Copywriter & Product Manager

We’re looking for a Christian who is passionate about defeating leprosy and transforming lives. If you want to use your skills to build God’s kingdom here on earth, we’d love to hear from you!

We looking for an experienced story teller, from either a marketing, fundraising or communications setting, able to land messages powerfully both in print and digitally. You will raise funds and awareness of our work for people affected leprosy, by developing and marketing our Gifts for Life product range. In addition, you will support the development of own brand products for the Christian gift market, including Christian books, Christian greeting cards and products that reference bible verses.

Today, one person is diagnosed with leprosy every three minutes. It is a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. The physical effects of the disease are brutal, but the social effects are even worse. Severe stigma means that people can be thrown out of their families and communities. Rejected and isolated, they are left with no opportunities and no hope. This is not how God wants people affected by leprosy to live. Our work aims to restore life in all its fullness.

The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with 152 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. We work in thirty countries.

The Leprosy Mission Shop is 100% owned by The Leprosy Mission International. It exists as a marketing tool for TLM in the UK, raising funds and awareness by selling a range of products through its mail order catalogue and website. TLM Shop is a Christian business, serving people of all faiths and none. There is an occupational requirement for the Copywriter and Product Manager to be a committed Christian as you will be producing Chrisitan communications and developing Christian own brand products for the Christian gift market.

Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week.

Location: Peterborough based with hybrid option.
