitious, evidence-based programmes that protect and restore nature.

Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer (to which this role reports) and the Management Board to shape RSPB’s vision and translate strategy into impactful action across Scotland you will:

• Lead the development and delivery of aligned, prioritised programmes that achieve measurable outcomes for nature
• Provide strategic senior leadership within organisational governance structures and contribute to UK-wide strategy and decision-making
• Build and maintain influential relationships with government, partners, funders, and stakeholders
• Represent RSPB at national and on occasion international levels, including media work Inspire and develop a high-performing, inclusive team
• Ensure effective systems are in place to manage risk, maintain compliance, and support strong organisational performance
• Play a significant role in leading the implementation and ongoing delivery of the organisational structure, re-design and priorities within the One RSPB transformation programme including vision, principles and strategic delivery programme for Scotland and RSPB
• Provide strategic support for the development and delivery of major projects, including at present the Orkney Native Wildlife Project, the Cairngorms Connect partnership and the Peatland Programme.

This is a permanent full-time role. While working flexibly, the successful candidate will be expected to be based in Scotland and there will be a significant element of travel required.
