Job Title: Deputy Service Manager 

Location: Romford, please note that this location does not have step free access

Salary: £34,400

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota varying between 08:00 - 21:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays so flexibility will be required. You will also take part in our out of hours on call service for managers. 

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Service Manager to join our service based in Romford . Our service is a Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) based in Havering. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. 

You will also support some day-to-day team responsibilities, including providing tailored support directly to residents. As a Manager, you will help drive service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma‑ and psychologically informed environment. You will work collaboratively with the team, wider services, and external partners to ensure the service runs smoothly. We’re looking for a solution‑focused individual with experience in similar service environments, who can create a safe space for individuals to learn and grow, while continuing to embed trauma‑informed and psychologically informed practice that puts people and communities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle, fostering a supportive leadership culture focused on staff wellbeing, learning, and development
• Encourage productivity, engagement, and wellbeing of the team through regular check-ins, training, meetings, and supervisions.
• Support with day to day tasks within the service such as direct support to residents and supporting the team to deliver the best possible outcomes with their residents.
• Ensure Risk Management processes and policies are followed within the service.
• Property and housing management, ensuring accommodation standards, timely maintenance and reporting.
• Striving to ensure excellence and quality in our service delivery.
• Financial Management of service budget with cost saving mechanisms. 

About You

We're seeking someone who has a genuine passion for making a difference to lives, and helping to create safer communities for all. You will be a proactive leader, with the ability to motivate and empower a team to drive excellence, both as individuals, and as a team, whilst providing practical solutions to challenges which arise. You will experience of direct line management responsibility for the frontline care and support staff at your service. We're looking for someone who can build rapport, trust, and create an environment which allows individuals to grow their skills and experience and develop as individuals. 

What we are looking for:

• Ability to provide high quality support and line management to staff
• Ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve KPI's
• Ability to support the Service Manager and help manage staff with daily tasks, caseloads and overall day to day running of the service
• Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to the team on all aspects of service delivery including resident related queries
• Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands and needs of the service. For example, Provide an emergency on call service as and when required in case of emergency
• IT proficiency - we use various systems so look for someone who can learn and navigate new systems including case management, Microsoft, ATS, HR systems, and other types of organisational software

Recovery Worker

Job Title: Female Recovery Worker 

Location: This residential site, located in Brighton, benefits from great transport links, with Hove Station and several local bus routes nearby. Kindly be aware that step free access is not available at this service.

Salary: £26,200

Shift Pattern:  37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with rotating shifts of 08:00 - 16:00, 10:00 - 18:00, and 14:30 - 22:00. You will be required to work bank holidays as part of a rota, in line with the needs of the service.

About the Role

We are hiring a Recovery Worker to join our Women's Service based which is based in Hove. The service provides low, medium, and high level support to women who have experienced homelessness, criminal justice history, substance use, mental health, and domestic abuse. As a Recovery Worker, you will be at the forefront of providing person centred support, to help our residents overcome personal challenges, and meet their desired goals/outcomes. You will do this through various support plans and interventions, running and participation of activities, and working alongside various internal and external partners. 

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.
• Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively.
• Develop, participate in, and encourage residents to participate in the running and development of various projects and activities.
• Empower residents to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
• Provide advice, information, guidance, and life skills training to residents as required.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health, physical health, or other health implications.

Complex Needs Recovery Worker

Job Title: Complex Needs Recovery Worker

Location: This role is based in Balham. The service is a short walk from Clapham South Station (Northern Line Underground). Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £28,800

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota between 08:00 - 21:30. You may be required to work bank holidays and evenings as required. You may be required to work additional hours outside of the hours to meet service and resident needs.

About the Role

We're hiring a Complex Needs Recovery Worker to join our team based in Penrose Focus. In this role, you will support residents who have a history of forensic mental health issues with co morbidity, often alongside co-occurring substance misuse disorders. The residents range from high risk to low support and our aim is to provide tailored support to help them reintegrate into the community. 

As a  Complex Needs Recovery Worker, you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals. If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and have a non-judgmental, empathetic approach, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with forensic mental health issues, substance misuse recovery and practical assistance such as applying for benefits or booking medical appointments.
• Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
• Provide person-centered support to residents, helping them rebuild their lives and transition back into the community.
• Support residents to build skills and confidence and signpost residents to external organisations and services that can aid their recovery, such as drug rehabilitation programs, psychological therapy and social services.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
• Build good relationships with residents, offering emotional support and fostering a safe, non judgmental environment.
• Confidently report issues to the police when necessary and work closely with probation officers to ensure residents meet their legal and rehabilitation requirements.
• Create an empowering and enabling environment where individuals are supported to make informed decisions and take control of their own lives.
• Support residents in accessing primary healthcare services, including arranging GP appointments and liaising with mental health professionals. 

About You

We're looking for a genuine passion for supporting people who may have complex needs which includes forensic mental health. You will be a self motivated individual who is able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. Experience in mental health or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves. 

• Previous professional or lived experience supporting people with forensic mental health and complex needs, ideally in mental health and residential setting
• Experience working with people with complex backgrounds, including ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, or challenging behaviour and an understanding of housing and social needs
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
• Ability to show empathy and compassion and the different challenges people face; ability to come up with creative solutions to support them in their journey
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges
