This organisation is scheduling interviews as applications come in. They're ready to hire as soon as they find the right person. Don't miss your opportunity, apply now!
About the Charity
Our client supports vulnerable individuals and families across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, including young people who take on significant responsibilities well beyond their years. It's a small, close-knit fundraising and communications team looking to grow with the right person alongside them.
About the Role
This is a genuinely broad, hands-on role — the conduit between fundraising and communications activity. You'll be the first person to own a brand-new fundraising CRM system, and the first to build proper supporter journeys from a base of 600–800 contacts already in place. Two regular newsletters already go out to supporters and the people the charity works with — what's missing is someone to turn that reach into lasting relationships.
This October, the charity launches its first-ever integrated fundraising and communications campaign — a Christmas appeal for the young people it supports. Depending on timing, you might join in time to help run it, or join just after and inherit real campaign data to build the next one from. Either way, it's a genuine ground-floor opportunity: no legacy systems, no inherited decisions — what you build is what exists.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of a new CRM system, becoming the team's go-to on supporter data
- Design and build supporter journeys for regular givers and donors from scratch
- Support delivery of a major Christmas fundraising campaign and future appeals
- Work closely with the Communications Manager, plugging fundraising into existing newsletters
- Build authentic case studies and stories with the charity's young people's voice & participation team
- Help identify new income opportunities alongside the Fundraising Manager once the fundamentals are in place
About You
- Experience of fundraising, supporter care, customer engagement or communications, with excellent written and verbal skills
- Comfortable owning a CRM yourself — able to run reports and understand segmentation, not just direct someone else in it (specific CRM experience is a bonus, not a requirement)
- A track record delivering campaigns, appeals or multi-channel engagement activity
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage several priorities and interpret data to recommend improvements
- High standards of accuracy and confidentiality, with a sound understanding of data protection and ethical fundraising
Desirable: individual giving, regular giving or community fundraising background; experience with Gift Aid and fundraising platforms; charity or social care sector experience.
You’ll provide critical administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Risk and Assurance Team. You’ll ensure the smooth daily functioning of the department by managing documentation, scheduling and administering meetings.
You’ll follow up on outstanding audit and risk actions and data incidents at the request of the Head of Risk and Assurance. You’ll maintain excellent records to ensure robust audit trails exist for all team activity.
Please note this is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
What you'll do
-
Coordinate internal and external meetings including the creation of agendas, collation of papers, and drafting of minutes and or action and decision logs as appropriate, in line with clear deadlines.
-
Maintain the various team information systems, ensuring they remain accurate at all times.
-
Monitor the team shared mailboxes, in line with agreed rules, escalating enquiries to the appropriate team member in a timely manner.
-
Establish and maintain central digital libraries for compliance evidence, internal policies, and regulatory activity reports.
-
Support with the collation of information associated with Internal Audits, Insurance Renewals and evidence for the Data Security and Protection Toolkit
What you'll bring
-
Experience in an Administrator role or a willingness to learn
-
Experience working with specialised compliance or data tracking management systems
-
Impeccable organisation skills, capable of juggling competing priorities under tight deadlines
-
Excellent administration skills, including note-taking, presentation preparation and a positive, assertive and resilient approach to prioritising and juggling varying pressures and conflicting priorities
Please apply by sending us your CV and a detailed cover letter explaining how you meet the criteria in the "What you'll bring" section of the job description.
