This role is responsible for delivering the operational backbone of the ICA including the maintenance and upkeep of our grade one listed premises on the Mall. Overseeing a range of building management and operational duties, this person will ensure the facilities are fit for purpose, safe and secure, comfortable and in good state of repair. They will ensure operational policies and procedures are compliant with relevant legislation. They will also ensure IT and office management processes are effectively delivered. To succeed, the postholder must be proactive, hands on and work closely with all ICA staff and deeply understand the needs of curatorial, private hires, café bar and front of house departments to provide the best possible premises conditions for the ICA’s needs. They must also ensure positive relationships with external stakeholders.

About EFA

English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. Our work currently supports around 500 adult migrants across London. We’ve become a national centre of good practice for a radical participatory approach to ESOL, informed by the work of Paulo Freire, and we share this approach through trainings, research and partnerships. 

Organisation: We are a staff team of 8 people supported by a larger team of volunteers and 9 trustees. EFA promotes shared leadership and collaboration and we aim for our organisational structure to reflect this. In the last 4 years we’ve transitioned away from having a CEO to an executive team to oversee operations and decision-making - which you could be elected to join following your probation period. Keep Britain Tidy has a new opportunity for a Project Manager to manage the Chewing Gum Task Force programme. The Chewing Gum Task Force is a partnership between Defra, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland, Scottish Government and Welsh Government and chewing gum producers including Mars Wrigley and Perfetti Van Melle which aims to clean up historic gum staining from UK high streets and change behaviour so that more people bin their gum.

The Project Manager will lead on overall administration of the scheme and manage the cleansing grant programme for councils, working alongside partner organisation Behaviour Change. In Years 1 and 2 of the scheme, participating councils have seen reductions in gum littering of up to 80% in the first two months. Now in Year 3, we will shortly distribute more than £1.2m funding to councils across the UK.

This is an exciting role within a fast-paced charity. You will have a proven track record in project management, ideally in environmental projects and/or grant schemes. Excellent organisational and record keeping skills are a must, along with the ability to form good working relationships with Chewing Gum Task Force stakeholders.

As Chief Advisor you will lead our scientific understanding on marine issues and their impacts on the natural world and human society. We will look to you to provide technical support to our conservation and blue carbon work in UK coastal waters and be the lead expert on ocean systems and the drivers impacting them, including the potential for ocean tipping points. You will help identify and fill knowledge gaps as well as provide the evidence underpinning WWF policy positions.

About the role:

The Procurement and Logistics Advisor provides strategic and operational logistics support to multiple country programmes across allocated portfolios, while acting as enabler for MAG’s Procurement and Logistics function transformation initiative.

This position facilitates logistics change management, supporting adoption of MAG logistics and procurement SOPs and systems at country programmes level, while providing hands-on support to country programmes counterparts in managing any contingent needs.

We are seeking a senior procurement and logistics individual with experience in the NGO/humanitarian sector. About the Service

The Crisis Centre and rest of Nightlight Services (Café’s, Helpline, Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis cafes and 24/7 Crisis Centre. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.

As a member of our diverse team, you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

About the Role

Alongside other Crisis Centre Coordinators, to be a key member of the Crisis Centre team, providing effective operational leadership delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Centre Service. You will be ensuring the delivery and development of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision. You will provide management support to Crisis Centre Mental Health Support Workers and support the Crisis Centre Team Leader in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing emotional support and developing, alongside service users, flexible and realistic crisis support/person-centred plans within agreed guidelines with support from the leadership team (including assessments of need, risk, crisis support plans and review forms) in person or via telephone.
• Draw upon own lived experience as appropriate to inform the delivery of person centred support.
• Providing immediate advice and information to clients to support with crisis presentations.
• Liaise with Nightlight management and external services e.g. police, ambulance service, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, Single Point of Access, Safeguarding Out of Hours Service, Mental Health Liaison Teams, Adult Community Mental Health Services etc. as needed in terms of accepting referrals and proactively recognising the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitating appropriate support.
• Complete appropriate signposting/onward referrals to both internal and external services in accordance with identified needs and risks.
• Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standards at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements.
• Arranging transport for service users to facilitate access to services as needed.
• You will line manage a number of Crisis Centre Mental Health Support Workers and be part of the operational management for the Nightlight Crisis Centre.

