About the role
The Engagement & Outreach Service Manager will lead the development and implementation of this service, combining previous work from CIT and Wellbeing teams, as well as managing a team of Outreach Workers and Complex Needs Case Workers. The Service Manager will deliver effective service within the Passage Resource Centre and across the outreach footprint and will develop and implement an EASL service within the Engagement & Outreach Service, liaising closely with the EASL team to tailor the service to meet clients needs.
Main duties
- The lead on the development, implementation, and day to day running of the service, treating every client with dignity and respect.
- To take a key role in the smooth running of the Passage Resource Centre, carrying out Duty Manager responsibilities in collaboration with other Community Services Managers.
- To provide inspirational leadership and day to day management/supervision of the team, which includes the CIT Coordinator, CIT Outreach Workers, and specialist Complex Needs Case Workers.
- To develop and foster positive working relationships with diverse partner organisations, with a specific focus on outreach, health and treatment related partners.
- To be the lead expert for the organisation around the themes of health and wellbeing, dual diagnosis, mental health and substance use, translating this to providing expertise.
Desired experience
- Leading a team or teams delivering effective services to groups of vulnerable clients, in either a supported housing, support, care or other relevant environment and monitoring the performance of those services.
- Experience of writing and implementing operational plans and contributing to longer term planning.
- Organising a demanding and varied workload, planning work and projects and successfully completing these to set deadlines.
- Effective experience of building constructive working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts to produce positive outcomes, with a specific focus on health-related impact or services.
Desired knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of the support needs of people experiencing homelessness and multiply disadvantaged people and the ability to translate knowledge into good practice.
- In depth understanding of statutory mental health services, treatment services, primary and acute care settings that are relevant to the groups of people we work with.
- Knowledge of good practice in relation to harm reduction, safety planning and risk management.
- Knowledge of effective leadership and management techniques and how these are applied.

In delivering this role, you will provide a highly responsible administrative service to our colleagues who manage property payment (rent/arrears) collections, lease/housing management and compliance delivery within the organisation.

• Resident information
• Property and Compliance data
This is a dynamic role where you will work closely, building effective communication links across the Asset and Housing Management Team and the Finance Team to enable proactive and effective information posting and up to date property/compliance information.
In addition, you will support the wider Asset Management Team within administrative and system related tasks and work flexibly where necessary to attend team meetings and liaise with colleagues which may include traveling to YMCA DLG sites.

You will already have experience working in a varied administrative role, competent in using software packages (MS Office applications) and rent/ payment databases.
You will be an effective communicator at all levels with both colleagues and external partners, with the ability to self-motivate, work using your initiative and prioritise your workload. You will appreciate the need for an eye for detail, have demonstrable experience of reconciling data and other financial information.
In addition, you will have a basic understanding of the key risks, challenges and opportunities for young people which may impact on their ability to pay rent, along with a basic understanding of supported housing.

Ivy Rock Partners are pleased to be working with an outstanding housing association to help recruit a motivated Financial Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong financial control environment, preparing statutory accounts, and managing the audit processes. You will drive continuous improvement within the financial accounting and control function and play a key role in ensuring their finance services deliver the best outcomes for their residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute appropriate financial controls and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual statutory accounts for group entities, supported by detailed schedules.
- Manage the delivery of interim and final audits for assigned group entities, including conducting analytical reviews of financial statements.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts, group investments, and borrowings on a monthly basis, maintaining up-to-date statutory account schedules.
- Prepare and submit all regulatory returns, including FVA and Companies House filings.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly group control accounts reconciliations.
- Contribute to the quarterly financial health reports for group entities, providing Management and the Audit & Risk Committee with a comprehensive overview of associated risks.
- Support continuous performance improvements across the financial accounting and control function.
- Maintain accurate and detailed financial data using Excel and in-house systems.
- Collaborate with finance business partners and heads of services to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly control account reconciliations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CCAB-recognised accounting qualification (ACA qualified is desired).
- Extensive experience in preparing regulatory financial returns and managing filings with FVA and Companies House.
- Proven track record in managing interim and year-end audits, with effective coordination with auditors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex data, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with D365 and Power BI is desired.
