LSFRC is an accommodation-based service, set across Lambeth including hub sites situated in Brixton and West Norwood. The service provides care and support to over 60 customers living with enduring long term mental health. We also provide a service for two short-term post hospital discharge schemes for customers, who need support following hospital admission. The role of our Support Worker plays a crucial role in fulfilling our customers' expectations, making a positive difference and where appropriate supporting customers to step down to a lower level of support.

Barnardo's Swansea Supported Lodgings Service is looking for a dedicated and motivated Support Worker (Project Worker 1) to join our small, dynamic team on a full-time basis (37 hours per week).

In this rewarding role, you'll be part of a service that provides safe, bespoke accommodation and tailored support to young people within welcoming host households across Swansea. You will be working directly with young people to help them develop the skills and confidence they need to move on to independent living.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following duties (in addition to those on the generic job description):-

• To offer direct support to young people living within a supported lodgings placement.
• To work co-operatively with the supported lodgings coordinator to plan and deliver support to young people.
• To work in partnership with young people to complete regular support plans and to act on these plans to develop skills for their future.
• To liaise with staff members from a range of statutory and voluntary services with regard to young people's needs
• To inform young people of their responsibility when placed in accommodation and to monitor their co-operation with the required standard of behaviour.

You will have: (Essential Criteria)

•  Experience of working with vulnerable young people and an awareness of the factors impacting on their lives (disadvantage, poverty, disability, substance use and misuse, mental health difficulties as well as loss, separation and attachment difficulties) this could be in a voluntary as well as paid setting.
• An understanding of service user support planning, monitoring and reviewing 
• Able to manage a workload and to prioritise competing demands.
• Experience of working within Safeguarding policies and protocols.

The Supported Lodgings service provides safe, supportive, short‑term accommodation for vulnerable young people aged 16 to 21 within ordinary family homes in the community. The service helps young people to develop and maintain the independence and social skills they need to successfully move on to more independent living. It also supports them to make positive use of education, training, employment, and social or recreational opportunities available to them. Above all, the service works alongside young people to help them plan for the next stage of their lives and feel confident in taking those next steps.

Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to continued funding and therefore should this funding not be extended further, you may be subject to a redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement.

Your main office base will be at Children Matter, Swansea, Penlan but you will be expected to work locally and in the wider community.

The role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)

As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved (and affected) by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Support planning, organisation of, and attendance at, in person and online events through funded projects and services to bring together adopted and care-experienced individuals and young people and adoptive and kinship families, enable peer support, build a sense of community and promote an active and supportive Community Network.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working alongside service leads within the communities team, and with the wider Adoption UK Scotland team members to plan and deliver specific events and activities for adoptive and kinship community members, and care experienced children and young people via our E Project youth service for children, teens and young adults.

• Provide administrative coordination for community event provision, including collating event materials, gathering feedback and evaluations for reporting purposes, supporting delivery of events, maintaining records using existing required systems, and responding to enquiries via our Information and Support line and relevant email inboxes.

• Working alongside Communications colleagues and across teams to ensure promotion of events to relevant target groups 

• Attending events to promote the wider work of AUK Scotland at conferences or support groups

Floating Support Worker will provide time limited support to young people who hold their own tenancy which is at risk of being lost. Where you’ll be working

St Mungo’s Bristol Accommodation Services are taking on an exciting expansion, including supported housing Toll House Court in Southville, and Semi Independent Accommodation across West and East Bristol.

These services provide accommodation and housing related support to people experiencing homelessness; dedicated to providing a safe, trauma informed, high quality and inclusive service to people while they are living in the hostel with the aim of working towards a positive move-on into independent housing. 

You will join a dynamic team of managers, day shift and night shift workers, taking part in the renewal of the service, helping us to provide a psychologically-informed environment and a supportive and secure place where our residents can make meaningful life changes.

What you’ll be doing as a Project Worker

• Oversee a caseload of clients and provide ongoing 1-1 support in an approachable, caring and person-centred way.
• Provide practical and personal support to clients with complex needs around areas such as housing and health. 
• Have a good understanding of a person centred approach and how to provide the right support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and making plans to achieve them.  
• Work with the team, external statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to ensure everyone has access to available support.  
• Continue to develop your skills further around working with clients in a holistic way - we will provide training and support to help you gain a deeper understanding of housing and benefits law, and other specialist areas through training, supervision and line management support. 

When you'll be working

You will work full time on-site on a 7‑day rolling rota, including early shifts from 7:30am, late shifts until around 10pm, bank holidays, and two extended weekend shifts in every six. Some roles also offer a 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm–8am Monday to Friday, and for all weekend hours.
