What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with email campaigns and newsletters (e.g. Mailchimp)

Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective financial management, control, and statutory reporting of the organisation and its associated entities. This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure to financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, systems oversight, and stakeholder engagement within a values-driven environment. Key responsibilities are as follows:

• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts, including year-end close procedures, consolidations, and audit adjustments.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing audit timelines and responding to queries.
• Prepare the annual organisational budget in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
• Produce quarterly management accounts and oversee reconciliations across different entities and departments.

You will:

• Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Have strong financial control experience, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector though applications from other sectors will be considered.
• Have experience preparing complex statutory accounts (ideally under the Charities SoRP / FRS 102) and managing external audits.
• Have an interest in working for an organisation with strong values relating to social justice, care and integrity.

Important Information

About us

The Sir Martin Gilbert Learning Centre is an educational charity whose mission is to educate young people about who Jews are and the contributions they have made to society. About Care4Calais

Care4Calais (C4C) is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in northern France and the UK. We support through on-the-ground assistance, and advocate for a fair asylum system - including safe routes to the UK with refugee rights on arrival.

We work alongside people seeking safety to ensure access to daily essentials, and fill gaps where state support is not provided. We are here for everyone attempting to navigate the complexities of claiming asylum in the UK - providing access to justice, and practical, welcoming support. We also communicate to the public the need for action in support of refugees. Our vision is an inclusive society where people seeking safety have a safe home and a bright future free from inequality.

In northern France we operate year round from Calais, providing warm clothing, shoes, shelter, services, and assistance to refugees living in appalling conditions.

Across the UK we collect and distribute clothes and other essential items, and provide social support and interaction including language lessons, sport and music workshops. We also help with vital access to legal, medical and educational services. We are a community with the shared goals of creating a just asylum system, and a fair and welcoming society for all refugees.

Our work involves organising successful campaigns against racist UK government policies, such as the Rwanda plan and the use of barracks as accommodation for people seeking sanctuary.

All of Care4Calais' operations are supported by a small, dedicated staff team, who supervise large volunteer teams to provide critical support to asylum seekers and people on the move in both the UK and France.

About the role

The UK Operations team provides essential psychosocial support to people seeking safety through practical services; such as running distributions, delivering English classes and drop ins, as well as activities to promote wellbeing such as trips and sports activities.

The UK Field Operations Manager will be responsible for managing our operations in London, working as part of the UK Field Operations Team to support large teams of grassroots volunteers to provide essential support to people seeking safety. 

You will need to onboard and motivate volunteers through continuous engagement and support to ensure that proper safety procedures for effective  distributions and activities are in place, well communicated, and consistently applied. The performance of each region and team needs to be regularly assessed and action taken to build capacity and skills where needed. Successful Field Operations Managers will build networks with local charities, community groups and Local Authorities to help grow and develop the operations of the local Care4Calais volunteer teams. As an operation, continuous improvement through research, learning and development of practices and policies will be critical. The successful candidate for this role will be proactive and hardworking with the ability to problem-solve and prioritise effectively. The role would suit someone who is a self-starter, a strong team player and excels working in a varied role. Candidates will need strong organisational skills and must have the ability to make numerous important and compassionate decisions each day.
You will be expected to demonstrate excellent judgement, initiative, integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with a diverse group of people. You will be part of Care4Calais’ core team in the UK and will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to grow this vital area of income. The Fundraising & Communications Cluster comprises expertise in fundraising, marketing, communication, trading (web shop), supporter engagement and retention. Working collaboratively, we serve our supporters by providing authentic and engaging communications inspiring active social witness, engagement and giving to charity. 

The Fundraising & Communications Cluster strengthens Embrace’s communication, education, and fundraising efforts to drive growth, so that more people engage with our content, more donors are attracted to support, and the UK church is more deeply engaged with the cause - enabling us to fund more work in the region and generate a deeper understanding of Christian service in the Middle East.

As Individual Giving Manager, you’ll help us grow sustainable income by keeping individual supporters inspired, informed and engaged - so they give again, stay longer, and deepen their support.

You will deliver an excellent supporter journey experience, project managing engaging and compelling direct and digital individual giving activity (including – but not limited to – appeals, regular giving conversion & upgrade, lapsed reactivation) and incorporating legacies marketing, raising more than £1m voluntary income each year.

Supporter Experience & Journeys

• Map and continually improve journeys: welcome → second gift; regular giving nurture/upgrade; mid-value; legacy prospecting; lapsed reactivation; complaint recovery.
• Set cadence and channel mix (email, mail, phone, SMS, social, events, digital) for consistent, donor‑first communications in appropriate channels and accessible formats.

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:

• Educated to degree standard or equivalent (E.g. practical experience within fundraising).
• Member of Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
• Proven individual giving or CRM led retention experience in a charity, membership or subscription context. 
• Hands‑on journey design and automation.
• Strong data literacy: segmentation, dashboards (CRM/Excel), test and learn. 
• Excellent written communication—able to brief compelling, impacted content and clear supporter updates. 
• Practical project management; calm under pressure; collaborative and solutions focused. 
• Working knowledge of GDPR/PECR and best practice supporter care. 
• Experience stewarding mid-value supporters and legacy pipelines.
• Experience with payment recovery tools and card update flows.

Justice & Care is seeking an experienced, relationship-led and entrepreneurial Head of Philanthropy to lead the growth of transformational major donor income that will help end modern slavery and support survivors to rebuild their lives.

Justice & Care is a pioneering anti-slavery organisation working globally to disrupt and dismantle criminal networks while walking alongside survivors on their journey to freedom and recovery. About the Role 

The Young Women’s Multiple Disadvantage Advocate (YWMDA) is part of our Intersectional Anti-Oppressive Team and the CouRAGEus project, an innovative pan-London programme supporting Black and minoritised young women and girls experiencing gender-based violence, poor mental health, and multiple disadvantage.

In this role, you will provide holistic, trauma-informed advocacy and support, managing a caseload of young women with complex needs. This includes risk assessment, safety planning, and multi-agency working to help clients access services, build resilience, and improve wellbeing. You will empower young women and girls to increase their safety, strengthen resilience, and access the support they need to thrive.

As the Young Women's Multiple Disadvantaged Advocate, you will:

• Deliver one-to-one advocacy, support, and safety planning 
• Manage risk and safeguarding concerns
• Work with partners across health, social care, and VCS
• Engage marginalised young women through outreach