As Executive Assistant you will –

Skills and experience required

Communications Officer

About the role

We’re looking for a communications officer to assist the communications team in delivering Spinal Injuries Association’s (SIA) strategy to further enhance SIA’s standing as the expert guiding voice for life after spinal cord injury.

In close collaboration with the digital communications coordinator, you will help make our website the go-to, accessible source of information and support for the spinal cord injured community. You will also support in executing SIA's social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure impact and reach.

Duties include

• Be proactive in working with departments across the charity to generate diverse and compelling digital content that engages and informs our audiences, ensuring consistency and alignment with tone of voice and brand guidelines.
• Support with implementing the necessary changes to enable the website to achieve accessibility accreditation.
• Assist with the monitoring of analytics for the website.
• Support with the creation and updating of information across the website, including the SCI Knowledge Hub.
• Monitor the website for any broken links and issues and work with the digital communications coordinator to fix them in a timely fashion.
• Support in executing SIA's social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure impact and reach.
• Support in creating dynamic, accessible, compelling and sharable on-brand content across all platforms.
• Assist with monitoring social media campaigns, ensuring quality control, consistency of approach and accuracy.

You will be a key resource in supporting the marketing and campaigns activities of the OSS to engage partners across our communities. Working with a team of Energy and Retrofit Advisors the Partnership Officer will develop networks and partnerships to help households pursuing domestic retrofit opportunities. They will attend ongoing Steering Group and delivery team meetings to ensure they are aware of all Shop activity and its effective coordination. The post will work closely with Local Authorities and the Combined Authority to ensure that domestic retrofit is recognised and delivered across the North of Tyne Area.

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. It affects over 153,000 people in the UK. So we urgently need new treatments, more support for people living with the condition and more funds to find a cure. In the last 50 years, we’ve invested more than £100 million in cutting-edge research to uncover the causes of Parkinson’s. We believe we’re close to finding a solution. You’ll be at the heart of our annual iconic campaign to maximise the positive impact from World Parkinson’s Day, in April every year, to ensure the delivery in the most efficient, impactful and relevant manner to both our core audiences and throughout the charity. 

You will communicate with and coordinate colleagues across multiple teams in the charity and in the Parkinson’s Community in the shared purpose of inspiring the Parkinson’s community to support the campaign and engage with our charity. It will involve high profile brand awareness activity, digital, social media as well as local community involvement and fundraising initiatives to further establish the charity as the ‘go to’ for people with Parkinson’s, those who support them and our supporters.

You’ll bring skills gained in campaign and project management and support the evaluation of the previous campaign to inform development of new activity,  help colleagues and supporters understand its impact and embedding key insights / learning.

This is a fixed term contract for a duration of 7 months 

What you’ll do:

• Operationally plan and project manage the WPD campaign, leading on preparatory work and building systems and processes to ensure its success.

• Prepare project plan and help align activity with existing BAU and other strategic campaigns in the External Relations Directorate and the Studio

• Work with the Campaign Strategy Lead to  define wider KPIs to measure the campaign’s success, identify opportunities and manage risks.

• Build knowledge of and commitment to the campaign with key teams and with the senior leadership team and trustees. Provide feedback to colleagues, communicating project learning and celebrating successes

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of planning and project managing charity campaigns. messaging frameworks and multi-channel communications (or similar complex projects), leading to achievement of goals and targets. 

• Highly organised and able to manage a range of activities across different teams, encouraging and motivating colleagues to support the project goals and creating compelling project updates and reports. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills and confident working with key stakeholders at many levels within the charity.  

• Knowledge of key fundraising and charity disciplines, including experience of digital marketing and engagement.
